I have a few notes before you guys read this. I sort of ran out of ideas for the next Blast so I'm shuffling things around a bit. The PPV will air after this show. Which is why there were so many hasty challenges made. I hate booking this way but I really want to move onto the next phase of EPW. So it's a necessary evil. I just wanted to get this out instead of going right to the PPV.
1. Annivar defeated Magnum T.A. with the Equuleus Spinebuster at 4:21
Recap: Annivar came into this match with a lot to prove. He really hasn't lived up to his potential in his short time wrestling for EPW. Magnum was able to gain the early momentum with dropkicks and other fast moves. He sent Annivar to the floor and dove out with a crossbody. Annivar recovered though and won a short but violent brawl on the floor. He threw Magnum into the ringpost before dumping him into the ring. Annivar hit two Equuleus Spinebusters for the easy win.
Post Match: As Annivar was leaving the ring, the lights in the arena went out. When they came back on, Patch was standing behind Annivar with a baseball bat! He swung the pipe cracking Annivar in the skull! Annivar turned around and got another shot to the face! A third shot to the ribs sent Annivar to the mat. Patch grabbed a microphone and told Annivar it was his lucky day. He was going to be Patches next victem. Patch challenged Annivar to a street fight at the PPV. He threw down the microphone and left the ring. With blood running down his face, Annivar got to his feet. He picked up the microphone and told Patch he made a major mistake. The Annivar of old was finally awake. Patch is in for a world of torment at the PPV.
Friendly Rivalry:
Backstage, Mantis and Ensor were talking in the locker room. Ensor pointed out that Mantis has a dismal record in EPW. While he has been riding high ever since his debut. Mantis responded that Ensor didn't look so hot losing to Tiger Mask. Ensor laughed and said Tiger Mask is a legend for a reason. He gave TM everything he had but came up short. Mantis told Ensor he could easily beat him. Ensor smiled and said he accepted the challenge.
3. The Trouble Shooters defeated Great Muta and Masahiro Chono when Muss pinned Muta after Trouble Times Two at 9:25
Recap: This was a good back and forth match. The momentum shifted back and forth with neither team having the advantage for long. They hit Trouble Times Two on Muta but Chono made the save. The fight spilled to the floor where Muss and Bomb really started to take control. They took out Chono and focused on Muta. They used great teamwork to isolate Muta and not let him make the tag to Chono. They hit Trouble Times Two a second time and got the win.
4. Ensor defeated Mantis with Eruption of Tharsis at 9:30
Recap: Both men shook hands as the bell rang. It was an even battle in the beginning with both men executing some great offense. Mantis caught Ensor in the Rapturial Grasp on two seperate occasions but Ensor would not go down. Mantis began to get frustrated and shocked the fans by throwing Ensor to the floor. He hit a nice tope before smashing Ensor's head into the steel! The fans were stunned at this violent display and watch in confusion as Mantis laid in several kicks to Ensor's head. He covered but Ensor kicked out. Mantis continued to be frustrated and missed a deathjump when Ensor got his boot up. Ensor was able to battle back and hit the Eruption of Tharsis for the win.
Post Match: Mantis was furious and kicked the matt in anger. Ensor, showing true sportsmanship and friendship, Approached Mantis and offered his hand. After several tense seconds, Mantis clasped his hand. Ensor took a microphone and said he did not have any ill will towards Mantis. Everyone gets wrapped up in the competition. He said he looks forward to their next battle.
4. RVD and Eddie Gilbert defeated Rikidozan and Shinya Hashimoto when RVD pinned Rikidozan with the Five Star Frog Splash at 9:30
Recap: This was a tale of two different contests. Hashimoto was on fire whenever he was in the ring. He took it to both RVD and Gilbert with stiff kicks and suplexes. He even hit the DDT on RVD twice with Gilbert making the save. Whenever Rikidozan was in however, he seemed a bit off. RVD had his number during their exchanges and never left the TV Champion get anything going. Gilbert blinded Hashimoto with a fireball allowing RVD to nail the Five Star on Rikidozan and pick up the win.
Post Match: RVD grabbed the TV Title and raised it high as the fans booed. He then tossed the belt on the prone form of Rikidozan before turning and leaving the ring.
As Gilbert was about to follow, Monolith's music began to play. The fans jumped to their feet in elation as the former EPW World Champion walked to the ring. Gilbert tried to leave but Monolith blocked his path. He said the EPPA had stolen his title and nearly ended his career. He wanted his belt back but he was a patient man. He would wait for AOM and Andre to duke it out before staking his claim to a rematch. He had more urgent business to attend to. He motioned to Gilbert and smirked before nailing him with a big right hand! He lifted Gilbert up and power bombed him on the guardrail! Monolith said his first order of business was to dismantle the EPPA piece by piece. He looked down at a still twitching Gilbert and told him he was lucky number one! At the PPV, he would finish what he started and End Eddie Gilbert's EPW career!
Strangler Arrives:
The red circle appeared in the center of the ring and the fans began to buz. Appearing in the ring was Evan "Strangler" Lewis! He said he was a true professional wrestler. The old style was the best and he would prove that in EPW. He dared anyone to try and defeat a legend of his callibur. George Hackenschmidt appeared on the screen. He called Lewis a wannabee and a fool. He said Lewis was all talk and no action. He would gladly bearhug him into oblivion live on Pay Per View!. Lewis told Hack not to be over confident. He was an expert bear hunter after all.
Demanding a Title Shot:
The next match was supposed to be Stars and Stripes taking on Titan Power. The gladiators though had different ideas. They jumped Tristan and Nitro on the ramp and laid them out with stereo pile drivers! Havoc said they were tired of being passed over. It was time they took the title shot that was their right. Guy and Male ran out and a big brawl broke out. Security rushed to ringside and finally restored order as both teams threw insults at each other.
6. Epoch defeated S.D. Jones with a Pavo Power Bomb at 2:25
Recap: Jones boldly marched up to Epoch and punched him square in the jaw. Epoch grinned and motioned for Jones to try it again. Jones wound up and fired another shot... That Epoch blocked! Epoch squeezed Jones's hand causing the smaller man to fall to his knees. Epoch nearly decapitated him with a big boot and hit the Pavo Power Bomb! He arogantly laid one foot across Jones's chest and picked up the win.
Post Match: Epoch demanded better competition. He said he was the most violent man in EPW and this is what they gave him? A worthliss curtain jerker who never did anything of note in wrestling. Destroyer came down to the ring causing the fans to explode. He said Epoch was a bully and a brute. He said Epoch didn't know the first thing about being a true wrestler. He had no skills and couldn't win without the match being a bloodbath with no rules. Epoch said Destroyer was no challenge for him. He has dominated everyone in EPW. Destroyer will be no different. Destroyer said he would face Epoch in a "Wrestling" match at the PPV. Epoch smirked and told Destroyer to bring all he had. His inteligence wouldn't be enough to save him.
6. The Gladiators defeated The EPPA by DQ at 5:00
Recap: AOM lead Havoc and Paralyze against Harley Race, Jimmy Snuka and Andre in a chaotic battle. All six men brawled inside and outside the ring. Andre and AOM had some power based exchanges that the fans really ate up. Snuka was beaten down by Havoc and Paralyze for a few moments before he stunned Havoc with a headbutt and tagged in Race. Race schooled the next tag challengers with some great technical wrestling. That all ended when AOM was tagged in. He tossed Race around like a doll before nailing him with his finisher. Snuka broke up the pin but was hit by a Paralyzer! AOM hit the move against and went for the pin... Only for Andre to clothesline him!
