9-7 teams that make the Super Bowl make the BCS look good. The BCS is mostly predicated on opinion. The NFL playoffs are based on nothing but records. The Giants won their division. Last years champs the Packers can't say the same. Is the Packers SB win tarnished because of that? And they aren't 9-7. They're 12-7. They beat ATL, they defeated the champions, and then they beat the NFC West champs. They're on a 6 game winning streak. If they don't belong I don't know who does.

Your point? He's talking about when the Cardinals made the Super Bowl with an imaginary losing record. If the Seahawks made the Super Bowl, he might have a point. I think he means Seahawks. They are only team to ever make it in w losing record. Bird confusion.

If that's what he meant, it doesn't make more sense. there's not (2) 9-7 teams here, the Pats have only lost 3. As for the Giants, that's why they call it a wild card...9-7 is a lot better than when Arizona made it in with a losing record I'm reading it like the playoffs are the subject, more specifically the wildcard. Not the Superbowl. The subject moved from CC talking about the SB to Avarice talking about qualifying for the playoffs. He's talking about the "wildcard" and saying the Giants earning their spot is a lot better than when Seattle made it in with a losing record. Makes total sense if that's what he means.

Yes, I meant Seattle, my bad. I wasn't really talking about the playoffs, but I think vx was and I was expanding off that. Either way both teams are deserving to be here no matter the record. It's epic and should be a really good game...hell, both team championship games played and their drama throughout should be the action in the Super Bowl. If they have exciting Super Bowl like those 2, then it could be one of the best SB's of all time.

Giving my vote to the Giants, only because they did what they did to get here on the road. I think they will be hungrier for Lombardi.

Yup, what I comprehend is that Avarice referenced the Cardinals when making a statement about the Giants. What you assumed is that he meant the Seahawks. That concludes tonight's basic assumption comprehension lesson. So he meant Seahawks. I understand why he may have meant Seahawks. It still makes little sense to pump up the Giants by saying at least their not the Seahawks. Of course, they're not. The Seahawks didn't even make the NFC Title game. The Giants made the Super Bowl. In the future I'll make sure to read into and assume what people mean.

Anyways, over the past decade or so, teams that meet in the regular season and then meet again in the Super Bowl have a strong tendency to flip-flop winners. The team that loses the regular season meeting usually ends up winning the Super Bowl rematch.
And it's even rares to be a Belichick Patriots team twice in the same season.
My pick: Patriots.
I still ain't too upset that I have to work and will miss this game.
