Thanks for the comments Pariah and Crimson. The Sheik winning the title was very cool I must admit. Rikidozan had a great run as champion but The Sheik had his number in Dallas. Adam Cole qualifying was huge as it puts him in an interesting position for Bullet Club leadership alongside Kenny Omega and AJ Styles. Omega has the junior title and Styles has his PWI Cup qualifier coming up against Johnny Saint so the pressure is on AJ to get into the tournament. Firpo over The Crusher was a shocker to me as it looked like it might go the other way. Firpo has been very impressive thus far. As for The Fantastics they had a tough challenge from the Naptown Dragons that is for sure. The Dragons don't have the best won-loss record in my fed but they bring it in every match that is for sure.

LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - Arena Mexico - Mexico City, Mexico (Card #1075)
1) Super Crazy defeated Matt Striker: The sell-out crowd at Arena Mexico erupted in cheers as Super Crazy, a native of Mexico City, hit the ring to take on Matt Striker of LOW All-Star Wrestling. It was a surprise appearance by Crazy who recently left World of Sport to sign with PCW just in time to make his debut in the famed building. Crazy was on fire early until he went for the Triple Moonsault which was blocked by Striker. That led to a good offensive by Striker, capped off by hitting the Lung Blower, but he was unable to put Crazy away. Crazy rebounded with such moves as the Crazy Bomb, which he hit several times, before coming off the top rope with the Moonsault for the pin.
2) Redd Dogg defeated Scott Casey by Count Out: Popular veteran star “Cowboy” Scott Casey out of Bulverde, TX, took on tough PCW newcomer Redd Dogg from Lafayette, LA. The two men trade control early until they went down from a double clothesline out of the corner. Redd Dogg recovered first and delivered an STO and his trademark Blackout for big near falls. Casey made a comeback and scored a two count with a reverse neckbreaker. They ended up battling outside the ring where Redd Dogg ducked a punch from Casey and nailed him with a running clothesline. Casey was out of it as Redd Dogg alertly rolled back into the ring and scored a count out victory in his PCW debut.
3) Bob & Brad Armstrong defeated The Sheepherders: Exciting tag team action was featured next as “Bullet” Bob & Brad Armstrong took on The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) who were accompanied by their manager Sir Oliver Humperdink. The tag team division in PCW is very competitive and this match was evidence of that. “Bullet” Bob was dominant early and Brad followed the lead of his father nearly pinning Butch with a flying head scissors and leg cradle combination. The Sheepherders battled back and used the sneaky double team to gain an advantage. They also took the match outside but nearly lost it by count out when Brad outmaneuvered Butch and beat him back into the ring. It took another quick move by the father-and-son team to put the match away as Bob nailed Butch with a knee lift and trapped him in the Sleeper Hold. Brad then stomped on the fingers of Humperdink preventing outside interference before alertly hitting Luke with a dropkick. That left Butch trapped in the hold and he went under giving the Armstrong’s the victory via submission.
4) Eddie Gilbert defeated Sam Houston: Sam Houston out of Waco, TX, took on the wily “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert who was accompanied by his manager Jimmy Hart. Houston has picked up some notable wins of late which had to make Gilbert and Hart a little nervous going into the match. He almost pulled off another one as he caught Gilbert with the Bulldog moments into the match scoring a two count. A follow-up running lariat sent Gilbert out of the ring where he consulted with Hart. Gilbert mounted an offensive which saw him use the figure four leglock and shake up Houston with a piledriver. Houston staged a late rally before a counter by Gilbert led to the Hot Shot for a big near fall. Hart then distracted the referee as Gilbert tossed a Fireball into the face of Houston and rolled him up for the pin. Fortunately for Houston he was not seriously injured.
5) Jimmy Snuka defeated Cowboy Bob Orton: Revenge was on the mind of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka as he hit the ring to take on “Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton, bodyguard of Snuka’s rival “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Snuka recently returned from an injury inflicted on him by Piper and Orton and he took all that pent-up frustration out against the bodyguard. Snuka roughed him up from the opening bell and after a leap frog and chop he connected with the Superfly Leap on a stunned Orton to score the pin.
6) Mil Mascaras, Fred Blassie & Tony Atlas vs. John Tolos, Don Muraco & Ray Stevens was a Draw: All-Star trios action saw Mil Mascaras, Fred Blassie & Tony Atlas join forces to battle John Tolos, Don Muraco & Ray Stevens. Manager Sir Oliver Humperdink was at ringside representing his charges Muraco and Stevens for the all-important bout. The heel team dominated early getting the heat on Mascaras for a long stretch as the Mexico City crowd urged the legendary masked man to make a comeback. Mascaras dug down deep countering an attack by Stevens and made the tag. Blassie took out his frustration on all three opponents using choke holds, low blows and biting with his sharpened teeth. The heat when Blassie was in against Tolos was off the charts as the two rivals fought in and out of the ring. Mascaras nearly won it late when he trapped a weary Tolos in the Octopus Hold for a submission chance. Muraco tagged in and scored a two count on Mascaras with a vertical suplex with time running out. A decision could not be rendered following that and this intense bout ended in a draw.
7) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Kenny Omega© defeated Tom Prichard to retain the title: Championship action was featured next as Dr. Tom Prichard of Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. took on LOW Junior Heavyweight champion and Bullet Club member “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega for the title. Curiously Sherri Martel was not at ringside with Prichard as she was said to be attending to the suspended Playboy Buddy Rose back in Portland, OR. Her absence may have affected Prichard as Omega was on him from the start with no let up. The champion struck quickly with the V-Trigger, a running knee to the head, for a big near fall. He followed that up with a spectacular Tope Con Hilo and back inside cradled a stunned Prichard to score a snake eyes pin. It was a successful version two title defense for “The Cleaner” and a very impressive one at that.
8) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament – Qualifying Match: Pepper Gomez defeated Roddy Piper by DQ: The main event saw the popular Pepper Gomez receive a huge ovation from the home crowd as he took on the hated “Rowdy” Roddy Piper in the qualifying round of the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. Piper was accompanied by his bodyguard “Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton who refused to leave ringside under orders from the referee. Orton vehemently argued with the official until suddenly Jimmy Snuka hit the ring and nailed him with a chop. Orton bailed out and ran to the back as Piper begged off from an enraged Snuka. Gomez and the referee had to get in between Snuka who gave Piper an angry look before leaving out of respect to Gomez. Once the bell rang Piper took control with a blatant choke before tossing Gomez out of the ring. Gomez turned things around, however, by assaulting Piper on the floor and tossing him back in where he delivered the Mexican Leap. Piper was in trouble but caught a break after both men went down from a double clothesline in the corner. He recovered first and attacked the legs of Gomez before trapping him in the figure four leglock for a submission chance. Gomez refused to give up and began battling back which led to Piper blasting him with a Foreign Object. It looked to be over but Snuka returned and pointed out the weapon, a pair of brass knuckles, to the referee. Instead of counting a pin the referee disqualified Piper giving the win to Gomez. Piper went crazy as did the crowd as they celebrated the win for Gomez. Gomez will face Jushin Liger in the opening round at WrestleCade 11 weekend while Piper will no doubt look for revenge against Snuka.

Another excellent card! It seemed odd seeing Blassie team with Mascaras & Atlas but any chance for Freddie to get his hands on John Tolos makes for strange tag team matches. Gomez vs Liger should be a great match for WC11 and I can't wait for the upcoming Piper vs Snuka feud.

You know sometimes a draw can be cool and the draw between Mil Mascaras, Fred Blassie & Tony Atlas versus John Tolos, Don Muraco & Ray Stevens. I hope we will see a rematch, plus too bad Cowboy Bob Orton lost to Snuka...

Thanks for the comments gabe72 and Crimson. I agree that Fred Blassie as a face is strange but he indeed was a face in the L.A. territory back in the early 70's thanks to his feud with John Tolos. I am having a blast reliving that feud in my fed. I have plans to book them in a Steel Cage Match on the next PCW card. Snuka vs. Piper has been building for some time and I am hoping to keep the heat going for a match at WrestleCade 11 but that is a little ways off. I was actually hoping to see Piper qualify for the PWI Cup tournament but the DQ took him out.
Crimson, the six-man tag was really a great back and forth bout but too many tokens were amassed resulting in the draw. Not sure if a rematch will come from that but we'll see. Snuka vs. Orton was a really disappointing match as Snuka dominated but it was perhaps fitting since the "Superfly" is back trying for revenge from the injury angle. Next up will be the return of World of Sport featuring Johnny Saint vs. AJ Styles in a PWI Cup qualifying match plus David Taylor & Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Young Bucks so the Bullet Club will have a presence on another WOS show.

It might be a little disappointing that Hot Rod did not qualify for the PWI Invitational... But, if this sets up a meeting between him and Superfly at Wrestlecade 11, so much the better...
Very cool that Omega retained the Jr Heavyweight belt and I can't wait to see Styles get his chance to enter the PWI Invitational... With Adam Cole already making it into the prestigious event, things seem to be going Bullet Club's way...
Awesome stuff!

Thanks for the comments Pariah, if I can I will try to build to some kind of blow off match for Snuka and Piper at WrestleCade 11. Hopefully those darn dice cooperate As for AJ Styles the wait is over so read on and see what happened in World of Sport...LOW World of Sport - Odyssey Arena - Belfast, Ireland (Card #1076)
Seconds away, round one… 1) Jervis Cottonbelly defeated Archibald Peck by DQ (1-0):The “Worlds Sweetest Man” Jervis Cottonbelly took on perhaps the world’s most obnoxious man in Archibald Peck, who was accompanied by Veronica, in a match held under six three minute rounds. This one only made it to the end of the first round as Peck, upset over being worked over by Cottonbelly, nailed him with the Baton Smash in full view of the referee and was disqualified. Cottonbelly was in some pain but he got the victory via a one to nil score. 2) PJ Black defeated Bobby Shane by DQ (1-0):
“The Darewolf” PJ Black out of Cape Town, South Africa, took on the self-proclaimed “King of Wrestling” Bobby Shane of St. Louis, MO. This match was scheduled for six five minute rounds. After a competitive first round the arrogant Shane opened the second with a quick scoop slam and sneaky punches. Black made a nice comeback until Shane flattened him with a counter running lariat out of the corner. He then locked on the Japanese Sleeper and managed to get a tap out from Black to go up one to nil via submission. Shane, however, refused to release the hold and the referee reversed the call giving Black a disqualification victory in two rounds. Shane was furious and argued with the referee after the match until Black recovered and dropkicked the “King” out of the ring much to the delight of the crowd. 3) Exotic Adrian Street defeated Mike Graham (2-0):
Top ranked junior heavyweight star Mike Graham of Tampa, FL, faced three-time LOW Junior Heavyweight Champion Exotic Adrian Street, who was accompanied by his valet Miss Linda, in a match held under six five minute rounds. Graham got off to a good start in round one but an alert counter by Street led to him executing the Crucifix for the pin and a one to nil advantage. The battle intensified over the next few rounds with Graham looking to score the equalizing fall. His best chance came in the fourth round when he twice trapped Street in the Figure Four Leglock only to have Miss Linda interfere breaking up the hold. Street hung on and early in round five he caught Graham with a knee lift followed by the Crucifix to score the pin taking home a two to nil decision. 4) Nigel McGuinness defeated The French Angel (2-0):
The double tough and feared French Angel of Paris, France, took on Nigel McGuinness, an equally tough battler out of London, England. McGuinness demanded this match after being ousted by the Angel in a recent Battle Royal in what was his WOS debut. The match was scheduled for six five minute rounds of which The Angel dominated the first two-and-a-half. Things were not looking good for McGuinness until late in round four when he surprised The Angel with the Jawbreaker Lariat to score the pin. That gave McGuinness a one to nil lead and put The Angel on a quest to get that equalizing fall with two rounds remaining. The Angel fought hard in the fifth round and nearly pinned McGuinness after a fearsome headbutt. McGuinness hung on, though, and survived going into the sixth and final round. With only a brief time remaining it was McGuinness again striking with the Jawbreaker Lariat for the pin resulting in a two to nil victory for the British star. 5) Ring Angels title: Mildred Burke© vs. Nora Greenwald was a Draw (0-0):For the first time, World of Sport hosted a match for the Ring Angels title as champion Mildred Burke put the belt on the line against the woman she won it from, Nora Greenwald. That meant that it was two falls, two submissions or a knockout to decide the winner and the match was held under eight five minute rounds. Burke crushed it in the opening round dominating from bell to bell. That seemed to light a fire under Greenwald and over the next few rounds she was in control including hitting the Flipping Seated Senton for a near fall. With no falls scored as they entered the sixth round it looked to be one up for Burke when she locked on the Alligator Clutch but somehow Greenwald escaped from the hold. The seventh-round saw both women score near falls as Burke hit the Sunset Flip and Greenwald used a counter cradle hold off the ropes. Going into the eighth and final round with no falls scored made that round very intense but both women were successful on defense countering each other a few times until the bell sounded. After eight rounds, it ended in a nil to nil tie and Burke retained the title in her version three defense, a new record for the relatively new championship. The crowd gave both women a well-deserved standing ovation afterward and cheered as they shook hands in a show of mutual respect. 6) Tommy End defeated Finlay (2-1):
The dangerous Tommy End hailing from the Netherlands hit the ring to jeers from the crowd as he took on the “Belfast Bruiser” Finlay who received a warm reception from his hometown fans. This match was scheduled for six five minute rounds. End was arguing with ringsiders as the first round began prompting Finlay to nail him with a spear in the corner. That set the tone for what was a real war. Finlay took a one to nil lead in the second round when he pinned End after a Rolling Hills and Backbreaker combo. After an intense third round End scored the equalizing fall late into round four when he pinned Finlay with the Owari Death Foot Stomp. That set off the crowd some of whom tossed garbage into the ring protesting the fall. As the attendants cleared the ring of debris End returned the favor from earlier blindsiding Finlay. He quickly hit the Owari Death Foot Stomp to open the fifth round but Finlay kicked out to a big pop from the crowd. He was still down, however, and End hit a second consecutive Owari Death Foot Stomp to score the pin. End won it by a score of two to one after five rounds and the already fired up crowd wasn’t happy. There was a near riot situation underway prompting WOS officials and arena security to get involved and escort End back to the locker room. Finlay diffused the situation as he grabbed the mic and thanked the fans for their support and said that he will deliver an end to End somewhere down the line drawing cheers from the crowd. 7) Young Bucks defeated David Taylor & Zack Sabre Jr. (2-0):
The popular pairing of David Taylor & Zack Sabre Jr. took on arrogant Bullet Club members the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) of Kings Road United in a match scheduled for six five minute rounds. This bout came about due to an altercation on the last WOS card where Taylor and Sabre saved Bill Dundee from a potential attack by the Bucks and LOW Junior Heavyweight Champion “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega, the “Elite” members of the Bullet Club. Things looked great for Taylor and Sabre Jr. early in the first round as they repeatedly frustrated the Bucks. Things took a bad turn just before the first round ended, however, as Nick blasted Sabre Jr. with a superkick and then combined with Matt to deliver the Indytaker. The brief time in between rounds was not enough for Sabre Jr. to recover and the Bucks took full advantage of that by hitting the Meltzer Driver early in round two with Nick scoring the pin. Taylor was beside himself as he was unable to get a tag in the third round and the Bucks again hit the Meltzer Driver on Sabre Jr. to get the pin and a victory by a two to nil decision. The Bucks enjoyed a “two sweet” celebration as an angry Taylor glared at them while assisting Sabre Jr. out of the ring. 8) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament – Qualifying Match: AJ Styles defeated Johnny Saint (2-1):The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) remained at ringside as the popular Johnny Saint entered the ring to take on Bullet Club leader AJ Styles in a qualifying match for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. The Bucks tried to offer advice to Styles but he ignored them calling for security to escort them to the back. That wish was granted and the Bucks were dragged off kicking and screaming driving another wedge into the relationship between Styles and “The Elite” faction members of the Bullet Club. As per agreement with PWI and the LOW Board of Directors this match was held under the traditional WOS rules and was scheduled for eight five minute rounds. In the event of a draw an unlimited sudden death round would be held to decide a winner. The two exchanged holds and counters throughout the first round drawing respectful applause from the crowd. Saint caught an opening in round two and surprised Styles with The Russ Abbot, a counter rolling reverse cradle hold, to score the pin. That put him up by a score of one to nil and forced Styles into a corner. Styles turned things around in the third round and used the Calf Killer to punish Saint. Some tense exchanges followed into the fifth round where the reality of a possible one to nil loss had to be in the mind of Styles. It was late in that round where Styles hit Saint with the Rack Bomb and then scored the equalizer as he pinned Saint with the Styles Clash. The sixth round opened with Styles going in for the kill, as in the Calf Killer, and he trapped Saint in mid-ring. Saint tried in vain to escape the punishing hold but he was unable to and he tapped out giving Styles a two to one victory. Styles advances to the tournament during WrestleCade 11 weekend where he will face PCW star Dutch Savage in the opening round and joins fellow Bullet Club member Adam Cole who has already qualified to compete that night.

Thanks for the comments Crimson. It was pretty wild having the two DQ finishes to open the WOS show and the women's title match was amazing. I couldn't believe they went all eight rounds with no falls scored. That was easily one of my favorite title bouts I have ever had in my fed. As for Lucha Underground yes it is coming in my new fed year and will feature a FG only roster so no bootlegs. We have some LU guys in the game and then I will put together a roster around them which will be a fun project for me. Next up is some CWA action I hope you enjoy it...
LOW Capitol Wrestling Alliance - Boston Gardens - Boston, MA (Card #1077)
1) Scott Taylor defeated Johnny Rodz: CWA newcomer Scott Taylor from Westbrook, ME, received a nice ovation from the crowd as he took on the “Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz, a native of Brooklyn, NY, appearing courtesy of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Taylor had a tough debut match as the veteran Rodz dealt out some nice offense. Taylor rebounded in the end, though, as he delivered a superkick stunning Rodz and then came off the top rope with a Flying Bodypress to score the pin.
2) Sky Low Low defeated Little Beaver: The always popular mighty midget stars were in action as Little Beaver and Sky Low Low continued their long-standing rivalry. Beaver got off to a great start and hit the Boomerang two times but Sky kicked out of the pins. There was a funny ref bump as Beaver went for a dive off the middle rope but Sky ducked under the legs of the official. Sky took over during the down time including nailing Beaver with his trademark dropkick. Beaver mounted a comeback late but missed with a deathjump resulting in Sky executing a short-range Diving Press to score the pin. A frustrated Beaver chased after both Sky and the referee with his moccasin afterward.
3) Jerry Lynn defeated C.W. Anderson: Former LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Jerry Lynn took on “The Enforcer” C.W. Anderson in a hard-hitting match. Anderson impressed early using a sleeper hold to neutralize Lynn. A brief battle on the floor saw Lynn take over and deliver the Cradle Piledriver but Anderson kicked out just before the three count. Lynn had a look of amazement on his face but continued a strong offensive culminating in him hitting the TKO on Anderson for the pin.
4) Bruiser Brody defeated Lord Zoltan by DQ: A highly-anticipated battle saw Bruiser Brody go one-on-one with Army of Darkness member Lord Zoltan who was accompanied by Kevin Sullivan. Brody barked at Sullivan during the introductions as he brandished his chain. Sullivan, his face painted black and white, glared back at Brody clutching the railroad spike prompting the referee to get in between them. Once the action got underway it was all Brody as he manhandled the smaller Zoltan in and out of the ring. Brody scored a two count on a one-hand bodyslam and then delivered the Jumping Knee Drop. Before he could go for the pin, however, the lights in the arena went off and when they came back on Sullivan was standing in the ring. Sullivan then tossed a Fireball into the face of Brody resulting in Zoltan being disqualified. Sullivan and Zoltan quickly left the ring as Brody rolled around in pain until paramedics ran in to check on him. Brody refused treatment and grabbed his chain heading to the back as the crowd cheered. It was later learned that Brody suffered only minor burns and will not miss any ring time which could be unwelcome news for Sullivan and the Army of Darkness.
5) Rick Rude defeated Kip James: A rematch from the most recent MSG card saw Kip James take on “Ravishing” Rick Rude who was accompanied by his manager J.J. Dillon. James won that match in what many considered an upset and that led to Rude signing with Dillon. After an early offensive by Rude it was James striking back and hitting the Standing Leg Drop for a big near fall. Dillon looked on with some concern but Rude battled back against James. Rude delivered a piledriver and a top rope sledgehammer resulting in a two count. James regained control briefly stunning Rude with a powerslam, before being laid out with the Rude Awakening. Rude made the cover but James got his leg over the bottom rope to break up the pin. Rude than went right back to the Rude Awakening and this time James was finished as it resulted in a pin. Rude avenged his prior defeat and simultaneously showed that his new alliance with Dillon could be one to watch.
6) Road Warriors defeated Midnight Rockers: Two popular teams squared off as the Midnight Rockers (Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty) took on former LOW World tag team champions the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk, with Paul Ellering). The Road Warriors dominated early using their size and power to frustrate the Rockers. Lane took a good beating before tagging Jannetty who sent Hawk out of the ring with a dropkick. The Rockers began an offensive of their own after that until Jannetty was floored with a double clothesline. That led to the Road Warriors hitting the Doomsday Device but Lane broke up the pin dropping an elbow on Hawk. He then reversed the positions putting Jannetty on top and that resulted in a big near fall. Ellering complained to the referee about that but the official missed the actions of Lane. The Rockers did an excellent job after that battling against their more powerful opponents but an assault on the outside reversed the momentum. Animal took advantage and connected with a Powerslam on Jannetty for a big near fall. The Road Warriors followed up with a second dose of the Doomsday Device on Jannetty with Hawk covering him for the pin.
7) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: Blackjack Mulligan© defeated Sabu to retain the title: The rugged Texan Blackjack Mulligan put the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title on the line against a dangerous challenger in Sabu. The death defying aerial star was accompanied to the ring by his manager Abdullah Farouk. Sabu surprised Mulligan with a counter roll-up out of the corner moments into the match but the champion kicked out with authority. Mulligan took control after that battering Sabu with clubbing forearms shaking up the challenger. Sabu mounted a comeback but Mulligan cut that off and trapped him in the Claw Hold in center ring resulting in a snake eyes submission victory. Mulligan kept the hold on post-match drawing blood from Sabu until The Warlord, another charge of Farouk, ran in and pulled him off. Mulligan and The Warlord engaged in a stare down as Farouk attended to Sabu. LOW officials separated the two big men and it was later learned that Mulligan has agreed to put the title up against The Warlord on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Sabu, meanwhile, was diagnosed with a mild concussion and will miss a few weeks of ring time under orders from LOW.
8) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament – Qualifying Match: Giant Baba defeated Larry Zbyszko: The qualifying round in the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament continued as Kings Road United star Shohei “Giant” Baba took on the self-proclaimed “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko of the CWA. Baba did an excellent job of controlling the early part of the match including hitting a 16-Mon Kick (boot to the face) for a near fall. The tide turned when Zbyszko went to a deathjump attack and then planted Baba with the Piledriver for a big near fall. He followed up with a second Piledriver but Baba again kicked out of the pin drawing cheers from the crowd. Baba began battling back and caught Zbyszko with the Russian Legsweep and Baba Chop resulting in a pair of near falls. Zbyszko was in a bad way after that and a crushing Bearhug by Baba resulted in a submission victory for the KRU star. Baba has now qualified for the tournament and will face World of Sport star King Kong Bundy in the opening round during WrestleCade 11 weekend.
9) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament – Qualifying Match: The Mountie defeated Antonino Rocca: The popular Antonino Rocca of Golden Age Wrestling took on PCW star The Mountie in more qualifying round action for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament. The Mountie was without the services of Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. leader Sherri Martel, who is still in Portland, OR, with the suspended Playboy Buddy Rose, but he did have his controversial Shock Stick with him. This was a fantastic match with both men coming close to victory several times. Rocca frustrated The Mountie often with his aerial attacks and at one point nearly pinned him with the flying dropkicks. The Mountie later used a controversial Boston Crab hold, pushing his head against the middle turnbuckle for leverage, that nearly resulted in Rocca tapping out. Rocca struck back and lifted Rocca in the Argentinian Backbreaker but they were too close to the ropes and it was broken up. The finish was controversial as they fought on the outside where The Mountie, out of view of the referee, zapped Rocca with the Shock Stick. He then tossed Rocca back in and executed a Short Choke Slam to score the pin. The crowd jeered the decision as The Mountie qualified for the tournament and he will face Nick Bockwinkel in the opening round during WrestleCade 11 weekend.
10) LOW World tag team titles: Steve Williams & Terry Gordy© defeated Midnight Express to retain the titles: The main event saw the Miracle Violence Connection (Steve “Dr. Death” Williams & Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy) make their version one defense of the LOW World tag team titles against the Jim Cornette-led Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton). The Express are four-time holders of the titles and the vocal Cornette was vowing that number five would begin in the “no good” city of Boston. The Express then surround ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta prompting the MVC to come to his rescue and jump them before the bell. Williams blasted Condrey with a counter running lariat early and then hit the Oklahoma Stampede but Eaton made the save. The MVC were looking in fine form until Eaton used his speed and technique against the larger Gordy. He scored a big near fall on Gordy with the Divorce Court and then set up Condrey who hit the Face First Leg Sweep for a two count. Cornette was beaming at ringside as his men began turning the tables. Condrey then hit the Face First Leg Sweep on Williams resulting in another big near fall. Cornette complained about a slow count and nearly hard a heart attack as the MVC mounted a comeback. After a rough battle on the outside, where Gordy whipped Condrey back first into the ring post, he executed the Power Bomb to score the pin as Williams cut off a save attempt by Eaton. Cornette dropped to his knees in agony as the crowd cheered the successful title defense for the MVC.
