I noticed on the pre-order page, it says $18.00 for the "Legends Originals Total Package". I know this is the term Tom used for the inclusion of all 12 wrestlers, plus the midgets and the conversion chart. But I was wondering if he was also throwing a hint in there that possibly Lex Luger is in this set.
I dunno, it's early in the morning and I'm reaching. Still happy to see Danielson, but feel a little letdown, due to my own expectations, nothing that Tom said however.
I'm looking forward to Gang, Street, Danielson, Roop, Low Low & Beaver the most. The others are eh, to me, and me only.

As a fan of Detroit wrestling, which didn't even have a name like NWA or AWA or WWWF, just "big-time wrestling," the wrestlers were all but ignored even though we look back at them now as "legends." I'd go to the store to get the national wrestling magazines and I'd look for news or articles about the Sheik and Johnny Valentine and my favorites and there was practically nothing. It was all about the WWWF, NWA, and feds like that and the wrestlers covered were Bruno Sammartino, Harley Race, over and over again. This. Times about one-thousand. As a former native-born Memphis Wrasslin' fan, I gotta say, I used to buy those wrestling mags looking for Lawler, Dundee, Fargo, Rich, Valiant or any of my old heroes back in the day. And all I saw was Florida, the Northeast, the Carolinas and sometimes Texas. But who can deny that Jerry Lawler had an impact on wrestling history? Or Jim Cornette? Or any of the multitudes of stars that cut their teeth in Memphis. Some of them already a part of LOW. I was sold on this set at Adrian Street. Bryan Danielson is icing on the cake. A gutsy move to put him in LOW and not LOTF. But I think he deserves to be there. I mean, I can't see how people would want the Blue Meanie in LOW and NOT Bryan Danielson. He's easily one of the best wrestlers of this era. And, really, if Tom had signed HHH or Cena or RVD, would you want them in LOTF just because they are either active or still could be? What about Foley? He's still wrasslin'. Does he go into LOTF too? Danielson is at the top of his game. If we had the territories back, he would be the Nick Bockwinkel or Harley Race of the new millenium. Thank you, Tom. This is a huge signing. I can't wait to put the American Dragon up against the likes of Rikidozan and Antonio Inoki. This is really shaping up to be a great set.

Everyone can have their own opinion. It's not like I hate the Daneilson signing (far from it) I just think it got a bit overhyped.

I think Danielson is an outstanding addition to the game. That will all the other great names will make this edition one that will impact the game. Even if you are not a huge Danielson fan, he is at the level where he can be useful in both LOW and LOTF.
I can honestly say that I have little to no use for the Little Beaver and Sky Low Low, but I ordered them also as part of the total package b/c it is important to have the complete LOW / LOTF roster. {Also ordered the two LOTF Special Editions}

I think the Danielson signing is huge. He is as big a star in wrestling now as about anyone. Would certainly be happier to see his name than alot of members of the big 2 right now.

One thing to consider with Danielson is that on an international level he's fought for some big promotions. He's a former IWGP Junior Tag Team Champion and the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship. Both are with huge national promotions.
Let's also remember that he was slated to win the NWA World Title but was injured right before.

I probably fall into the "underwhelmed" camp ...
BUT ...
I give Tom credit for the "out of the box" hint ...
Besides, a lot of times I'll get guys into my BCW fed whom I know very little about and then see them build a history via the dice and feuds. There are others I know a lot about who have more or less bombed (relatively speaking) for me ... I kind of like a circumstance where the real-life history (what you know of it) fades somewhat, replaced by the version of history you've seen unfold before your eyes/with your dice ...
Then again, I'm a Cleveland sports fan, so I've had a lot of practice with this ...
In any case, we'll see ... that's part of the fun ...
That, and waiting for the remaining names ... :-)

Love the Danielson signing, I'm also a big ROH fan though so go figure. He has great matchups in the LOW (Liger, Tiger Mask, Hodge) and the LOTF (Hero, Claudio, Quakenbush). He also could play face or heel as he has done the majority of his career.
I was pretty pumped to see Gang because I loved the UWF and we already have a few guys from there. Street gave me a character whose storylines could be limitless. Its awesome to get a guy like Danielson who is still very relative to the wrestling world. With this signing down the road now I'd love to get Nigel or Morishima, if you havent seen Danielson in the ring check out his series with these 2 guys.
HUGE fan of the art, and cant wait to get the set.

The reason some are having a 'problem' with Danielson is we have LOW and LOTF. If the future editions hadn't been started, then every card would have been in a main low set. I'll try not to get into whether he should be in LOW or LOTF sets. I like him a lot. I think it will be hard to have stats that are going to feel right. Since his card is going in a main LOW set, does that mean he will get a better card then if he was in a LOTF set? Guess we'll find out next month.
