My guess would be they don't film the entrances so they can use music like Mmmbop without having to pay for it. And your guess would be correct. PWG would have to actually license the song for it to be used on their DVD releases. (And who in their right mind would actually spend $ on Mmmbop?!) I'm assuming that's why some companies, like ROH, "create" their own entrance music. A perfect example of this would be the "Beavis & Butthead" DVDs, which don't include the music video segments, which of course, were the highlight of the show

Terrible song but I'm into the later more serious Hanson myself ;D Now I need to go listen to some Motley Crue to help shake that song out of my head Funny this post would be here this morning, Motley just played (with Poison ) Nassau Coliseum right here on beautiful (yeah, right) Long Island last night! If there are 10 great "heavy metal" albums of all time, "Too Fast For Love" & "Shout At The Devil" definitely make the cut In fact, "Too Fast" might be my favorite album of all-time. Defies categorization : a little metal, a little punk, a little glam & a lotta perfect! Good to see that in a world of Lady Gaga & Eminem, there are still some of "us" around! That being said, everything else Motley did, save for a few bright spots...ehhh...

It's really what made me a fan of the Crue and I am still one to this day hence my user name I hear you on the rest of the stuff but songs from later albums like Wildside, Dr. Feelgood, and Kickstart my Heart are awesome as well. They really have a nice catalog if you dig into it a little. Anyway, sorry to derail this topic so out of respect to Hanson lets get back to discussing Mmmbop

I like how you posted a video that includes all the lyrics then went ahead and typed up the lyrics as well, just in case. Well I didn't actually "type up" the lyrics. I just copied and pasted them. and I guess I posted the lyrics sort of out of habit as I also often copy and paste the lyrics for songs I post in the "Post an Awesome Song" threads on the GBITG.

From what I understand, Lucifer, jasonjaconetti, and Troy are correct. I heard PWG usually doesn't include the entrance music on its shows to avoid paying royalties which is why most PWG matches on DVD start out with the competitors in the ring getting announced by John Ian or whoever the ring announcer is for that night. But on the menu page for the first Kurt Russellreunion (Kurt Russellmania,) the entrance music is played for the Great Muta, Rob Van Dam, Jushin Liger, and Super Crazy. Speaking of the muisc played for RVD at PWG's first Kurt Russellreunion, as Cman and anyone else in attendance that night can tell you, that is actually one of the very few wrestling entrance music songs that is even worse than Mmmbop.

Not having to pay is probably the main reason companies don't put the music and entrances on dvds, but I think another reason is to save some space on the disk. Shows can run pretty long now days.

The band Hanson sucks IMO. They were just a teeny bopper band at one time.

Yes, RVD's entrance song is god awful, I would say just as bad as mmmbop. It was funny, that I never noticed until last night that they techniclly do pay for the music, it is just on itunes.

There's sync issues with music. If you're using a song on a DVD or in a movie you have to pay royalties to the songwriter.

Chikara has had many popular music songs on their DVDs for a while. So I think it may be more of a distribution thing that would cause royalties to be paid. They have changed many of their songs recently to original pieces in anticipation of a TV deal. I like seeing entrances personally...adds to the match to me.
