Back in the day when I actually had free time...after playing out my regular season I would play out all sorts of off season tournaments. In world cup years I would do a world cup style tournament. I also did a 256 man tournament, which I also tried running at Gcon in my 2nd year before deciding to do the cup tournament instead. I also remember a crazy tournament I ran a few times that featured 100 wrestlers. Started with 25 random tag matches. The winners would go onto 25 singles matches (I believe opponent were redrawn). The winners of that would go to a 25 man battle royal and the top 10 finishers went to a double step ladder tournament finals. Not sure what a real name for it would be but I had 7 vs 10 and 8 vs. 9, winners faced finishers 5 and 6, winners of those faced 3 and 4, winners of that faced 1 and 2 and the winners of those semifinals met for the championship. Not nearly as crazy as some stuff Jim Steel runs, but still a fun way to spend time between game years. As for now I haven't even started 2035 yet...but I do have it plotted out. Maybe Jim is the real "Tournament Master" and you are an imposter! LOL. Jim really does commit to the tournament thing! I almost get lost somewhere in the middle of his! ha.

I am the real Tournament Master, despite the insanity Jim Steel conjures up. He hasn't even won a GalactiCon Cup. JMello did claim the title of Tournament Overmaster a few years ago when I was bogged down with other Gcon stuff, which I was fine with. Jim is the official card supplier of Gcon, so perhaps he does need a new title (besides the Jim Reaper).

So wait.....winning the Galacticon Cup makes you the Tournament Master...then it's the person whose won it four times.

1. TM did ravage through 7 competitors as 1st ever GCon 24/7 Champ 2. Troy should have a lifetime achievement award (or some sort of Championship Title dedicated to him). We could be seeing the beginning of an epic new rivalry, the likes not seen since Austin/Rock! Next GCon could be interesting!

Sadly I am not that far ahead only up to 2128 . But what I would do is keeping playing out matches/feuds till a new year is released . Have you played all special matches in your feuds (cosmic cage , titan death , torture chamber , castor chain , special referee , etc) . Just play them again . Or make matches like 1 v 2 or 2 v 3 then reverse them .

I don't think I was "ever" caught up. When I was closer to the actual "current set" in my fed, I would just keep playing cards until the new set arrived...I would reach a point that I felt was cool to transition and make start a new year. I never followed a certain # of cards per year, so not really a issues with "being all caught up". And if I wanted to run something outside of my normal timeline...hello Kronos and have a little fun pulling guys back out of the folders for some dream match ups.
