This card I did as a way to bring lucha to the GWF, and to inject some life into my cruiserweight division.
Halcon Oro was already an established legend in Mexico when he entered the GWF in 2106. His son was only three at the time.
As is the tradition in Mexican wrestling, the son took up the mantle of his father and donned a mask and dubbed himself: Halcon Oro Jr
Halcon Oro is still an active wrestler, but he may have seen his final days in the POW. His son, meanwhile, has just begun his career and is already seen as one of the most exciting high fliers in any company
He is agile and fast and a giant risk taker. While his father was often seen as brash and cocky, Oro Jr. is more of a true fan favorite, playing to the crowd before unleashing his arsenal of aerial maneuvers.
Caida De Muerte (literally 'death dive') is a twisting front leg drop from the top rope.
Emulating his father, Jr also uses Ave De Rapina: top rope huracanrana into a roll-up
Devil Made Me: a springboard spinning back heel kick to the back of the opponent's head
Showing good 'ring smarts,' Halcon Oro Jr uses a finisher that is equally effective on both cruisers and heavyweights.
LIGHTENING SPIRAL: a Spinning headscissors takedown into a single arm DDT and from that into a Fujiwara armbar (ala La Mistica)
Also note, Halcon Oro Jr does not do the traditional death jump. To display his risk taking nature, he uses SUICIDE DIVE instead.
I hope you like the card and maybe the CW division in the GWF can begin to return to the glory days of guys like Enigma, and Prodigy.
