After the opening graphics, camera shows Gordon Solie behind his desk. GS" Ladies and gentlemen, we are but 12 days away from Starrcade and the recent actions of one Nature Boy Buddy Rogers has thrown things in flux as it were. (Footage shown of Rogers tearing up Great Muta's contract). you see there, the contract of the Great Muta's title shot at Starrcade has been rendered null and void by Buddy Rogers, effectively suspending our PPV main event.
Commissioner Stanley Blackburn will be hear this evening to address this situation following our opening bout."
Val Venis vs. Amish Roadkill
Val dedicates this match to all the ladies, but especially one Ida Mae. Roadkill jumps Venis at the bell and pounds on him in the corner before hitting an Amish Splash.
Roadkill sends Val into the opposite corner and proceeds to miss a running corner splash, Val goes to Irish whip but cuts Roadkill off with a quick knee smash to the stomach. Val then hits a fisherman's suplex before hitting the MONEY SHOT for the win.

Commissioner Stanley Blackburn comes out and Has AWA World champion Nick Bockwinkel, Great Muta and Nature Boy Buddy Rogers out as well. Blackburn announces that tonight there will be a small round robin tag tournament involving the three of them and three mystery tag partners. The man with the winning team be it Muta or Rogers will compete for the World Title at Starrcade, if Bockwinkel and his partner win the tournament, then Bockwinkel can choose his opponent for Starrcade. And the first match begins.....now!
Great Muta & vs. Nick Bockwinkel and
Mystery tag partners for our world champion and the two potential title contenders. Bockwinkel's partner announced is.....MAGNUM T.A.!....fans cheer as Heenan and Bockwinkel have a quick aside. Great Muta's partner is.....HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN...Muta seems unimpressed, but the fans are loving it.
These partners were picked by Commissioner Blackburn specifically, so it will be interesting to see how the teams dynamics work out.
Duggan looks strong against the champion but Bockwinkel would be able to drop him quickly. Muta and Bockwinkel had very little contact in this bout. Muta uses green mist on Magnum who would manage to fight back and end up nailing Duggan with a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX, Muta slinks in the ring and drops an elbow onto Magnum and rolls Duggan ontop for a two count, Duggan then manages to nail Magnum with a FLYING SPEAR for the win.

Mean Gene with French Angel backstage. Angel holding a letter he received from a "friend in France" Gene says it's written in French and can't read it himself. Angel says that friend will come help Angel. At this point Ox Baker interrupts the interview and mocks Angel about imaginary friends and that no one likes the little freak. Baker grabs the letter and says "it's signed "AtG"..you can't even come up with a fake name?" French Angel's face is red and he attacks Baker and the two brawl until security breaks them up. MGO" Save it for the ring gentlemen, please!"
Ida Mae Martinez vs. Brandi Alexander
Brandi is in the ring awaiting Ida Mae's introduction. Brandi takes control early hitting a vicious front face kick. Pepper Gomez runs down and starts cheering Ida on, Brandi hits a suplex and then applies a standing arm bar. Ida counters with a hip toss and goes right into her patented DROPKICK for the win.
Val Venis comes down to celebrate her victory, both men raising Ida's hands but quickly begin to argue back and forth, they come to blows and Ida gets in between to separate them only to get clocked by a wayward punch. Ida is out cold and both men blame the other, they brawl back and forth while personnel checks on Ida and help her to the back, officials then separate Val and Gomez

Apter's first guest is #1 contender for the US Title, Mil Mascaras. In spanish, Mascaras speaks about the recent assault by Gotch and Gotch's second Angelo Mosca. It just proves that Gotch is running scared since he knows he can't win by a submission maneuver at Starrcade, and the clock is running down on his reign.
Apter's second guest is the far more boisterous Sgt. Slaughter. Slaughter goes on a tirade about the Russian maggots in the AWA, and that day in and day out the war continues. They have tried to lay me out on several occasions and with their numbers have even gotten the better of me on some nights. BUT NO MORE! I am issuing a challenge to them all, starting tonight I will face each one of them one on one including at Starrcade where I will take on Ivan Koloff inside a steel cage, until then, tonight Volkoff and then Zhukov, if I win all three matches, then I finally get a match with the worst puke of them all the little runt manager Nikita Breznikov, and if I happen to lose to either Volkoff or Zhukov then they can be allowed at ringside at Starrcade at the steel cage match. Gentlemen ...prepare for WAR!
Ox Baker vs. French Angel
Gary Michael Capetta's ring intros gets interrupted as Baker attacks French Angel, Baker hits a few shoulder tackles and rakes Angel's eyes. Angel fights back and soon both men are brawling on the floor. Angel rubs Baker's face on the concrete floor. Baker elbows Angel off and throws a steel chair at him missing by inches.
Baker and Angel back inside the ring where Baker hits a big boot before laying in a turnbuckle clothesline. Baker then hits a measured kneedrop and just blatantly chokes Angel on the mat.
Angel rallies back with gouges and bites of his own, Baker survives a this to put Angel back down with a nasty clothesline. Baker lies in wait as he watches Angel struggle to his feet and BAM! HEART PUNCH! Baker gets the win and calls for his carryout service to stretcher Angel away. Fans boo Baker as he laughs

Great Muta & Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Buddy Rogers & ?
Next match in the unusual tag team round robin event. Nature Boy Buddy Rogers awaits his partner and it is....Big Nasty ANGELO MOSCA!.
Mosca and Duggan start off tearing into each other, Duggan gets the better of Mosca before tagging in Great Muta. Mosca knock Muta down briefly. Rogers tags himself in and goes to work on Muta. Muta comes back and hits a handspring elbow and then goes to shoot Red mist, Rogers manages to gets his hands up but still gets a little in the eyes, ref calls for the bell.

Jim Londos vs. Al Snow
Great action here as Al Snow comes into his own, taking it to the TV Champion, Snow threw everything he had at Londos including a SNOW PLOW, and dropping him on the guardrail and several hooking clotheslines, some even from the top rope.
Londos wont' give in and treis to get Al worn down with submission moves. Snow survives 2 BOSTON CRABS but taps out to a grinding arm bar.
Postmatch Snow stands in the ring,seemingly talking to himself in stunned silence. Snow suddenly snaps and attacks Londos, he goes to deliver a SNOW PLOW onto the steel steps when Koko B. Ware comes down, D-Lo Brown follows Koko and tries to stop Koko saying it's not cool ot interfere in other's people business, Koko runs past D-Lo to stop Snow from hitting the SNOW PLOW. Snow leaves, as D-Lo expresses his frustration with Koko as he aids Londos.

Frank Gotch vs. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong
Bob Armstrong complains to referee about Mosca being at ringside, then decides to get his son Brad to come out in his corner.
Armstrong provides a good showing against the US Champ, Mosca and Brad exchange words and brawl at ringside, and both eventually get ejected. Meanwhile Gotch wears down Bob with several kneebars but in the end , pins Armstrong via a rollup after Armstrong missed a turnbuckle charge.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Nikolai Volkoff
Gary Michael Capetta again is interrupted during ring intros, this time he is threatened by Nikolai Volkoff who then proceeds to sing the Russian National Anthem, immediately to a loud pop Slaughter runs down and storms the ring and beats Volkoff to a pulp and puts him away with COBRA CLUTCH in under two minutes.

Nick Bockwinkel and Magnum T.A. vs. Buddy Rogers and Angelo Mosca
Main event, and tensions are running high. Mosca and Rogers work down magnum for most of the match. Bockwinkel looks strong against both opponents during his time in the ring. Rogers almost scores a pinfall against the world champion. Great Muta runs down to try and secure his place in Starrcade but Muta gets thwarted by Rogers' enforcer John Pesek.
Magnum gets put into the FIGURE FOUR, Bockwinkel jumps off the apron and walks away with Heenan. Magnum gets to the ropes! Rogers applies a FIGURE FOUR again but suddenly Mosca splashes Rogersand leaves him laying!
Magnum and Rogers alone in the ring and they struggle back and forth until Rogers pulls out the victory with a pin on the ropes! Rogers has secured himself his title shot at Starrcade!
