I am 100% by the book and have always used the characters in their respective feds. I was 100% by the book guy forever despite being gravely disappointed and let down by many characters storylines (Mother Superior was the first one that really bothered me). When Tom got me all pumped up for a big Sudden Death with that Crime Stoppers set — then the next set we found out it meant nothing — that really burst my bubble, I’m loyal to a fault - working hard on being more loyal to myself, including my fed. It’s too late to write a great ending story for Mother Superior, Hector and others, but I’m going to try and not make the same mistakes again with some current guys. MONOLITH getting downgraded in the book because Tom didn’t want him beating Apex is another one. That never felt right to me so I didn’t do it. Far as mixing them - no different than LOW. They all have 18 moves, 4 chart ratings etc…all cards are designed using the same rules. I’ve done it and will continue to do it. Same here. I've been by the book since the beginning and just recently started changing things to suit what I wanted. Little things at first, tag teams and team names, who is heel or face, now storylines (ex. I put Sabre, DOT and the reimagined Executioner together in 2136 and they are crushing my Trios titles) I can always course correct down the line if I want. I won't be downgrading Monolith either the same way I didn't downgrade Thunder or anyone else in 2118. If the card says it, I'll do it, until then, fight with the stats you got. Now back to the subject. I haven't mixed the three yet but have given it serious thought. I think what I'll eventually do is mix the three into a AEW style rival to the GWF, that is if I ever come close to current.

Coming back to this, and going off Swarm's post, CWF 2115 was the first physical CotG set I ever bought cause the concept of a side fed having it's own thing going on is just cool to me. It's why I like Indy wrestling. This was back when Raven, Pegasus and the like were the only Kronos guys there. Maybe Brothers in Arms and The Mercenaries too.(could be more too)
So on mail day, I was super ready to read the booklet and look at the cards and start immediately. I went through the stack of cards and got to the freebies in the back. I wasn't expecting a lot from it but I told myself whoever the freebies were are part of my CWF. It was Anivar, Coven Black, and MONOLITH. He chased Chaos through dimensions just to get another piece of him, and I popped so hard to it. Sometimes going off script just has that magic.

I understand and see your perspective.I have always been a monster heel or monster face guy...So Chaos,Alpha Force,Mayday,End of Days and Monolith are faves of mine.In the case of Monolith I was bummed too.I just thought with all the new characters and the origin theme that it was a soft reset.I usually come up with angles based on the storylines.
