I really like your Galactic Code title idea... how's it working out? (or is it new...) It's new....well, it was when I last played my GWF fed. Maybe I'll post a few of the older cards....but in a nutshell, there was the Specials Match/Hardcore Title....which Endgame won, then vacated and proposed that it be changed to the Code Title. Wolf had an issue with that, being sentimental about the Hardcore Title, prompting a match between him and Endgame at the last PPV, with the winner determining which title would carry on. In the meantime, Kill Prey won the vacated title and said he was "so good" that he'd be willing to go with either format. Endgame beat Wolf.....the Galactic Code Title is in place.

GWF Special Report ------------------------
Problem: GWF ratings have dropped in the past year. While it remains the #1 sport in the galaxy, the numbers are the lowest in 10 years. Primary competitor POW has seen its rating rise dramatically, within striking distance.
Problem: Increased violence in-ring and surrounding the federation has turned off many fans and brought about negative press about the prestigious organization. Examples include: last year's infamous "Glass Wall" episode between Swarm and Payback at Sirius Stadium; Nosfera's repeated menacing of fans; the recent career-ending injury of Reckless, brought about by Tricks; the still-undetermined MIA status of Epoch with fingers pointing at members of Master Race and/or Outlaw Nation.
Problem: The GWX developmental league has failed to catch on, costing the GWF undisclosed revenue
Solution: The GWF Executive Committee has fired longtime commissioner Massif
Solution: The GWF has named newcomer Iron Hand as the commissioner
Iron Hand is rolling out a slew of major changes to the federation
For starters: -- Formation of the Martial Law team, which will include Monolith, Divided We Fall and Mother Superior -- To demonstrate Iron Hand's vow of shaking up the GWF and his authority therein, Monolith has been named the new Universal Champion -- Divided We Fall have been named the new Universal Tag Team Champions -- Mother Superior has been named the new Women's Champion -- To balance the prestige of the top two regular-program flagships, Iron Hand is splitting up the announcing team of Raury Rigel and Gritty Marco. The tandem, who has been together for 20+ years as the premiere announcing crew, will split between GWF Presents and GWF Turbo. Gritty Marco will partner with new play-by-play man Star Warrior to head up Presents; Raury Rigel will partner with Vanity for GWF Turbo and PPVs. -- The GWX developmental league has been indefinitely shut down. The GWF will retain the rights of a select few participants, including GWX Champ Morbid. Further information to come. -- Iron Hand has vocally pointed out that he has a "mole" on each team in the GWF. The only confirmed mole is Vidtek, who today was quite matter-of-fact about that assignment.
More changes, updates, and moves will be forthcoming.

GWF Special Report ------------------------
Iron Hand has also made the following championship rulings:
-- The Interstellar Championship is vacated -- The Galactic Code Championship, proposed by Endgame and enacted as a replacement for the Hardcore Championship last year, is no more
Decisions as to how the I-S Title will be captured are forthcoming.

The Alpha Centauri Sports Report ------------------------ Krell Mutaru here, with this week's installment of the Alpha Centauri Sports Report. We go right into the heart of a growing storm -- the Galaxian Wrestling Federation. Our guest tonight is longtime GWF color commentator Gritty Marco.
Mutaru: Mr. Marco, you started in 2087 as the top color guy in the GWF, paired with Raury Rigel. Other than a brief year-long stint as an independent wrestling report two years ago, you and Rigel formed the premiere announcing team from 2087 until now. Until new commissioner Iron Hand separated you....
Marco: Yeah, that's pretty much it. 20+ years anchoring the announcing staff, and all it takes is one new guy on a power trip to destroy that.
Mutaru: You've been pretty vocal about this. You feel as if the GWF has reneged on a promise they made when you returned last year?
Marco: I've been a team player since day one. When they wanted me to do that independent analyst gig, I did it. When they asked me to return to announcing, I said I'd only come back if I'd be re-teamed with Raury. Now, a year later, the new guy breaks that up.
Mutaru: The initial reaction to Iron Hand has been pretty negative, and not just this announcing decision....
Marco: No kidding. You'll never make friends when you come in and make stupid moves. One, separating Rigel and me isn't going to improve ratings. We've never been the problem. Two, handpicking your champions? C'mon. Monolith is great. DWF are great. But is there any wrestler in the galaxy who should have a title handed to them? The answer is 'no'. Titles should change hands IN the ring.
Mutaru: Massif was undeniably faltering in his commissioner responsibilities, though.
Marco: I don't disagree. Massif was a great wrestler....and while he rubbed some people the wrong way, his heart was in the right place. But times changed and he didn't. He let the GWF get a bit out of control. When you have guys throwing each other through glass walls, when you have 'demons' attacking fans....and most recently what happened to Reckless.....the GWF was in trouble. I think he needed to go. But not to some unknown who thinks this 'martial law' thing is a good idea.
Mutaru: Insiders have felt that you not-so-secretly have been a fan of Endgame's way of thinking. Is that true?
Marco: Above all else I try to be open-minded. I call the matches regardless of who's in the ring. But yeah, Endgame has his finger on the pulse of what the GWF ought to be, more than anybody else. I'm not his friend or anything -- I just think he's made sense.
Mutaru: Getting back to the Rigel-Marco breakup....how does Raury feel about this?
Marco: He's the consummate professional. As far as his personal feelings? He is my friend and I wouldn't dare to speak for him. Set up an interview with him if you want that. Me? I think this decision stinks. And I think Iron Hand stinks.
Mutaru: He's already made it clear he's not tolerant of dissent. You risk your career by speaking out like this.
Marco: My opinions and feelings obviously didn't matter to him -- or the GWF Executive Committee who appointed him and is letting him run things. Like I said, I came back to team with Rigel. And now that's changed. I have nothing against Star Warrior -- I think it's a good move to get him in on the announcing crew. But it has been and should always be Rigel-Marco. If Iron Hand had any respect for the GWF or a clue what he was doing, he'd have seen that.
Mutaru: Wow. Bold words. So what next?
Marco: I don't know. I've poured my heart into the GWF and this industry for 20+ years. Maybe times are changing. I'm going to think about things. Deimos Perennial is coming this weekend and it'll be Raury Rigel and Vanity calling the matches. If that's what Iron Hand wants....I just don't know...
Mutaru: Thanks for you time. Next up, we go to Gravity Ball where the.......

Commissioner's Report -- Debut Press Conference
Iron Hand: I'm going to make this quick. As part of my efforts to clean up the GWF and restore its glory, I will be holding Commissioner's Report press conferences to provide updates about decisions and fed direction. Some days, I will allow reporter questions. Today is not one of those days.
Iron Hand: First and foremost....it is all over the news now how Disaster, Paralyze and Rage broke into my offices demanding an explanation for my efforts to recruit Strafe as a watcher of their team.
Iron Hand: It doesn't matter to me if they or anyone else fail to understand my efforts to clean up this federation. Strafe could have been a part of that cleanup, and rewarded in the process. Instead, she chose to be a knuckle-headed troglodyte like the rest of the Aethran ilk. Bad choice.
Iron Hand: What was a worse choice than that was Disaster and his goons breaking into my place of business thinking that their typically abrasive, "we're in charge" Aethran bravado would get them their way. Far from it.
Iron Hand: The Gladiators are hereby suspended for 30 days without pay. Don't like it, Disaster? Then I give you an offer I'm sure you'll accept. "Fight the Power". Deimos Perennial -- you take me on and if you win, the suspension is cut to 10 days. If I win, see you guys in a month.
-- The reporting crew murmured their shock amongst each other. Some tried to ask questions, shouting over each other.
Iron Hand: Enough! No questions -- if you'd listen! One more small issue. Gritty Marco, much like the Aethrans, expects me to explain myself. I need not. I broke up the top announcing team for very good reasons, and that's that. But if you're going to insist going on bottom-feeding sports show spouting off about me, let's just say that's unwise.
Iron Hand: Gritty Marco is suspended 30 days. Longer for every time he opens his yap about me and my rulings. Again, in the spirit of...heh...open-mindedness, if you don't like my suspension, you too are free to challenge me to a "Fight the Power" match. Haha -- that would be fun. This conference is over.

GWF Deimos Perennial Deimos Stadium Announcers: Raury Rigel & Vanity
-- Valour was shown backstage, getting into it with Sly Drury. -- Drury: You're an idiot if you think you're better off without us. -- Valour: That's where you're wrong. I was an idiot to think teaming up with you slimeball cheaters was a good idea. Cost me Lorelei, and cost me success getting weighted down by trash like American Guy and The Betrayer. Now this new nutcase, Patch? Forget it. I'm out. -- Drury: I don't think so. Guys!
-- The Betrayer and Patch came out of the shadows, the former sneering like a madman while the latter scowled. They closed in on Valour, until Kill Prey and Wolf emerged and stood beside the proud warrior!
-- Drury: Easy fellows. Looks like Valour's got himself some new friends. Interesting choices. This isn't over, swordboy. This isn't over.
TitanEnergy -vs- Circus Strongmen -- There was literally energy in the air at the debut of the new Titan. Nitro looked fantastic, nearly putting Tanck down in minutes. However, he tagged in Tristan and this one got away from the Titans. Gryt, looking better than ever, and Tanck pummeled the masked man. Huge win for Strutter's boys. Winners: Circus Strongmen by THE BIG FINISH
U.S. Male -vs- Patch -- The disgusting newcomer swaggered down the aisle, occasionally leering up close at fans and showing off his disfigured eye socket. He did a good job getting serious fan heat in his debut. -- This was an outstanding match, one of the best of the night. Patch overcame a flurry of offensive attacks and made his first victory an impressive one. Winner: Patch by Street Smarts
Backstage: -- Kill Prey was being interviewed by Vyper backstage. -- Prey: ....Iron Hand has his team, and we have ours. That's what The Resistance is about. Tonight, Valour and I have a little message for The Troubleshooters. Why them? Because the once-great tag-team gets their titles snatched from them, and they take it. You want to be Martial Law's lackeys? Then we'll come after you two.
The Stand -vs- The Troubleshooters -- The crowd went crazy for the new pairing of Kill Prey and Valour! And they made their debut a good one by embarrassing the former champs in a lopsided match. The 'Shooters were furious afterwards, with Muss practically throwing a tantrum. It's been a rough week for the veteran duo. Winners: The Stand by VIOLENT OUTBURST
Swarm -vs- Tricks -- This was the match of the night. After his brief sabbatical, Swarm came back looking sharp....new outfit and all. As for Tricks, the diabolical clown had a new look as well....it didn't seem possible, but he looked ever crazier and more menacing than before. -- This turned out to be the match of the night. Swarm had the upper hand for quite awhile, but then Tricks unleashed some sort of mist from his carnation! Swarm got blasted by it and was never the same. He kept trying to come back, but the damage was done. Tricks with a HUGE win! Winner: Tricks by Death by Hanging
The Betrayer -vs- Tauran -- Reports have been coming out that Tauran has been concerned about his aging process. If that's the case, he didn't show it. He was focused and very much on his game, taking it to the bizarre masked Outlaw. Winner: Tauran by TAURAN VICTORY LOCK
Endgame -vs- Vidtek -- Here was an unexpected thing -- the Deimos crowd was very split on their reaction to Endgame! He looked slightly unnerved at first, but quickly got back into his "zone". -- Vidtek, on the other hand, as an emerging "suck-up" to Iron Hand, got a consistently negative reaction. Word has it that Iron Hand sent him specifically after Endgame tonight, and Vidtek certainly seemed to have a swagger to him. -- Endgame went right after him. Vidtek weathered the attack for awhile, but was no match for silver legend. Winner: Endgame by ROLLING FIGURE FOUR
-- Endgame stopped by Vanity and Rigel's table. -- Endgame: Is that the best you have to throw at me, Iron Hand? It's going to take more to stop me and my crusade. Monolith -- uneasy sits the crown of the king, especially when he didn't earn it. Your bogus reign is going to be very short-lived.
Sly Drury -vs- Wolf -- The new frontman for The Resistance got a huge pop as he charged into action. -- Drury quietly continues to show how good he's become -- he dominated the legend in a short one. Winner: Sly Drury by CRIME LORD
Fight the Power Match Gladiators' suspension reduced from 30 to 10 days with Disaster win Iron Hand -vs- Disaster -- The Gladiator leader went right at the commissioner! No one knew what to expect from Iron Hand as an actual wrestler. -- They got their answer! Iron Hand withstood the Gladiator's barrage and took over dominantly. The crowd was stunned to see not only Disaster get bested by a newcomer, but a newcomer who is the commissioner. Shocking. Winner: Iron Hand by "I RUN THIS FED"
-- After the match, the commissioner grabbed a microphone and repeated an earlier line, "See you guys in a month." -- He started heading out, but first muttered, " Ha. That was one of the feared Aethrans? Not impressed."
Non-Title Match Monolith (c) -vs- Havoc -- Havoc was positively fuming, having lost his title to Monolith without a match. This was a chance for him to get some redemption, even if it was non-title. -- Monolith was his usual no-nonsense, calmly arrogant self. He waited for Havoc to come down and when the match started, these two went all out against each other. -- Havoc took control first, but it didn't last long. Monolith took over and never looked back. In typical Monolith fashion, he bulldozed the former champ. Winner: Monolith by THE END OF ALL THINGS
-- After the match, Iron Hand strolled out again. -- Iron Hand: That's settled then. I think we see where the title belongs. Havoc -- hit the showers and forget about the title for awhile. -- Monolith: I hardly broke a sweat. Good thing I don't get paid by the minute. -- Iron Hand (chuckling): Martial Law is the top of this federation. Monolith is going to be your champion for a long, long time. But who is going to be his first victim when it comes to title shots? This is what's going to happen.... -- He paused and casually looked around at the sea of booing fans. -- Iron Hand: I will hand-select 5 wrestlers, and yes, they will be who I consider the greatest contenders. They were be randomly put in an order, and each of them will take me on in Fight the Power matches. The first wrestler to beat me will get the title shot. If they all fail, we'll pick 5 more. -- The crowd hated this idea and booed more. Iron Hand shrugged. -- Iron Hand: This isn't going to be how all title matches are determined. I just want to see for myself how worthy the top dogs in the GWF really are. I doubt I'll be impressed, but maybe somebody will rise to the occasion. Good night, fans!
