NICK BOCKWINKEL, the former WWA World Heavyweight Champion, came through the curtain to big round of applause.
BOCKWINKEL: Thank you. Thank you. It’s good to be back in Chicago! First off I just want to thank Vincent O’Shaughnessy and the people at Main Event Sports for bringing me here to RING OF GLORY. When I heard this was happening and I got a look at the roster, and who was coming in I knew this was the place I needed to be. Some other companies may say they’re the best, and I think you all know who I mean, but only one is the best. And even though this (RING OF GLORY) has only been going on for a few months there is no doubt in my mind that RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling will soon be the #1 wrestling show in television. And that’s why I’m here. You see guys like me only want to be associated with the best. Now that I’m here there’s no stopping the revolution. Business has just picked up. But before I get started about what I’m going to do there’s something I need to get off my chest. You see a few months ago I walked away from the World Wrestling Alliance, not because I wanted to, but because I was forced to. This sport is in my blood. And when I was told by Dick Hutton, you all know who he is right, the guy running things there, when he told me that I would not get a rematch against Johnny Valentine for my World Heavyweight Championship, a belt I wore for 20 months, I knew my time was just about up. You see ol’ John didn’t want to give me a rematch. Now here we are a few months later and I’m here in, rubbing shoulders with the future of this great sport, a sport I love and where’s Johnny Valentine? The so called “Legendary” is jobbing to Hulk Hogan. You see Johnny Valentine, the only reason you have the nickname “Legendary” is because of people like me, who paved the way for you. And what do I get for my troubles? “You’re done. You’re time is over. The fans don’t want you to be their champion.” Well, a new day has begun and here at DAWN OF THE LEGENDS the future of Legendary Wrestling has arrived. Now the WWA is consolidating and that’s fine. I am not the first to arrive here at RING OF GLORY and I can assure all of you watching at home, I will not be the last. Hold on tight a change is coming, a war is brewing. Already I can hear the war drums. World Wrestling Alliance, it’s time to put up or shut up. Once again I want to thank all of you, and all the guys in the back, it is indeed an honor for me to be a part of RING OF GLORY…
In the main event “The Total Package” LEX LUGER defeated DAVID VON ERICH by submission with the Human Torture Rack to win the tournament to crown the first RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion…
Winner of the match and the first RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion… “The Total Package” LEX LUGER!
That’s it for DAWN OF THE LEGENDS. I’ll be back in a couple days with results from the December 3rd episode of RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling.
Until then...

In the opening match “The Runaway Train” ERICK STEVENS defeated AL SNOW by pinfall following a Doctor Bomb...
The team of JUSTIN CREDIBLE & THE SANDMAN (EXTREME CITY WARFARE) defeated THE DREAM TEAM when CREDIBLE pinned BRUTUS BEEFCAKE following a “That’s Incredible.” After the match GREG “the Hammer” VALENTINE walked out on his tag team partner…
This week’s edition of RING OF GLORY Confidential was all about the new (and first) RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion, “The Total Package” LEX LUGER. And with that we go to an interview conducted moments after LUGER won the title…
SCOOPS: Greetings fans and welcome to “RING OF GLORY Confidential” for Saturday, December 3rd. I’m your host Scoops Callahan and I am with the new and first RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion “The Total Package” Lex Luger. Champ, let me be the first to congratulate you on winning the championship.
LUGER: Thank you. David Von Erich, you gave me the fight of my life and I wouldn’t have expected anything less than from a Von Erich. David, you should know that even though you didn’t win the championship tonight, you did earn my respect. And anytime you want to take another shot at this belt it would be my honor to put the RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Championship on the line against you.
SCOOPS: As the RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion what are your thoughts on the arrival here of Nick Bockwinkel?
LUGER: Nick Bockwinkel is one of the greatest wrestlers, if not the greatest, wrestler in Legendary Wrestling. I have nothing but respect for me. And like with Von Erich, it would be an honor to defend the belt against someone of his caliber. His coming to RING OF GLORY can only be a boon to the company and a boon to the sport. Having said all that; there is a pecking order here and it starts right here with the RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion. Nick Bockwinkel you are at the top of the class, but “The Total Package” LEX LUGER is in a class all by himself.
SCOOPS: Thank you and congratulations, once again, to the new RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion. I’m Scoops Callahan and this has been "RING OF GLORY Confidential." We’ll see you next week right here on "RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling"…
Back to the action, “Superfly” JIMMY SNUKA defeated DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE by pinfall following a Superfly Leap…
In the main event RIKIDOZAN defeated TITO SANTANA by pinfall following Thunderous Chops. After the match SCOOPS CALLAHAN tried to get an interview with RIKIDOZAN concerning his after match attack with the timekeeper's bell on the new RING OF GLORY Television Champion STING at DAWN OF THE LEGENDS…
SCOOPS: After his remarkable performance at DAWN OF THE LEGENDS, why did you attack Sting?
RIKIDOZAN looked at CALLAHAN, smiled and said
RIKIDOZAN: Ding-Ding.
He then gave CALLAHAN a slap across the top of the chest and walked away.
That’s it for the December 3rd episode of RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling. I’ll be back early next week with results from the December 10th episode featuring the in ring debut of NICK BOCKWINKEL!
Until then…

Things are really looking good in the MES and it's Cool seeing Lex Luger as the RoG Champion and I like that he's standing tall with his comments. I really like the tandem of Rocca/DiPaolo and them holding the RoG Tag Straps is even better. Overall the action is on fire and it'll be interesting to see how the next few events unfold...

MAIN EVENT SPORTS presents RING OF GLORY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING (1.16) Saturday, December 10, 2011 – Chicago, IL – UIC Pavilion
THE ENFORCERS (BOB ORTON, SR. & DON LEO JONATHAN) were dominant in their RING OF GLORY in-ring debut over the team of RICKY LANDELL & “The Anarchist” ARIK CANNON. The end came when JONATHAN pinned CANNON following a Mormon Swing…
THE CRUSHER defeated ½ of the National Tag Team Champions “The Russian Bear” IVAN KOLOFF by pinfall following a Crusher Bolo…
This week’s edition of RING OF GLORY Confidential focused on some new arrivals to RING OF GLORY… BOB ORTON, SR & DON LEO JONATHAN a tag team tandem known as THE ENFORCERS…
ORTON: Everybody wants to know why we attacked the Von Erichs and the Briscoes back at DAWN OF THE LEGENDS, and the answer’s simple…
JONATHAN: To get noticed. To make an impact.
ORTON: You see the WWA chose to ignore us. They brought us in and hung us out to dry…
JONATHAN: But we won’t be ignored. A lot of people point to the tag team roster over in the “W.” But you see, we can beat any of them.
ORTON: We’re better than all of them. The British Bulldogs; the Dudleyz; the Midnight Express, the Men of Mystery. Even the Road Warriors…
JONATHAN: That’s right we said it. We’re better than the Road Warriors.
ORTON: They ain’t nothin but a couple make-up wearing clowns in black tights, and plastic spikes. They’re a joke.
JONATHAN: You see we didn’t come to MAIN EVENT SPORTS to be the opening match; we’ve come to be the RING OF GLORY Tag Team Champions…
ORTON: And we won’t stop until those straps are around our waists. You can count on that.
It was announced on RING OF GLORY Confidential that yet another team had been signed from the World Wrestling Alliance. Next week we’ll tell you who that is. A clue: During their tenure in the WWA this team held two titles simultaneously…
THE BRISCOES outwrestled and defeated the team of JUSTIN CREDIBLE & THE SANDMAN (EXTREME CITY WARFARE) by pinfall when JAY pinned SANDMAN following a Doomsday Device…
In the last match of the night the longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion in Legendary Wrestling History NICK BOCKWINKEL defeated MR.X by submission with the Bockwinkel Sleeper. After the match, "RING OF GLORY’S Man on the Scene" SCOOPS CALLAHAN caught up with “the Sensational White Phantom.”
SCOOPS: Mr. Bockwinkel, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling.
BOCKWINKEL: Thank you. It’s a pleasure to be here. In a place that respects what I’ve done in this sport.
SCOOPS: I’m sorry, Mr. Bockwinkel, I can’t stop smiling. I’m just a big fan of yours. I use to watch you all the time when I was a kid. As a young kid growing up I looked up to you.
BOCKWINKEL: What a minute, son, how old do you think I am?
SCOOPS: I really don’t know but wow; you were my boyhood idol. You’re an old school favorite of mine.
BOCKWINKEL: Let’s get something straight right here right now; the last thing I am is old school. Son, I get more tail in a week than you’ve had your whole life. And if you think I’m going stand up here and let you call me “old.” Then, boy, we got a problem. Now, I’m going to go back to my dressing room and when you’ve decided to treat me with the respect I deserve; we’ll see about finishing this interview…
And with that NICK BOCKWINKEL walked out of the ring and RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling went off the air.
That’s it for the December 10th episode of RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling. I’ll be back in a couple days with results from the December 17th episode featuring the RING OF GLORY Champion “The Total Package” LEX LUGER in action, a return match for the National Tag Team Championships with THE KOLOFFS defending the titles against THE CRUSHER & DICK THE BRUISER plus an update on the RING OF GLORY Television Champion… STING

MAIN EVENT SPORTS Presents RING OF GLORY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING (1.17) Saturday, December 17, 2011 – Chicago, IL –UIC Pavilion
In the opening match the National Heavyweight Champion, “The Million Dollar Man” TED DIBIASE defeated DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE with the Million Dollar Dream in a non-title match…
The team of RIKIDOZAN, THE MAGNIFICENT MURACO & MR. FUJI defeated THE VON ERICHS when RIKIDOZAN pinned DAVID after MR. FUJI threw salt in VON ERICH’S eyes allowing RIKIDOZAN to nail him with Thunderous Chops…
This week’s RING OF GLORY Confidential focused on the ROG Television Champion STING:
SCOOPS: Hello fans and welcome to RING OF GLORY Confidential. I’m your host Scoops Callahan. Dig: A couple weeks ago RING OF GLORY hosted DAWN OF THE LEGENDS and at this event we witnessed one man conquer seven others to become the first ROG Television Champion. That man was Sting. Let’s take a look back at DAWN OF THE LEGENDS and the 8-Man Open Challenge for the RING OF GLORY Televison Championship…
The segment features video of STING’S big win over seven other men to capture the ROG Television Championship at DAWN OF THE LEGENDS and then RIKIDOZAN’S attack with the timekeeper’s bell after the fact.
STING: When I watch that video I’m reminded of how great it felt to beat seven other guys to become the first ever ROG American Champion; and then to have that all taken away in a blink of an eye. Rikidozan, you ruined my moment at DAWN OF THE LEGENDS. But that’s okay because it’s the nature of the business. But you know what else is? Revenge. And next week right here on RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling I’ll have my revenge Rikidozan. And I’ll prove to you exactly why I am the RING OF GLORY Television Champion.
SCOOPS: Last week right here on RING OF GLORY Confidential I announced that a new tag team was on their way into MAIN EVENT SPORTS. I told you that this team held two championships simultaneously while in the World Wrestling Alliance. That team is… BARRY WINDHAM & MIKE ROTUNDO and they will be making their RING OF GLORY debut on January 7th.
That’s right WINDHAM & ROTUNDO are on their way to RING OF GLORY. That brings the total number of WWA defectors to five. Are there more on the way?
There’s only one way to find out. Join us each and every week for RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling.
Until next week I’m Scoops Callahan and you’ve been watching RING OF GLORY Confidential on RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling.
Let’s go back to the ring…
In the next match the RING OF GLORY Heavyweight Champion “The Total Package” LEX LUGER defeated THE DESTROYER in a non-title match by submission with the Human Torture Rack…
In the main event a match for the National Tag Team Championship, the champions IVAN & NIKITA KOLOFF and the team of THE CRUSHER & DICK THE BRUISER battled to a double disqualification…
That’s it for the December 17th episode of RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling. I’ll be back next week with results from the Christmas Eve episode featuring the ROG Television Championship match between STING and RIKIDOZAN and the RING OF GLORY Tag Team Champions ANTONINO ROCCA & ILIO DIPAOLO in action.
Until then…

This is a great fed Tony! I'm really enjoying reading the MES. I couldn't believe how dominant Sting was in that 8 man match. I'm interested to see how the fued with he and Rikidozan turns out. I'm also enjoying what your doing with Lex Luger. I hope he holds onto the title for a long time. Nick Bockwinkel is great as well. I'll be reading from now on for sure.

As I've said I like that tandem of Antonino Rocca & Ilio DiPaolo as your RoG Tag Champs and it'll be interesting to see how long they'll remain the Champs. I liked the Enforcers over the Briscoes and the Huge victory for Rikidozan over Sting for the Americas Belt via help from Mr.Fuji is great stuff...

RING OF GLORY Confidential with SCOOPS CALLAHAN SCOOPS: “Welcome fans to RING OF GLORY Confidential I’m your host Scoops Callahan. Last week right here on the broadcast we announced the first RING OF GLORY pay-per-view, SUPERCLASH, coming up on Sunday March 4th. There’s still no word yet on any of the matches for this historic card. However, it has been announced that on the February 11th episode of RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling you will be introduced to the new Vice President of Wrestling Operations for Main Event Sports. What will be the first order of business for the new VP? To name a #1 Contender to the RING OF GLORY Championship for SUPERCLASH. Fans no word yet on who the new VP will be but as soon as I hear anything you know I’ll pass it onto you. Let’s go now to same taped comments from earlier today with RING OF GLORY Legends talking about why they should be named the #1 Contender.”
DAVID VON ERICH: “Woo, SuperClash. It’s gonna be the biggest card in RING OF GLORY history and I can’t wait. Now, the question is should I be named the #1 Contender? I think that goes without saying. I mean I defied the odds and got to the finals of the Championship Tournament. Luger, I hope you’re ready for the rematch; because it’s gonna happen at SuperClash!
RAY STEVENS: You know looking back through the history of this great sport. Guys like me; the tough sons of bitches that night in and night out bust their asses to make guys like the “The Total Package” Lex Luger look good. But when I’m named the #1 Contender and I get my match at SuperClash it’s not gonna be about making Luger look good; it’s gonna be about me becoming the RING OF GLORY Champion. Luger I hope you’re ready for the fight of your life.
GREG VALENTINE: Lex Luger, everyone calls you “The Total Package.” But you look to me like a total tool. With your pretty blonde hair and oiled up body. Yeah, you’ve got the looks to get to the dance, but when you throw that all away you’ve got nothing. And when you step into the ring with Greg “the Hammer” Valentine all the weight lifting and protein shakes aren’t going to get you anywhere. You see guys like you are shallow. You don’t have the heart. You’re a paper champion and when I lock on my Figure Four I’m gonna prove it to the world.
JIMMY SNUKA: SuperClash, March 4th, the question on everybody’s mind, brudda, is whose gonna get the championship match. Well look no further. I’m gonna go into SuperClash ready for anything. Lex Luger, the question is will you be ready for the “Superfly?”
SCOOPS: “Fans, that’s it for this week’s episode of RING OF GLORY Confidential. I’ll be back next week with an inside look at RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling. For now, fans, let’s get back to the action…”
Special Challenge Match NICK BOCKWINKEL vs. DAVID VON ERICH Nick Bockwinkel won this hard-fought match, one with possible title implications, via submission with the Bockwinkel Sleeper. Winner of the match… NICK BOCKWINKEL!
After the match the RING OF GLORY Man on the Scene, SCOOPS CALLAHAN came down to the ring to talk to BOCKWINKEL…
SCOOPS: “A couple of weeks ago I came down to the ring to congratulate you on your victory. And in my enthusiasm and respect for you and your abilities, I might have misspoken; said some things that I didn’t mean, things that I’d like to take this time to apologize for. So on behalf of myself I would just like to apologize to you, Mr. Bockwinkel, for saying or doing anything that might have insulted when it comes to your relatively, obviously, young age. And if my words hurt you, or made you feel disrespected in any way I whole-heartedly apologize. And finally, Main Event Sports and RING OF GLORY Championship Wrestling owes you a debt of gratitude for your agreeing to work here.”
BOCKWINKEL: “You’re right you owe me a debt of gratitude. Do you think if I hadn’t come over RING OF GLORY would have gotten teams like The Enforcers and Windham and Rotundo? No they wouldn’t. I couldn’t have done it alone. It helps that on the other end, the WWA end, a stubborn ass like Napoleon King is running things. You see Napoleon King has no foresight, no vision. We’re talking about a man so wrapped in what use to be that he can’t see what could be. I watched that ‘wrestling show’ on Monday; a lot of talk. I came here to compete and then you come out here and call me old…”
SCOOPS: “I apologized for that.”
BOCKWINKEL: “So you did. Don’t ever interrupt me again. The fact of the matter is this; since coming to RING OF GLORY I’ve been nothing but disrespected. I’m been taken advantage of at every turn. It’s gotten so bad that I’ve had to take it upon myself to do something about it. I need someone to watch my back; someone who has my best interests at heart. So in two weeks I’m going to bring the first manager to RING OF GLORY. I’m going to bring someone in to manage my affairs. Someone who will help me put together a group of men. A wrestling family with two goals; earning the respect we so rightfully deserve and winning all the championship gold. And when we’re through there’s not going to be anything left for the wanna-be’s, the has-beens and the never-gonna-be’s that are so pervasive here in RING OF GLORY. Thank you Callahan. The pleasure was all yours.”
