Around about 2121 edition I decided to order everything going forward on cotgonline. I’ve done every edition since and also built up 2087-2102 online to supplement my card stock. Online is the only way I can realistically play these days. But the other day I thought how nice it would be to have colour cards and handbooks. I thought about ordering all the missing stuff but it’d be around $300 =£250 and I think I’d be headed for divorce if my wife found out!!! If you were to order one edition for the colour look and presentation what one stands out the most in that form?
Do most players still order the physical cards etc ? I guess I am ok with online and I do always download the handbook pdf to store locally too but it’s different with the cards. A user is at the mercy of an online service and it may not last forever and then I’d lose all the cards. Do any other online users have similar concerns?

For GWF (and the new CWF) I'm pretty much online. For Legends and Indys, I still do physical cards.

I'm crazy... I do both. I play almost exclusively online, but I adore the physical cards and have been getting them for over 25 years. No need to stop now :-)

I did that for a while but money just won't allow both anymore.

Yeah, I get that. I went years without ordering a set at all, but the past few years have allowed me to get caught up and stay current. With there usually being a month between pre-order and online dropping, I can space it out a bit. Plus I don't really collect much else but the occasional blu-ray or book. Filsinger gets all my "disposable" income these days, haha.

Yeah cost is the problem. I have most stuff online including 80s mania, aCe and even some legends stuff (not into the Chikara, ring of honour offshoots). I’d hoover all the physical editions up if I could afford. Not to use (unless Online stopped) but as collecting to try and keep pristine. All my old stuff from early 90s has seen better days. Many cards foolishly coloured by myself. Oh well. I did price a load of stuff up and then got an extra nasty shock when VAT was added! I think for now I might get the 2125 Legends starter set which I saw was $50. Compared to the old black and white card stock are the coloured cards sturdier?
Prob will plump for CWF, Future Shock in online form when that comes

I do both. Online is mostly how I play now but I still get the cards in case I go somewhere with other players from the community and we break out the cards. Also I might go to a convention where indy and legends are and bring their cards to get signed.

I've gotten a lot of my cards (mostly SHIMMER, but some Legends and Indy stuff, too) signed. Starrcast was very good to me last year for Legends and I attend SHIMMER shows regularly, so I have most of those cards signed. I'm not big on autographs normally, but there's something pretty sweet about getting the game cards scrawled on with someone's signature.

I'm online for play 90% of the time. It will be closer to 💯 when I get caught up as I am trying to widdle down my physical card collection to none.
Online works well for me. Hope it doesn't go anywhere!

I think I’ll definetly make a big effort to buy the card stock over time. In terms of GWF what is the first edition in colour? I know the originals and 2088 have colour re-release with new art but am I right thinking martial law was the first colour set?
