I was just wondering how everyone used their secondary titles (ie IP, US National etc). Are they stepping stones to a shot at your World Titles. Is the secondary champion technically the number one contender to the World Title? Can everyone compete for your secondary title or do you restrict the title contenders/holders to mid card a low main event level talent? How do you determine which title a wrestler will go after? Is it based on rankings (ie the top 5 contenders go after the World Title and 6 to 10 go after the secondary title or does the top contender get his pick? Is it more to do with storyline or actual match results?

Although there have been exceptions during the 4 year history of my fed, I tend to not have the secondary champion challenge the main champion while he is still holding that secondary title. I let anyone compete for the secondary titles (just like the main titles) although my Cruiserwight Championship (which is more of a third level title instead of a secondary title) is restricted to wrestlers weighing less than 230lbs. I personally don't keep won loss records so challengers to my secondary titles are usually determined by storylines or the winners of #1 contenders matches. speaking of secondary titles, right now on my Smackdown brand Rikidozan is my United States Champion and he has had that title for an impressive 16 months of game time.

I don't like a lot of titles as I think it lowers the prestige of being a champion. I did once have a secondary title in my fed and restricted it to wrestlers with a pin rating of 6(3) or worse.
I generally have a rule where a wrestler is only granted a title shot if he beats the champion legitimately.

I have 4 feds, but just one World Title. My secondary titles give the other guys something to hold while trying for the World title.

Right now, I am only running one fed. My secondary title is the "EurAsian Championship". It is only defended on oversea tours. I also use a Cruiserweight Championship which is pretty much a secondary title in the United States.

My secondary belt is the United States Championship. It is either a stepping stone for a main eventer or the peak of achievement for a mid-carder.
I like a lot of titles though.

I do not have one as my roster's not really big enough to support it. Once more guys I plan to use are released, I'll add it in as the Intercontinental Championship.

My secondary title is known as the Heritage title, paying homage to to the US, Intercontinental, etc., it is used as a pincale achievement to the mid-card talent. I also used storyline/feuds to set up title shots, BUT and this is a big but, I do kinda pay attention to win/loss records so if someone is on tearhe will get a title shot, this has led to some new feuds so it works.

All I have in TCW are the Heavyweight belt and the Tag belts. If I had more time to play, I'd probably have a secondary belt of some kind but I think they devalue the big belt sometimes.

Generally my secondary title is used for up-and-comers or guys that's better days have passed, but they still need to be relevant. If you're in your prime, you generally don't worry about the secondary title. Since in LOW everyone is in their prime, I'd still go by the guidelines, they're not in the top 7 contenders to the World Title.
