Great buildup for the upcoming shows. I'm looking forward Aries vs. Gargano vs. Cole and then one of them facing Black. I also love that six-man tag with Omega, Steen & Generico vs. Galloway, Scurll and Castagnoli.

Thank you for the comments cruefan68 . I am also looking forward to the six man match in London. Card 02 – Welcome to the Proving Ground – Austrian Continental Club, Burlington, ON, August 18, 2019 Cedric Alexander crushed Dalton Castle in the opener connecting first with a KICK 2 KILL PART II followed by a LUMBAR CHECK for the victory in one side contest. Dud Shaun Ricker pinned El Generico in a match that was not without controversy after back to back GRAVEY TRAINS. The referee was taken out of action early for eight moves and Generico appeared to have the match won during that time on two occasions. Later Ricker managed to kick out of the third SPIKE BRAINBUSTER of the match before mounting an impressive comeback. 4.0 Tomoka Nakagawa battled “The Wounded Owl” Lufisto in a strong style showdown and Lufisto came away with the disqualification victory when Nakagawa took a chair from her opponent and used it resulting in the referee calling the match. Both ladies brawled after the match. 1.0 Dojo Brothers downed the team of Will Ospreay and Ricochet by disqualification in an absolute thriller that saw Osprey & Ricochet both miss their big finishers once during the contest and Ricochet hit his 630 Senton on Eddie Edwards but Roderick Strong made the save to keep the match alive. The end came when Ospreay was disqualified for using a chair to deck Roderick Strong after a heated brawl on the floor. As a result, the Dojo Brothers receive a shot at the Tag Team Titles. 4.0 “Hangman” Adam Page picked up the victory over Jay Lethal in the third straight disqualification decision when Lethal used a chair to deck Page during a wild brawl on the floor costing him the win despite dominating the match from the opening bell. 1.0 Johnny Gargano downed Adam Cole and Austin Aries in 3-way number one contenders match. The opening fall saw Johnny Gargano dominate both opponents using several GARGANO ESCAPES. Late in the fall, Cole broke up a GARAGNO ESCAPE on Aries and then planted Aries with a PANAMA SUNRISE to steal the fall. Cole started out strong in the next fall and had Gargano on the defensive but Gargano countered a backdrop with a piledriver and locked in a GARGANO ESCAPE to claim the victory in his only offensive move of the fall to become the number one contender. 3.5 Pick Six 1. Johnny Gargano 2. Adam Cole 3. Austin Aries 4. Claudio Castagnoli 5. Will Ospreay 6. Brodie Lee

By virtue of his victory at Proving Ground, Johnny Gargano will be the challenger for the Ontario Championship Wrestling Title held by Tyler Black when the action heads to London Music Hall on the 24th. Plus, David Marquez has confirmed that Ontario Championship Wrestling Tag Team Champions Young Bucks will put their titles on the line against the Dojo Brothers!
Looking to remain in title contention will be Austin Aries, however his opponent Brodie Lee will be hungry to move up the pick six list closer to the title shot when they meet in one on one battle of contenders.
Rounding out the card will be a battle between two men who have both teamed together and feuded all over North America as Adam Cole face Kyle O’ Reilly. This is a huge opportunity for O’Reilly who will be looking to knock Cole out of the top spot in the pick six contenders list.

Was really pulling for Adam Cole (BAY-BAY!) in the top contenders match... But, Gargano displayed great ring awareness to come out on top... Fun show!

Card 03 – Born to be Wild – London Music Hall, London, ON, August 24, 2019
Matt Sydall picked up a disqualification victory over a frustrated Shaun Ricker in a match the featured a perfect big man vs. high flyer storyline. Ricker controlled early but Sydall managed to battle back even connecting with a SHOOTING SYDAL PRESS for a big near fall but Ricker let his anger get the best of him when he decided to make use of chair to lay out his opponent. 3.0
Dalton Castle had all the right moves tonight against Cedric Alexander putting in an impressive performance and sealing the win with a DEADLIFT GEMAN SUPLEX that was set up by a knee lift/suplex combo. 1.0
Brodie Lee was able to use his size to control the action against Austin Aries and eventually pick up the win after the third Brody Bomb of the contest. Aries showed some guts kicking out of five pin attempts including twice after two BIG BOOTS. 1.0
In a back and forth battle of former tag team partners, Kyle O’Reilly renewed hostilities with Adam Cole and came away with the win after roll up in the corner when O’Reilly avoided a corner charge from Cole. Both men used their finishers early on in the contest and were not able to put their opponent away. 3.5
Re-Generation X dominated Pretty Bitchin and picked up the win when Allison Danger connected with the Lovelace Choker to Nikki Roxx. 1.5
In a wild back and forth battle, Ontario Championship Wrestling Tag Team Champions Young Bucks defeated Dojo Brothers when the Bucks combined for a spiral neckbreaker onto knee against “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards for the three count. The match featured multiple MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK and a MELTZER DRIVER from the champions and END OF THE HEARTACHE and SICK KICK from the challengers. 4.5
The team of El Generico, “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega & “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” defeated Claudio Castagnoli, Drew Galloway and “The Villain” Marty Scurll when Omega made the hot tag at the end of the bout from a bloodied and battered Steen and connected with a ONE WINGED ANGEL to Castagnoli for the three count. Steen had taken an epic beating prior to the finish including finishers from all three of his opponents. 5.0
Ontario Championship Wrestling Champion Tyler Black defeated Johnny Gargano with GOD’S LAST GIFT in a rather one-sided contest that saw Gargano kick out of several pin attempts. 2.0
Pick Six 1. Kyle O’Reilly 2. Adam Cole 3. Brodie Lee 4. Austin Aries 5. Claudio Castagnoli 6. Johnny Gargano

A little disappointed that Johnny Wrestling failed to offer much of a fight against Black in his bid for the title... However, it seems like the two preceding matches made up for the lack of excitement in the main event... Big win for Omega, Steen & Generico in that six-man contest...
O'Reilly seems to be positioned for a shot at the champ, but I'm really looking forward to someone else getting a crack at the gold... ADAM COLE BAY-BAY!
Fun show!

Tyler Black had a convincing win over Johnny Gargano which was kind of shocking, especially after Gargano earned that big win over Cole and Aries. That six-man tag was even better than expected, what a performance by Kevin Steen!
