MLW Madness is based on March Madness (my favorite event for sports) and I thought it might be fun to make this a contest..
It's time for the annual major tag team tournament, the Sammartino Invitational, for my LOW fed Major League Wrestling (MLW) and if you can predict the most correct outcomes based on the point system listed below then you win a free printed card set (either LOW or COTG) paid for by myself personally!
Note: This means, IF you score the most points on your ballot compared to the rest of the ballots on this board (this same contest is being offered separately on the GBITG but there will be a prize for the winning ballot on each board), I'll pay for your edition of GWF 2124 or the next LOW set to be released this summer. Or if instead you want a printed set already released, such as LOTF 2 or the recent GWFZ Bash edition, that's possible too. I'll send the check to Tournament Master for the set (plus the shipping) that you want. Just win this thing first and then we'll talk.
Rules:
63 single elimination tag matches involving 64 tag teams
(note: For the 4 non-official LOW tag teams f Demolition, Freebirds, Fantastics, and the Rock "N Roll Express, I use their card stats found in Cory Olson's LOW Bootlegs Group).
Everyone here is free to enter, but 1 ballot entry only per member on this board.
All ballots must be completed (First Round all the way through the Final Four) and posted (not PMd) here before the tournament starts on Thursday April 30th. You can modify your ballot BEFORE the tournament begins, but you will be DQd if you submit or modify your ballot once the first tournament results are posted on Thursday April 30th.
Although your finals pick will determine the first tiebreaker if two or more people are tied in points, you need to pick the wrestler scoring the deciding pinfall/submission in the tournament finals in case a second tiebreaker is needed to determine the prize winner.
Point Scoring:
correct First Round picks = 1 point each
correct Second Round Points= 2 points each
correct Sweet 16 picks = 5 points each
correct Elite 8 picks = 8 points each
correct Final Four (semi-finals) pick= 10 points each
Tournament Final= 15 points
First Tiebreaker= correctly picking the tournament winner
Second Tiebreaker= picking the wrestler on the tournament winning tag team who scores the final pinfall or submission
3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational Schedule
First Round= Thursday April 30th
Second Round= Friday May 1st
Sweet 16= Saturday May 2nd (morning/early afternnon)
Elite 8= Saturday May 2nd (evening)
Final Four = Sunday May 3rd
Copy and in this thread paste the ballot below posted with your picks. The numbers in the parentheses are the seeds for each bracket.
If this isn't clear, please PM me and I'll attempt to reexplain it.
Good luck![/b]
