No, not really. Just because it's the official message board doesn't mean he runs the board. That's left in the hands of the mods. It just receives the Filsinger Games stamp of approval as the first place to come for discussion.
In the age of Facebook and Twitter, some folks feel that they should be granted all-access passes. But he's not obligated to say anything. It's his choice to come on here or not.

If you are going to put your name on something and have a direct link from your official gaming site, calling this the official Filsinger Discussion board...I think you are somewhat obligated to hear praise/concerns from the fans of your product. Not saying Tom is a mod or should be one, but when it's the official Filsinger board, this is where most fans of the game are meeting up to discuss their concerns/and to heap the accomplishments of the game. Not everyone is one Facebook/Twitter from this game. The majority are on this board though

That may be true, but I don't think anyone wants an all access pass here.If anything you get more of that on either of the two sites you mentioned.I just think Toms level of involvement on here( not just meaning this board but the old one and the guest book as well) was a lot higher at one time, and some people might be noticing this.

All I'm saying is, it is his board, and he shouldn't completely take himself away from it. He says a lot on facebook and twitter so why not here?

This has been a huge thread, so it's understandable if some missed it, but Tom did reply in this thread. Here it is again for anyone who may have missed it. Hey, on the eve of GalactiCon I just want to stop by and say hi and thank everyone for sharing their views on this topic. I honestly think this is a big step forward for CotG but I'd never argue with someone who has a different point of view. If they love the game they'll love the "new look" maybe in some cases with time. For others they'll love it the second they see it! I've never been so busy, my own fault. My enthusiasm for several projects is over the top. You guys will LOVE the COTG DM-Book coming soon. It's classic CotG with a super hero twist. You'll feel you're getting to know people like Star Warrior and Thantos better, but at at the same time they're kind of alternate universe versions of them. (if that makes any sense) You're the greatest and most passionate and intelligent game fans in the galaxy. I'll never settle into a rut, would be a terrible thing after 2+ decades. We'll move forward while still preserving the past. It's a fine line to be sure but hey, life is an adventure and we'll share it together! 2125 is coming! There are more story options to be creative than ever! He's also posted several times in the Battle for Cetus thread, and done a great job promoting all the new games. With a message board this big with this many members, his posts can easily get lost in the crowd, but they are there. That's the main benefit to FB and Twitter. They are personal pages so everything someone writes is much easier to follow there. I check them out in order to keep up with the times. It's simply more convenient than sifting through tons a threads looking for Tom's post among everyone else's.
