That's a shame. I only really discovered Buddy's work in about the last year or two. Before that I just knew him as the butt of jokes in the WWE (remember the Blow-Away Diet?) Very underrated guy, didn't look like much but could work really well. I especially liked him in the AWA when he tagged up with Doug Somers.
R.I.P. Buddy

Here's all they say on it. RIP Buddy
I received word from Dean Silverstone that Buddy Rose passed away today at his home in Vancouver, WA. His wife, Tammy, came home from work at about 4 PM and found him nonresponsive in his favorite chair.
While I know that everybody has a strong opinion on Rose, this is still a sad situation.
RIP, Playboy.

He was awesome in Portland, good in the AWA and fun in the WWF. RIP Buddy.

RIP Rose.
In my LOW fed, Rose was actually my first Cruiserweight Champion (he qualified for cruiserweight status based on his dubious weight claim) and is scheduled to try to regain that title in a PPV next month.
Someday I hope we get Doug Somers in LOW to go along with Rose and Sherri Martel. I would use Rose and Somers as a tag team as I thought they had a great feud with Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty of the Midnight Rockers in the AWA.

In another thread on Kayfabe (believe it was the AWA forum), it stated he was battling diabetes. No doubt his weight, which looked like he was up around 375-400, and his battle with diabetes...it was a matter of time. One friend of Buddy has a good write up in the AWA Section www.infinitecore.com/superstar/index.php?threadid=62183
