A plea for the return of the Early Classics

Hello everyone,

I am a returning player as I last played the game some time right before the first legends set was released. I am teaching my son to play the game after he asked me about the cards he saw in a shoebox in the closet.
I wanted to start in 2074 and get a real back history leading into the breaking of the code. My problem is after reading both the review of early classics thread and the mapping of the golden era thread on this site I feel the Early Classics set is unofficially official and has become ingrained in the collective history of those early years.
Unfortunately it is out of print and unavailable to all returning players like myself and all new players like my son. I do not know the logistics of why it is out of print but if I had one wish upon returning to this game I have such fond memories of it would be the return of this integral alternative universe set. So I will click my heels, make my wish and put off 2074 for awhile. 2087 and New Beginning here we come.

It's been asked for multiple times from multiple people. Apparently with the new gametable and such it's just not considered a priority. It seems like if there's a demand for something you'd want to supply it, but that's not the case here.

I have all the EC stuff and actually will be selling most of my cards and such for CotG. Ever since the release of Online, I've only used the cards for conventions and my office is becoming too cluttered. The only thing I don't have are the original books from 2074, 2079, 2084, and 2086. At some point I lost those, but I have the EC book and all the sets/cards. LMK if you're interested and we'll figure something out.

I could see Tom totally re-doing the Early Classics set at some point. New art, new stats, kinda revamp everything. Maybe even take some guys like Sin and Salvation, the Estorians and Torin Calum and give them new cards as part of the set. The first one was technically considering Alt. Universe so it would be cool to one day maybe see an official version.

I'd be the same as the rest in this thread in that I'd love to see the old version come back or even as Swarm wrote seeing a revamp.
