Another Big Loser: Anyone who likes watching football. These rules are getting pathetic. For the second or third time this season, a DB slams into a WR, jarring the ball loose and causing an incompletion only to be flagged for hitting a defenseless receiver. They keep this up and the NFL will become nothing more than a more advanced version of Arena Football.

I think of Tebow being "different" in today's NFL does have to do with all the media, maybe I didn't express that clearly enough. All coverage he had in college, seeing video of him on his mission trips, then him being highlighted in a Super Bowl commercial, coupled with his highly scrutinized QB skills definitely got a lot of attention on him.
But the media didn't do this stuff just because he wins, they threw a bunch of coverage on him when the Lions beat the crap out of him, and in his last game at Florida when UM beat his ass. He's kind of like Cena, some people love him, a lot think he sucks.
He is a QB, too, which is a big part of it. If he was a LB, he wouldn't be as big of a deal. I think another part of it is that it's not just that he talks so much about his religious beliefs, but that he puts his money where his mouth is and does do work in poverty stricken countries so you gotta respect that.

No matter what the Media says and the Fans, Tim Tebow needs to impress the Broncos front office and I love how Vice President of Operations John Elway replied to the question "Is Tebow the future QB of the Broncos?" and Elway said No and that Tebow needs to improve on Completions and their 3rd Down conversions. In the end it's too early either way if Tebow will be that upper level QB or just a Bust...

There's a shelf life to Tebow ultimately. There's going to be a point where some team figures out how to contain him and make him throw. When that happens, he's screwed because everyone will do that.
Vince Young was effective until teams figured him out. Then he didn't have the talent to adjust.

The Broncos have put all their eggs in the Tebow basket. Kyle Orton was released today.

The Broncos have put all their eggs in the Tebow basket. Kyle Orton was released today. They kind of already did that by starting him to begin with. What will be interesting is if the Bears try to resign him giving Cutlers injury. They have said that they will sign a veteran, even though they have confidence in Hanie.

What a tough way for Hanie to end today's game, PS.

What a tough way for Hanie to end today's game, PS. -JRN Yeah. When you only give the ball to your playmaker on 12 rushes, that outcome is to be expected. Same result comes from Baltimore and Ray Rice. Give Forte the ball and they win games. Only so much the D can do. I didn't see the game, SD/Den was on in this market...but if Hanie is throwing the ball 36 times, either Martz needs to dial it back or something.
