Massive comic collector here. Been seriously collecting almost forty years now. I probably have 200+ long boxes at this point. Honestly I have no idea. Stopped keeping track. I’m all over the map with what I’m into but mostly Marvel and DC. Last few years I’ve focused on Silver Age Marvel but have started dipping into SA DC lately. Comics are my thing right there above wrestling.

I really like their Sambal chili sauce and I haven’t seen it in well over a year. I was in the Asian market the other day and they had 1 gallon jugs of it! More than I could ever use before it went bad.
I guess there was some lost chili pepper crops in Mexico that lead to the shortage. Hopefully this year they can recover.

Well that reveal was as anti-climatic and predictable as it gets.

To be honest, I’m surprised the wrestling media bit on this story considering how many times MLW has cried wolf in the past. Many outlets called them out for this practice. The irony of a wrestling promotion keeping kayfabe and being criticized for it.
As for Hammer, I’m sure having freedom from a contract will really open up his options on the indy scene. In the past he has expressed liking the lighter schedule than if he went to WWE. I wonder if he’s changed his thoughts on that. Or he could go the AEW route. (As if they need to sign yet another talent that will be under utilized.). TNA maybe? It was probably time for him to move on one way or the other and I’ll be interested to see where he lands.

Now that’s a faction!
For once, MLW working the wrestling media was successful. A couple of days before the show it dawned on me that MLW does this kind of thing. At that point I realized it was an obvious work. Well done though. Everyone bought it.

Pop-Up Pre-Show #7: St. Louis Anarchy Spaulding Hall
Alton, IL November 19, 2022Commentary: Joe Dombrowski
Ring Announcer: Joe Dombrowski
Referee: Jake Clemons
All matches contested under Level 1 Rules (strict).
Joe: “Hello, once again, and welcome to another PWIS pop-up. We are back with our friends at St. Louis Anarchy. We have an hour of hard-hitting action coming your way, so let’s go to the ring and get things started.”
Davey Vega vs. Cole Radrick
Joe: “Unsurprisingly, Cole Radrick is the crowd favorite considering Davey Vega’s antagonistic relationship with the Anarchy fans.”
Vega takes early control of Radrick with some rudimentary offense but Cole surprises Davey with a roll up off the ropes for a two count. Springboard stunner rocks Vega! Some back and forth and Davey goes out to the floor to regroup. However, the Raddy Daddy soon maneuvers Vega into Lil Sebastian’s Curse. Kick out at two. The fans are enjoying Vega’s predicament. Vega tries to get something going with a couple of German suplexes but Cole bounces right back. Nothing Davey does will stick. Cole hits a diving lariat for two. Radrick counters Vega and lands a slingshot senton for the pin.
Winner: Cole Radrick
Angelina Love vs. Hyan
Joe: “The ladies are in the spotlight next as the veteran Angelina Love squares off against the up-and-coming Hyan.”
The women show sportsmanship by shaking hands before the bell. The match begins with a fast-paced exchange of holds and counters. Love levels Hyan with a spinning wheel kick in the first big spot of the contest. Love goes on a roll and gets a near fall with Lights Out. Hyan gets trapped in a Koji Clutch for an excruciating stretch of time. Angelina repeatedly slams her opponent into the mat. Hyan takes a lot of punishment but fights back. However, her efforts are short-lived as Love turns aside the comeback and hits Lights Out. This time for the pin. Angelina gives Hyan some encouragement and raises her hand as the crowd shows their appreciation.
Winner: Angelina Love
Gary Jay vs. Shane Mercer
Joe: “The face of St. Louis Anarchy, Gary Jay, faces off against ‘The Iron Demon’ Shane Mercer. We’re about to see a fight.”
The two combatants trade shots. The powerful Mercer effortlessly scoops Jay up for a tombstone. Mercer takes it to the floor and batters Gary in front of his fans at ringside. Gary turns the tide and brings Mercer crashing to the mat with a superplex. Setting Mercer up for a Roaring Elbow, Gary strikes and makes the cover. Mercer powers out at one to the dismay of the crowd. A pair of Michinoku Drivers has Mercer retreating to the floor to shake it off. Gary doesn’t give Shane the time to recover. Frog Stop to the floor! Gary turns up the heat. Roaring Elbow! Two! Suicide dives trifecta leaves Mercer struggling to get to his feet. Michinoku Driver, top rope Frog Stop. It’s over! No! Mercer gets a shoulder up. Gary can’t believe it. A miscue by Gary leaves an opening for Mercer who gets in a run of offense leading to a failed pin attempt. Gary fires back with a flurry of strikes. Death Valley Driver. 1-2-3! Mercer is angry with himself but gives Gary his kudos, raising his hand for the cheering fans.
Winner: Gary Jay
Joe: “That will wrap it up for us here in St. Louis. Follow us on social media for information on upcoming events. Thanks for watching.”
