Welcome to my new fed. Its based on the old Jim Cornette SMW fed but has no ties to it and will not use wrestlers from that fed or era. I will use LOW official cards only. I will begin the fed with some of the lower rated wrestlers and build up as time goes by. Try to give it that regional feel instead of a big promotion. Here's the initial roster.
Jim Cornette-President of SML Boogie Woogie Man Brutus the Barber Beefcake Brian Kendrick Jumping Jim Brunzell Hillbilly Luke Special Delivery Jones Soul Train Jones Koko B Ware Chris Candido with Tammy Lynn Sytch Playboy Buddy Rose Doctor of Desire Tom Prichard Necro the Butcher Boris Zhukov with Nikita Breznikov Ragin Cajun Lash Lareux Sweet n Sour Larry Sweeney Dastardly Danny Doring
First card to follow soon

Volunteer Slam V: Resurrection 05.22.1996 from Knoxville, TN
Jim Cornette is in the ring and has a message for everyone: "Ladies and Gnetlemen, Boy and Girls, Welcome to Smoky Mountain Legends wrestling. I know some people ae wondering why attempt to bring back Smoky Mountain Wrestling, well we aren't. This is a whole new ball game. A fresh start of sorts. You see the wrestling world is hungry for real wrestling. Not the gimmick wrestling you see on Mondays or the unorganized confusion you see on Thursdays. NO! They want real old school wrestling where real winners are decided in the ring, not backstage. Not by who sells more t-shirts or DVDs. Not because of who your married to or how many titles you held 10 years ago and thats what Smoky Mountain Legends is all about. These WRESTLERS may not be the biggest, fastest, strongest, prettiest, or most popular guys in the world but I'll be damned if they don't come out here and give 110% every night. That's why I created the Cornette Invitational Tournament. To find who's the toughest man in this squared circle. The tournament begins tonight. The winner of this 16 man tournament will be crowned the SML Heavyweight Champion. So you see this isn't a old thing trying to come back. It's a new thing bringing back some old traditions that are needed and should have not gone away in the first place. Get ready for some wrestling not a weekly soap opera. I'm sure you'll all enjoy the show and will be in wrestling heaven for the next few hours. Hell Momma approves of it. Good night and enjoy the program."

Jumping Jim Brunzell vs. Ragin' Cajun Lash Leroux Jim Brunzell defeated Lash Leroux with a Roll Up Leroux goes hard into the turnbuckle and Brunzell uses his speed to maneuver out the way and get a quick roll up for the win
S.D. Jones vs. Doctor of Desire Tom Prichard Tom Prichard defeated S.D. Jones with a Foreign Object Prichard goes into his bags of tricks, his trunks, and nails Jones with brass knuckles. The referee did not see it and Prichard scores the dirty win.
Brian Kendrick vs. Sweet n Sour Larry Sweeney Brian Kendrick defeated Larry Sweeney with a Sliced Bread Great match between two young stars of the future but Kendricks innovative moves proved to be the difference

Sytch realizing this distraction gave her man a advantage took full advantage of it and kept doing things to distract the country boy. This proved to be his downfall.
Boogie Woogie Man vs. Dastardly Danny Doring Boogie Woogie Man defeated Danny Doring with a Sleeper Boogie Woogie Man boogied his way to a win and the next round of the tournament against the Dastardly One. The crowd loved the action in this on as BWM kept it lively.

I'm liking your Smoky Mountain Legends fed so far and I'm looking forward to see who comes out on top as your First ever Champions. I liked that Boris Zhukov won over Koko, but then he loses to Necro Butcher ends a possible good run for the Russian. I like the tandem of Doring & Sweeney and are they not part of your Title Tournament? Overall I like the Roster your using to start your SML and it'll be Fun following along with each New event...

Liking the Smoky Mountain theme. I'm doing a Memphis style fed (at least in spirit) with one of my feds, so cool to see another similar idea out there along with Corey's USWA.

Too bad Doring & Sweeney lost to Lane & Prichard, but it's really cool seeing Zhukov & Kurrgan advancing and I'm pulling for them to win the Gold. A decent win for Leroux over Koko and Rose losing his cool costed him the match, but seeing Hot Stuff win is a good thing...
