I had a match recently same move 5 straight times. Sigh. Oh man, yes. It's a bummer to commentate on, right? (even if you're doing it only for yourself). For some holds, it's a little bit easier: I just say the wrestler is somehow keeping it up rather than reapplying again and again. It gets a little silly if someone gets too Throwy of the Ringy though 😅

Out of the ring is definitely a killer. And then sometimes you get one guy gets thrown out, takes control and what does he do...yep throw his opponent out.

I don't have a hard-and-fast rule for doing this, but similar to how some people declare "5-10 more moves and if it's not over by then, it's a draw," I've rolled for countout for both guys if I get too many out of the rings in a row.

Change shoulder tackle to clothesline and you have every Ultimate Warrior and Lex Luger match ever....

If I get the same move more than a couple times in a row, in my head I play it off like they are showing a replay from different camera angles. Like, “Oh, what a shoulder tackle! Let’s take a look at that again!”
Unless it’s a Finisher, in which case I either play it as is—like the guy can’t put his opponent away. Or, if it’s a grudge match, I might say the wrestler on offense hit his big move, then pulled the opponent up off the canvas to hit it again.
