APW Ep13
Lio Rush vs Biff Buisick
Lio’s speed is just too much for Biff, who suffers a loss quickly. Not an impressive debut for Buisick so far!
Winner - Lio Rush
Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli are backstage with Hero saying that now CC is surely in line for a title shot after being so dominant lately, and they’re going to win the tag tournament and run this show!
Tag tournament match - Premier Athletic Brand (Tony Nese & Trent Barrett) vs The Spectral Envoy (Frightmare & Hallowicked)
The representatives from Chikara started strong, but So Cal Val grabbed an ankle to give her team the chance to take over. Nese had Hallowicked in big trouble for a while but the Envoy managed to turn it around and put Nese away with a seemingly endless chain of finishers.
Winner - The Spectral Envoy
Will Ospreay comes out before his match to say that he’s still in line for his title shot, and has signed for it to take place at the Tag tournament finals supercard against whoever wins tonight. He sarcastically adds ‘Good luck Cole’.
Will Ospreay vs Adam Page
Two guys looking to settle their match from a few weeks ago, a great match that frequently spills to the outside, both guys matching each other with Ospreay’s speed offsetting Page’s power. Again Chris Sabin appears on the apron, this time Ospreay manages to take him down with a springboard kick, but that gives Page the opportunity to hit a Deadeye on Ospreay to win.
Winner - Adam Page
Page and Sabin flare at each other as Sabin backs up the ramp.
APW World Championship match - Adam Cole vs Jay Lethal
Jay Lethal opens with a lot of aggression, as has been customary. Cole spends a long time on a back foot, trying to string together a few moves but Lethal keeps cutting him off. The match spills to the outside where both men do some serious damage, ramming each other into the barricade and ring post. Jay put Cole on the announce table and delivered a big diving elbow to smash through it! Both men took a long time to recover and Cole was loosing blood quickly. Lethal threw him back into the ring but as he climbed in himself, Cole kicked the middle rope to crotch Lethal on it, buying him just enough time to deliver a superkick to the back of the head and position himself for a Panama sunrise to the recovering Jay.
Winner - Adam Cole
