Thanks for the comments Crimson and Newog, I agree the SIT vs. The Sheepherders should be fun. Next up is a big show from Ring of Honor...
Ring of Honor - Supercard of Honor - Frontier Fieldhouse - Chicago Ridge, IL (Card #750)
1) Michael Elgin defeated Rhett Titus: The powerful and “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin took on Rhett Titus in a fast paced and hard hitting opening match. Titus was aggressive early and surprised Elgin with the Muff Driver, a crucifix power bomb, resulting in a two count. Elgin stormed back and picked up a big near fall with a charging lariat. He used his power to control from there, including delivering the Deadlift Power Bomb, but surprised Titus by coming off of the top rope with a Flying Bodypress to score the pin.
2) Mike Bennett defeated Eddie Edwards: “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards squared off against “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett in a battle of two men looking for a key victory. Bennett was accompanied to the ring by his girlfriend, Maria Kanellis, and Brutal Bob with both playing a role in the match. Edwards had trouble getting it going in this one and Bennett seized on that by hitting key moves like the superplex and the Prodigy Piledriver. A shaken Edwards also had to deal with the outside interference before Bennett nailed him with the Photo Finish, a fireman’s carry into a cutter, to score the pin.
3) Delirious, Rhino, & Matt Taven defeated El Generico, Tommaso Ciampa, & Jay Lethal: A big six-man tag team match saw the popular trio of El Generico, Tommaso Ciampa, & Jay Lethal battle the House of Truth team of “Red Poison” Delirious, Rhino, & Matt Taven who were accompanied by manager Truth Martini and the Hoopla Hotties. Early action saw Generico use his electrifying offense including hitting the corkscrew moonsault. Rhino would gain control for his side and blasted Ciampa with the Gore but the “Dominant Male” kicked out with authority. Lethal looked great during his time in hitting key moves like the dragon suplex and springboard DDT but it would not lead his team to victory. Delirious caught Ciampa with Red Poison and a short time later Rhino connected with a second Gore on the Italian star to score the pin.
4) Mark & Jay Briscoe defeated Future Shock by Count Out: The reunited Future Shock (Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly) faced a tough challenge in former ROH tag team champions Mark & Jay Briscoe. Cole and O’Reilly have been involved in a bitter feud with S.C.U.M. members Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs, including injuring Jacobs as revenge for a prior injury inflicted on Cole, but that was put aside on this note. On the flip side Mark & Jay Briscoe came into this one angry over their tag team title loss to Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas on the last ROH card in Framingham, MA (Card #740). The former champions controlled this one early including Jay catching Cole with the Jay Driller for a big near fall. Future Shock came back strong with Cole nailing Jay with an enzuigiri setting up a flying dropkick to the seated Briscoe for another big near fall. Later in the match Mark and Jay combined on the Day 1 delivering Dual Super Kicks to Cole but O’Reilly made a last second save on the pin. Both teams fought on the outside several times and that is where this one was decided as Cole was counted out of the ring after taking a Cut-Throat Driver from Mark.
5) Homicide vs. Steve Corino was a DDQ: This match up between the “Notorious 187” Homicide and the “King of Old School” Steve Corino, a key member of S.C.U.M., barely had time to get underway when both men were attacked by SWA star Necro Butcher coming in through the crowd. Wearing his trademark “Choose Death” t-shirt and carrying a fistful of chain, Necro hit the ring with reckless abandon. He busted Corino open with a chain shot to the head and then proceeded to choke Homicide with the weapon. A host of ROH officials ran into the ring attempting to break it up but Homicide recovered and began trading blows with Necro. The two men then brawled out to the floor and over the guard rail battling amongst the fans. A number of other ROH wrestlers, including those on stand by like Tim Donst and Mike Mondo, ran out to help the officials corral the two hardcore brawlers ending a wild scene.
●The surprise appearance of Necro Butcher, who is under contract to the SWA, left the crowd buzzing. Homicide was in a fit of rage backstage and scared off local reporters who tried to get word with him. Instead it was an ROH official who met with the press and he said that talks would be ongoing with the SWA about bringing Necro Butcher in for a potential match with Homicide.
6) ROH tag team titles: Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas© defeated Young Bucks to retain the title: The newly crowned two-time ROH tag team champions Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas, known as “Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team”, put the gold on the line against the determined challenge of the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson). Both teams shook hands before the bell drawing cheers from the crowd. The Bucks were on fire early using their quick tags and great teamwork to control the pace. They hit such moves as the springboard spike tombstone and N’Sync before catching Benjamin with More Bang For Your Buck resulting in a big near fall. Haas was able to turn things around for WGTT and used the Haas of Pain on Nick for a submission chance. The explosive Benjamin also dished out some punishment hitting the top rope German Suplex and springboard clothesline. It would be Benjamin picking up the win for his team when he caught a fatigued Nick with a double leg spinebuster followed up by Paydirt for the pin. Though dejected by the loss the Young Bucks showed great class post-match by engaging in another handshake with Benjamin and Haas. The two then left the ring before trouble appeared…
Coming out through the crowd were a familiar threesome who all have past experience with ROH before the promotion became a part of LOW. The crowd erupted in cheers as Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli, formerly known as the Kings of Wrestling, appeared joined by another superstar in Tyler Black. Hero and Black have been teaming together in the NWC while Castagnoli was competing in both the GWA and CHIKARA on a part-time basis. Hero grabbed the mic and said that if anyone had been paying attention recently they know that he and Black have both alluded to their affiliation with ROH during their matches in the NWC. He added that together with Castagnoli they were going to shake things up and that now much like the legendary Fabulous Freebirds the new Kings of Wrestling was a three-man unit meaning that any of the three could compete in tag team competition. Castagnoli spoke and said that he had already “conquered the world” and that now he was back home with Hero and Black as the new KOW drawing cheers from the crowd. The three then gestured towards Benjamin and Haas that the tag team titles were their goal before leaving the building.
●Following up the surprise appearance of Necro Butcher it was the new Kings of Wrestling – Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, & Tyler Black – making their return to ROH and immediately indicating that they were coming after the tag team titles held by Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas. Unlike Necro it has been learned that all three men have been signed to contracts with ROH ending their respective runs in both the NWC and the GWA. The newly reformed Kings of Wrestling will make their official return on the next ROH card in Baltimore, MD (Card #760) against opponents to be determined.
7) Top Contenders Match: AJ Styles defeated Roderick Strong: The highly anticipated in-ring debut of AJ Styles saw him take on House of Truth member Roderick Strong in a top contenders match. Strong tried to get the jump on Styles at ringside with his manager Truth Martini providing a distraction. That backfired, however, as Styles turned the tables running Strong into a table. Styles went on a nice offensive from there hitting the Fosbury Flop, Spiral Tap, and springboard 450 Splash. Strong made a defensive counter to get back into it and laid out Styles with a Gibson Driver before applying the LeBell Lock. Styles weathered the storm and made a strong comeback connecting with another Spiral Tap before Martini got involved. He went to hit Styles with the Book of Truth but he was nailed with a Pele Kick instead. Styles then hit Strong with the Book of Truth and followed up with the Styles Clash to score the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Styles picked up a big victory over Strong. Those cheers would turn to boos post-match as Strong left the ring instead of adhering to the Code of Honor with Styles.
8) ROH Heavyweight title: Kevin Steen© defeated Davey Richards by DQ to retain the title: The version one defense of the ROH Heavyweight title by “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen came against the man he defeated for the title, Davey Richards, in Framingham, MA (Card #740). Things were pretty intense from the start as they went to adhere to the Code of Honor but Steen went for a takedown instead. That was quickly countered by Richards who nailed Steen with a double stomp. It was on from there with both men exchanging holds and counters building to a great match for the championship. Richards went on a nice offensive and executed kicked to death before trapping Steen in the Ankle Lock for a submission chance. Steen barely got to the ropes for a break and then took the match to the floor. Richards battled back, however, and again applied the Ankle Lock only to have Steve Corino run down to ringside and rake his eyes breaking the hold. Steen took advantage and hit a power bomb onto the ring apron and a 450 Splash. Richards was in a bad way but got some help as Future Shock (Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly) showed up and chased Corino off. The battle picked up from there and ended up out on the floor where it was Richards getting disqualified after repeatedly running Steen into the ring post. A bloody Steen clutched the championship belt and left the ring area as a disgusted Richards was left knowing that he broke the Code of Honor and lost a chance to regain the championship.
●ROH officials made a big announcement following the show that AJ Styles would be granted an opportunity to face Kevin Steen for the ROH Heavyweight title on the next card in Baltimore, MD (Card #760) by virtue of his win over Roderick Strong. Styles was pleased with the news and spoke with local reporters saying that he came to ROH to win the gold and that he was literally wasting no time in getting that opportunity. A perturbed Steen, bandaged up from his battle with Richards, met up with the reporters as well and said that ROH is trying to “stack the deck” against him but he will prevail and turn back the challenge of the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles.

A pretty cool ROH event with a solid win by WGTT and Kevin Steen, but I really liked the two time tag champs retaining and the New KoW trio are really cool...

cruefan68,
Supercard of Honor was a good show. After reading your results, I hoping my own upcoming match between AJ Styles and Roderick Strong will be as good as the one you rolled.
Looking forward to seeing how the new 3 man Kings of Wrestling do using the Freebird rule!

Thanks for the comments Crimson, Vegas, and Bookerbill. That ROH was fun to roll out and Styles-Strong was an awesome match. I'm hoping for some big things from The Freebirds-style KOW. Now get your DVR ready for the next addition of LOW All-Star Wrestling...
LOW All-Star Wrestling (Episode 34) - WMC-TV5 Studios - Memphis, TN (Card #751)
●Announcers Lance Russell and Dave Brown opened the broadcast narrating footage of Frank Gotch becoming a two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion by defeating Magnum T.A. for the title in Baltimore, MD (Card #742). They discussed how Gotch had gone over seven years between title reigns and that he hoped to enjoy a long reign this time around. They then talked about how Gotch will face another two-time world champion in the “King of Men” Fred Blassie on the next NWC card at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (Card #752). As for Magnum it was noted that he is biding his time waiting for a rematch and is now focusing on a huge upcoming match he has against freelance star Randy “Macho Man” Savage on the next SWA card in Norfolk, VA (Card #753).
●LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox was featured in a video taped interview stating that the recent injury suffered by John Tolos at the hands of King Kong Bundy in the AWE (Card #744 in LaCrosse, WI) has resulted in an interesting situation regarding the LOW World tag team titles. He said that with John out it leaves Chris Tolos to defend the belts against former champions Sabu & Rob Van Dam on the upcoming card at MSG. Due to the importance of the match he was allowing Tolos to pick a substitute tag team partner and it was announced that he has selected Ox Baker, the feared Master of the Heart Punch, to team with him and defend the titles. Cox said that the Tolos Brothers had arranged a financial deal with Abdullah Farouk, the manager of Baker, to replace John in the match.
1) Angelo Poffo defeated Les Thatcher by Count Out: A spirited opening match saw the popular Les Thatcher taking on AWE star Angelo Poffo who was accompanied by his manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Poffo was in control early until Thatcher caught him with a series of dropkicks and locked on the Stump Puller. Heenan got involved distracting the referee which allowed Poffo to escape with a thumb to the eye. After cutting off another offensive by Thatcher it was Poffo taking it to the outside where he dropped him with a Neckbreaker leading to the count out decision. Heenan and Poffo stopped by the announce table post-match and “The Brain” took some shots at the injured Blue Meanie saying that Poffo is not finished with him and will put him out of wrestling for good. He also said that the rebuilt Heenan Family will be adding members in the near future.
●Lance Russell interviewed the “Mormon Giant” Don Leo Jonathan at ringside to discuss his huge opportunity upcoming against The Sheik for the LOW International Heavyweight title. The match will take place on the next Pacific Coast Wrestling card in Seattle, WA (Card #755). Jonathan thanked Russell for the introduction and said it was good to be back on ASW remembering his time sitting in on commentary with the esteemed announcer. Jonathan said that he has been in LOW for a long time and has never held a championship but he hoped to change his fortune in Seattle. Russell thanked Jonathan for his time and said that his big win over former seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion Mil Mascaras on the debut card for PCW in Portland, OR (Card #745) gives him a lot of momentum going into his title match with The Sheik.
2) Hillbilly Jim & Cousin Luke vs. Naptown Dragons was a DDQ: The SWA duo of Hillbilly Jim & Cousin Luke took on the Naptown Dragons (“Die Hard” Dustin Lee & Scotty Vortekz) in a heated bout. The Dragons have been making waves coming off a recent run against the Valiant Brothers of the AWE and here they looked to take down the popular Hillbillies. It looked good early as they hit both Dragon’s Breath and Die Hard Trilogy. Big Jim used his size and power to turn the tide and Luke contributed with barefoot stomps on both of the Dragons. The finish saw Vortekz have Luke pinned after hitting Death From Above, a diving double knee drop, but Jim made the save setting off a four-way brawl. The referee was unable to regain control and he called for the bell resulting in the double disqualification decision.
3) Larry Hennig defeated Mr. X: The double tough Larry “The Axe” Hennig, making his return from injury, took on the winless Mr. X (0-44). Hennig, now working out of Pacific Coast Wrestling, was showing some ring rust and Mr. X capitalized on that scoring two counts off of a big elbow and a suplex. Hennig battled back hitting a double forearm hammer before nailing Mr. X with The Axe to score the pin. Hennig spoke with Lance Russell post-match and said that he is proud to be joined by his son, Curt Hennig, in PCW and that revenge was coming against Larry Sharpe and Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. Russell then noted that Larry and Curt would be going against Konnan & Playboy Buddy Rose in a Steel Cage Match on the next PCW card in Seattle, WA (Card #755).
4) Little Beaver defeated Sky Low Low: The entertaining mighty midget stars Little Beaver and Sky Low Low, who have been making the rounds in mixed-tag team action recently, made a special appearance battling each other on ASW. There was plenty of comic relief in this one including Sky denying cheating tactics and then pushing the referee over Beaver who was down on all fours. Beaver twice survived the Dropkick of Sky and came back to score the pin after hitting a Running Knee Lift.
5) Cowboy Bob Orton defeated Ricky Landell: This one was over fairly quickly as NWC star “The Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton took on Ricky Landell. Orton is known for his great technical skills and he briefly displayed them here as he took apart Landell and scored the pin following a Middle Rope Splash. Orton spoke with Dave Brown post-match and said that he didn’t use his trademark finishing move, the Superplex, because there was “no need for it” and he was saving it for “better competition” in the future.
6) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Tiger Mask© defeated Exotic Adrian Street to retain the title: This special attraction featured Tiger Mask defending the LOW Junior Heavyweight title against GWA star Exotic Adrian Street, one-half of the Hell’s Angels who was accompanied by his valet Miss Linda. It is interesting to note that Street was the first man to win the junior heavyweight title beating Bobby Eaton in a tournament final in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (Card #101). He was hoping to strike gold again but even a key distraction by Miss Linda couldn’t save him. Tiger was clicking on all cylinders and hitting breathtaking moves like the jumping spin kick and twisting moonsault. He scored the pin after executing the Tiger Suplex and the victory, which was his version seven defense of the title, tied him for the record with Eaton, Roy Heffernan, and Billy Red Lyons.
●It was announced during the show that another championship match would take place on the next edition of ASW (Card #761 in Memphis, TN) with the Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai & Judy Martin) defending the SHIMMER tag team titles against Mildred Burke & Jazz.

Entertaining card. Tiger Mask continues to roll which is awesome. Enjoyed the commentors and interviews setting up the marque bouts that are up coming. I am pulling for Jonathan to get the better of Shiek. If Magnum drops if bout to the Macho Man will he still get his return match? Looks like there are some important bouts in the near future. As always looking forward to M.S.G.

Thanks for the comments Crimson, AJ, and Bookerbill. The Naptown Dragons have been impressing lately and I agree that Burke & Jazz are a scary team. They could probably compete in the men's division with some success. Magnum T.A. even if he loses to Randy Savage would still be in line for a return match but I'm not sure when I would schedule it. I'm happy for the success that Tiger Mask is having as the junior title has been a hot potato in the past. I hope to have the MSG show posted soon and also Bookerbill the next Kings Road United tour is coming up (Card #762-764) with The Sheik, Ox Baker, and Bruiser Brody among those scheduled to appear.
