AAAHAHAHAH! How great is this? Punk ass headbutts the shit out of money, and money says "Oh you want to fight dirty, here bitch - this is how you fight dirty. BLAM!" Then afterward tells that washed up door-knob Larry Merchant to go take a walk. I'm not a big boxing fan but I am a Mayweather fan. Great show.

I thought it was a good fight. Ortiz is a legit top tier contender and came in with at least 15 pounds on his side, but Floyd was winning on all cards up to the point of controversy. Those headbutts were blatant and cost a point (arguably it could have been an automatic DQ). Ortiz has only himself to blame for losing his train of thought with the excessive apologies. Boxing 101: protect yourself at all times! If there's a rematch, the numbers across the board should do even be bigger business.

I think there will definitely be a rematch and I'll try to watch it. Money said right after the fight that Ortiz can have a rematch if he wants. Hey at least it's something to get excited about in boxing since my boy Tyson retired.

You wanna play with headbutts, then take your medicine and deal with it. I personally think Ortiz flopped and tried to sucker the ref into DQing Mayweather.

The Mayweather/Merchant incident came up at the UFC 135 press conference. Dana White said he would have fired Merchant if he pulled that type of stunt with one of his fighters in a post fight interview. The purpose of the PFI is purely business (ie. sell the crowd on having delivered something special for their money and put over the fighters for future events). For the fighter, the PFI is a chance to put the organization over, rep sponsorship support, thank the fans and have their moment. At no point should the interviewers go into business for themselves with self righteous rants and pointed questions like a fighter is on trial. You would never see Joe Rogan disrespect a fighter like that. UFC 135 Press ConferenceDana White: "It's my big beef with Merchant for years. These guys get done fighting and he jumps in the ring and just starts saying off-the-wall, weird, rude [expletive] to these guys. Who the hell would want to do an interview with him? It's probably the thing they dread worse than training and cutting weight and everything, is their interview with Larry Merchant. It's ridiculous. I actually thought that that was very embarrassing for HBO. The guy is senile, he's out of his mind. He's up there berating Floyd, but Floyd can't say anything back to you? You've been disrespecting guys your whole career, and guess what, you can go back 60 years, you're not kicking Floyd's ass, okay? Give me a break. And what's Floyd going to do? A 102-year-old guy just said that to him."
