What is the last CHIKARA DVD you watched?
I recently just got done watching Cibernetico: The Animated Series (I wanted to see a Torneo Cibernetico match)
I did not buy High Noon on DVD since I have it on my computer as an IPPV.
Now I am currently working on watching Joshimania Night One (it was waiting for me at the door when I got home this weekend) which at least at the moment has the distinction of being the final CHIKARA show at the ECW Arena and I also ordered The Thirteenth Hat last week too.

The last one I watched was Klunk In Love. I need to get Cibernetico next, then get into this season. I may get High Noon even though I have the ippv; as I understand it, the Smart Mark production of the DVD is shot from different angles and has bonus content not seen on the ippv.
I may or may not get Joshimania. If I did it'd only be for the Chikara men matches, since Joshi isn't my thing.

What is the last CHIKARA DVD you watched? I recently just got done watching Cibernetico: The Animated Series (I wanted to see a Torneo Cibernetico Agreed. I talked Mr. Diamond into driving up to this show because I wanted to see the cibernetico too.. Loved the excitement of security screaming at you to move out of the way every time there's a possibility of action spilling out your way. Also the girl Chuck Taylor pissed off made the match. I actually enjoyed this show more than High Noon which I also attended the next day.. Plus Diamond and I got to record for the throwdown lowdown here. |

Its always interesting in Easton with the lack of guardrails. You really have to pay attention. I remember one time Kodoma took out the same girl twice in the same match.
As for my Chikara DVD collection, some of these I have given away or traded, but here is all the ones I have bought:
Renaissance Dawns (1st 2 Chikara shows in 2002) - Not great wrestling, but very cool commentary during the shows by Quack and Bryce talking about the early history of Chikara. You can see Akuma in the crowd as a fan...he never moves.
Tag World Grand Prix 2006 Nights 1-2-3 - The crowning of the first tag champs. A great mix of talent and tons of tag teams I had heard about but never saw competed in this.
King of Trios 2008 Night 3 and 2009 Night 3 - Got 2008 for Demolition and 2009 because I was at night 2 but missed night 3. 2008 was super long with about 13 matches.
Hiding in Plain Sight - a great show from late 2009. Colony wins the tag belts, Danielson returns before heading to WWE (as part of Wrestling Road Diaries).
Creatures from the Tar Swamp - March 2011 show in Brooklyn that was the culmination of a bunch of storylines. Not the greatest wrestling, but good for catching up on the promotion at the time.
I got the High Noon iPPV, which was a must get. Thinking of digitally downloading the Thirteenth Hat show.
I've been to more shows than this, but generally dont have an interest in rewatching shows I have already seen in person.

You lent me this show, and I agree that it was fantastic. Colony vs. Osirian Portal had a lot of emotion in it, and it's always great to see Danielson in a Chikara ring. I urge anyone else looking for Chikara recs to get this one. |

I just got done watching The Thirteenth Hat tonight. I did not look at any of the results ahead of time which I think further added to my enjoyment of the show (I'll probably do this- not look at results but order the DVD as soon as it is available- at least a few more times this season since CHIKARA does a good job at quickly getting their DVDs released.) Watching this show really makes me want to restart my CHIKARA fed- I am currently working on some ideas for it.  |
