I find it hard to believe that Vince is so afraid of ROH on HDnet moving to Mondays that he would start going after ROH wrestlers....wait, no I don't. Paranoia killed so many great wrestling territories, so why not Vince as well. Will it destroy him - no! Will he try and ruin ROH - I bet yes, at least for a while. Is is frustrating - oh heck yeah!

The sooner WWE understands that wrestlers are not the big monsters they were in the 80's and 90's and more like the early wrestlers in size, the better off they and the fans will be. As it has been pointed out, the success of Eddie, Chris and Rey have shown smaller guys have the ability to hold the main event. That's a really good point. I'm still holding out hope that one day guys like Bret Hart, HBK, Kurt Angle, Edge, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, and CM Punk will all be either WWE or World Champion. When Vince! When?

Very happy that he'll get to be on the biggest stage to ply his trade and earn a living that matches his talent.
This isn't WWF c.1986.
As noted already there are plenty of guys that have achieved great success without being the roided up monsters that used to be fed to the Hulkster.
CM Punk is doing quite well for himself and he hasn't changed much of anything since his Indy days, aside from a move or two.
Danielson should get the same treatment and it would make sense that the Cattle Mutilation remain his finisher, since no one does it in WWE.
Just see what happens and enjoy the ride.

Yes, ROH, an indy promotion whose existence the general population of wrestling fans is unaware of, on HDNet, a provider that you need a high definition TV to even be able to view, moving to Monday nights has the WWE afraid. I bet it's doing incredible ratings, too! Oh wait, HDNet doesn't subscribe to a ratings program...Well, they're doing great on Pay-Per-View! Wait, nope, Dragon Gate took that one from them. ROH is a sinking ship (Rumor has it that Hammerstein on 9/26 is their last show, though I doubt they'd close shop without finishing the rest of the booked shows for the year), and Vince took, in my opinion, the top guy (And don't give me anything about Aries being the top guy. He's not, and he never really was.) and the only guy worth the time and hassle without having to take the rest of the company. It's a smart move. That's a really good point. I'm still holding out hope that one day guys like Bret Hart, HBK, Kurt Angle, Edge, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, and CM Punk will all be either WWE or World Champion. When Vince! When? I laughed, though Edge really isn't a small guy as far as height is concerned, I was at about eye level with him when I met him last year.

Switchfoot, I truly hope that is just a rumour...I can honestly say that without ROH, I would probably not watch wrestling on television anymore. I have ZERO use for both WWE & TNA. And personally, I'd rather see ROH fold up than be bought by Vince McMahon & watered down & made a mockery of, ala ECW.

I mean, there are better independent promotions right now (PWG and Chikara come to mind), and it's not like ROH has any of their guys locked down to exclusive deals. ROH's best days (IMO) are behind them. PWG and Chikara only seem to get better from what I can tell. Anyone else think that if the show at Hammerstein IS the final show, that Danielson will walk out champion?

I twice watched ROH live this year, and it was spectacular.

Problem is, PWG & Chikara don't have TV deals! Unless of course, Mr. Cuban & HDNet wanted to schedule a weekly independent wrestling program, like the weekly MMA shows.
Just a thought...
And if Hammerstein is indeed the final show, it would be fitting to put the belt on the American Dragon...or find some way for Tyler Black to become the last ROH World champ before he too is on his way to WWE...

Problem is, PWG & Chikara don't have TV deals! But when they do they'll be branded sell outs and will have 'run their course'.

So they don't have a TV deal, it's not too hard to get DVDs of the promotion. Problem with Chikara is they'd probably look too 'nerdy' to the casual fan, though. Tyler Black in the WWE would be...interesting to say the least. He'd fit in pretty well on ECW, and before anyone jumps me for that, ECW/SmackDown are the two shows he'd be most likely to showcase himself on. Same with Dragon. No way would he get any time on RAW.
