I got my set of LOTF 3 in the mail today.
I was pretty excited to open that envelope and for the first time see the actual cards for 3 (Davey Richards, Roderick Strong, and Jay Briscoe) of my signings!
I'm personally not a big fan of Austin Aries, but I'm going to bring him into my fed on a regular basis at some point. I like the 450 SPLASH mechanic.
Although it does sort of look like the card art for Jay Briscoe got cut off, I'm really excited to have cards for the Briscoes. I can't wait to see how they do against other tag teams in the game!
I'm probably going to start off teaming the American Wolves at first, but there is a great chance I might soon give Davey Richards a singles push in my fed. I particularly
really like how Knapik wrote Richards card because it will also work very well if you want to use Richards primarily as a singles competitor (he is the current PWG World Champion) because there is only 1 offensive tag move on his card and even for that there is a listed move substitute for that tag move if Richards is in a singles match. Great work Knapik!
I'll probably just have Gran Akuma and Icarus team with each other right now because I currently have Chuck Taylor teaming up with Savage-T.
But at some point I'll have them team with Taylor too. I already have an annual 6 man tag team tournament called Battle of the Sixes and I'll have to try and reunite Taylor with Gran Akuma and Icarus for the next Battle of the Sixes so they can be one of the entries.
Jigsaw is one of my personal favorite Chikara wrestlers so I'm really glad his card got released. In Phoenix on the night before Wrestlemania 26 last March, I actually got to meet Jigsaw in the bar at the Mercury Theater before a Dragon Gate show took place there which included a 4 star match straight out from LOTF of Jigsaw and Mike Quackenbush vs the Young Bucks. That is a match I'll have to replay soon with theri LOTF cards. Jigsaw also has the best agility of all the wrestlers in LOTF3.
MsChif. Although I personally really wanted Kenny King (hopefully his card will get released sooner rather than later) instead from that poll, I realize MsChif is a good addition to LOTF's women division. I like the mechanic that gives her the possibility of spewing her green mist in the face of her opponent.
Osirian Portal. I really have to check out some of their matches on You Tube. I like the Snake Charmer mechanic on Ophidian's card during tag matches.
Roderick Strong. Without a doubt one of my favorite cards in the set. I remember when me and Knapik were at that Ring of Honor show last March in Phoenix the afternoon before Wrestlemania 26 and he told me back then about this card mechanic he had in mind that could lead to Strong giving his opponent the STRONGHOLD. I can't remember if this mechanic on Strong's card is the same one Knapik told me about or not, but it's really cool and it can indeed lead to the STRONGHOLD. When the STRONGHOLD is applied, it's the strongest finisher in LOTF3.
I like the Ants and their trios moves. I would be interested in reading a short bio about them from Tournament Master if he posts one.
The referee, Bryce Remsburg, I'm also planning on using in my fed immediately. Remsburg in the past has also refereed for PWG (I'm currently working on watching PWG's 2007 Battle of Los Angeles in which Remsburg referees some of the matches and he also does some of the commentary too). In my fed I think I might have Remsburg play a similar role that PWG's senior referee Rick Knox plays for PWG.
Now I'm going to go play with my new LOTF 3 cards.
