Halloween lends it's self to themed GWF cards better than any holiday. It's not even close, really. I run one every year, and I'll bet I'm not the only one. I just got done with this year's event and it was pretty great. I'll share mine and if anyone else has any thoughts, or wants to share a link or results I'd like to read what you've got. GHOULS' NIGHT OUT One night a year, the veil between realms is thin and the most vile, vicious, and demented creatures to ever storm the ring are restored to their brutal best and transported to the Halloween Arena to do combat one more time. Here disqualification is a dirty word and out of the ring isn't optional, it's mandatory. There are no mats outside of the ring, only cold earth and one side of the arena is full of tombstones, not fans. The referee's only job is to count the pin and the fans are satisfied with nothing less than a bloodbath.Mutant and The Creeper defeated Korsus The Crawling Beast and Turge. Mutant and The Creeper are the sentimental favorites every time they enter Halloween arena, but they drew no easy task this year. The unorthodox Korsus was hard to handle and Turge was just dirty enough to keep himself in the match. Finally things broke in the legendary duo's favor and The Creeper used THE ELIMINATOR on Turge as Mutant slammed a steel chair over Korsus' head to keep him from breaking up the pin.Darkseed beat Cyclopes. Darkseed is immense, but looked almost small in comparison to the "One Eyed Monster". The two traded chops back and forth for much of the match until Cyclopes grabbed Darkseed by the throat and slung him over the top rope. A brawl ensued and Darkseed managed to get the better of the exchange. Cyclopes rolled back into the ring and Darkseed used BELLY OF THE BEAST to put him away.Draconian Sheik beat Gheist. Gheist is quick and hard to get ahold of, but once Sheik pulled out the famous foreign object he gave the fans a pumpkin carving lesson on the ghostly one's head that will not be forgotten. Sheik ended it with a SADISTIC HAMMERLOCK while grinding the weapon into the arm of Gheist.Noxious and Rotwurm defeated Death's Head and Erebus. Death's Head and Erebus attacked with weapons before the bell and the zombie duo had little defense. Finally their undead resilience to punishment wore down the veterans of the GWF rings and Death's Head found himself on the receiving end of a horrendous mauling by the combined efforts of both members of Murdok's undead legion. The end came horrifically with the FLESH FEAST and the pin. Mr. Bloat pinned Petarra. The freak show of the night was the battle of the blimps. Mr. Bloat is so violent he needs to be brought to the ring in shackles, even in Halloween Arena. Petarra hung in there, but Bloat used his triple blade action to shave a little too close for Petarra's comfort and get the bloody victory.Anarchy pinned Nightmare. Nightmare was impossible to catch for the entire bout.....until the end. He used strikes and kicks and spears and seemed ready to cruise to a lop-sided victory until one mistake. Anarchy grounded him and used the flying gutbuster to keep him down long enough to go digging through the graveyard portion of the arena. There he pulled a tombstone out of the ground, brought it into the ring, and used his finisher on it to put a macabre stamp on the win.Blazing Skull defeated Splatter and Nosfera in a falls count anywhere triple threat match. Splatter controlled the early part of the match, then Nosfera took his turn. Blazing Skull was kept cold for most of the match. Splatter took it outside of the ring and Skull made his move. He took out Splatter, then brutalized Nosfera before locking in the BURNING TOUCH. Splatter broke it up and sent Skull crashing into the steel steps on the arena floor. He then absolutely wore out Nosfera with Aresenal and looked like he was going to get the pin when Blazing Skull came rushing back with a shining wizard from the steps to break up the pin. Splatter rolled back into the ring where Blazing Skull unleashed a DEATH BY FIRE that fried Splatter and left him vulnerable for the pin.

The stage is set for the 2011 Halloween supercard. Said stage is at COTGonline, where they've been kind enough to offer the Halloween LE cards for sale for "a limited time only"*, which means Rott and Ruined and Scarewolf can get in on the action this year in addition to all of the ghastly ghouls of the ring I already had planned on using. Can Blazing Skull defend his Halloween championship this year? He'll be stepping into the Nightmare Matrix to face the dream slasher known as Nightmare. And who doesn't want to see a zombie mayhem match? Well, you may not be able to see it (unless you're online when I'm rolling out the match) but you can read the write up if you want. Right here. In this thread. Coming soon. * COTGonline digital editions.

Good stuff. The only downside is not havingthe GWFZ ghouls to add to the mix.

Ghouls Night Out 2 from Halloween Havoc Arena
Pumpkin's Head vs. Mutant Pumpkin's Head defeated Mutant with a flying chair to the skull Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: These guys did the only thing they know how; they brawled. It was short, but intense as the action quickly went to the arena floor. Pumpkins Head introduced a chair into the festivities and slammed it down on Mutant's head. Back in the ring, he took said chair to the top rope and waited for Mutant to get to his feet. When he did, Pumpkins Head delivered a flying chair shot for the win (what, did you expect a "perfect cross bodyblock"?).
Tricks vs. Mad Jester Tricks defeated Mad Jester with a Coulrophobia Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: A brutal, very fast-paced match ensued from the opening bell. Both men were bleeding by the time it was done. Mad Jester used plenty of running boots to the head and "Mad Dash" clotheslines to wear down Tricks, but all it took was one well-timed Coulrophobia shot to end the cackling and sinister laughter that punctuated much of this match and score the victory for the wicked clown.
Scarewolf vs. Nosfera Scarewolf defeated Nosfera with a Disembowlment Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: This "match" took place mostly on the arena floor. Nosfera did not back down at all, but he didn't seem to have the silver bullet necessary for the win (should've consulted Shepard).
- Wake The Dead - Witchdoctor made his way to the macabre entrance stage and began chanting. The chanting led to convulsing accompanied by an eerie glow of the eyes. Suddenly a gnarled claw rose from the ground in front of Witchdoctor. "Rise!" Witchdoctor commanded, "Rise and join me in battle, eternal warrior!" Out from the earth came the hideous form of ZOMBIE DREADNAUGHT.
- Zombie Mayhem Match - Zombie Dreadnaught and Witchdoctor vs. Decaying Factor Ruined defeated Zombie Dreadnaught with a Mortal Agony Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: The rules for the first stage of "zombie mayhem" are essentially a lucha libre tag team rules with no disqualification. It was a long, drawn out affair that ended up with Ruined burying Zombie Dreadnaught with Mortal Agony as Witchdoctor and Rott fought on the arena floor.
To "celebrate" the victory Rott and Ruined attacked each other and the bout continued. There can be only ONE winner of Zombie Mayhem!
- Zombie Mayhem - Rott vs. Ruined Ruined defeated Rott with a Mortal Agony Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The conclusion to zombie mayhem saw Ruined continue to dominate by pinning his "partner" to complete the sweep.
- Painmaster's challenge - Painmaster entered the ring and called for his "playground" to be lowered around the ring. Down came the Torture Chamber structure and Painmaster issued a challenge for anyone brave enough to come "experience the delights of discipline" with him. Snakes came from seemingly nowhere and began to wrap themselves around the chamber bars. The serpents heralded the arrival of VYPER, who entered the structure and got the battle underway.
- Torture Chamber Match - PainMaster vs. Vyper Vyper defeated PainMaster with a Scorpion Deathlock Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Painmaster started strong, then got beat up. He seemed to be enjoying himself, though. Vyper really worked over the shoulder, running Painmaster shoulder first into the chamber walls several times and using multiple shoulder breakers to nearly dislocated the joint in question. Finally, he opted for a different route to victory by locking in the Scorpion to make Painmaster submit.
- Coffin Match - HelSin vs. Coven Black Coven Black defeated HelSin with a slamming the coffin lid Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: HelSin was determined to put an end to his adversary in the Halloween Havoc Arena and would have done so if not for an appearance by his former lover turned member of the undead, Mistress Of Darkness. She attacked HelSin as he was about to shut the lid on Black. SCORCH entered the fray at that point and fought Mistress out of the building as the match raged on. They fought all over the ringside area and exchanged big moves, including a great Coven Black springboard moonsault off of the wrought iron fence that served as a ringside guardrail and a HelSin piledriver onto the coffin. In the end Coven Black managed to deposit HelSin into the coffin to get the win.
Black seemed poised to put the final nail in the coffin literally as he grabbed a mallet and a large steel spike and prepared to hammer it down into the center of the lid, which would surely impale HelSin inside. SHEPARD made a surprise appearance as he blasted his way to ringside through the fiendish fanbase in attendance to chase away the evil would-be perpetrator before the heinous act could be completed.
- Falls Count Anywhere - Splatter vs. Draconian Sheik Splatter defeated Draconian Sheik with a Meet Arsenal Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: This wasn't pretty, but I suppose no one thought they'd see an "instant mat classic" (and they'd have rioted if they did). The match ended when Splatter grabbed Arsenal and blasted Sheik in the head on the floor. Splatter went for the pin, but Sheik somehow kicked out. Undeterred, Splatter lined up and teed off on Sheik's head with Arsenal once again. Not even the Draconian Sheik could kick out of that.
- Nightmare Matrix Match - Blazing Skull vs. Nightmare LE Blazing Skull defeated Nightmare LE with a Burning Touch Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: The dream stalker was in his element as the Nightmare Matrix enveloped the ring with darkness. However, Blazing Skull showed that he was the one with no fear as he could not be distracted by the mind manipulations of the structure and its master, Nightmare. It was Nightmare who aptly became distracted by flashing, blinding light coming from all directions and walked right into the Burning Touch to cap off Ghouls Night Out with a Blazing Skull win for the second year in a row.
Overall Card Rating: 3.33

A Wicked event from start to finish Mark and some really cool victories from Vyper over PainMaster and I like how PM called for the Playground to Coven Black beating HelSin, but Shepard with the surprise appearance was a nice touch. Too bad Mad Jester lost to Tricks and the same for Nightmare versus Blazing Skull, but BS held on and won out in the end...
