Sky High held off the Bolsheviks when Van Dam pinned Zhukov after a leg drop across the guardrail. Van Dam took a pounding here but managed to survive. Snuka got things back together for the team though Volkoff got several near falls and even Zhukov got in a few shots. Finally, RVD managed to catch Zhukov on the floor and then rolled him back into the ring for the win.
Gorgeous George edged Larry Hennig with the Rolling Hiplocks. The Axe used his size to his advantage and looked like he might pull it out over the Gorgeous one but George used a timely distraction to regain control and eventually hit a series of rolling hiplocks to put Hennig down for the count.
Jerry Lynn bested Petey Williams with a DDT. This was a fast-paced and fun match with Williams and Lynn taking turns controlling until a late mistake by Petey left him vulnerable and Lynn used that to catch him in a DDT to score the pin.
Diamond Dallas Page knocked off Ted DiBiase with the Diamond Cutter. The Million Dollar Man tried to bribe DDP out of the match and DDP took the money and started to leave the ring causing DiBiase to raise his arms and yell "Everyone has his price." DDP however handed the money off to some fans and then attacked the distracted DiBiase. The two brawled in and out of the ring and it was a very close match. For a while, DiBiase looked like he was going to take it only for DDP to reverse out of nowhere with a discus clothesline and then the Diamond Cutter for the three count.
The Valiants crushed The Southwest Spurs (Joe Blanchard and Scott Casey) after the Super Elbow on Blanchard. Casey never even managed to get into the ring as the Valiants quickly cut Blanchard off and pounded him down for a while. In the end, a perfect double team put Blanchard down giving the Valiants a big win for the upcoming tag team tournament.
Ivan Koloff pinned The Destroyer after the Russian Sickle. This was probably the closest match on the show as neither man gave an inch and both used their entire arsenal of moves. There were several nearfalls including Koloff using his chain and Destroyer with his Bombs Away and Figure Four Leglock but in the end, Koloff's Russian Sickle was the difference maker.
Bruiser Brody put down Brutus Beefcake with a running leg drop. Brody dominated almost the entire match as he tossed Beefcake around the ring while Bobby Heenan gloated about his big man calling him the champ in waiting. Brody eventually grew bored and bounced off the ropes dropping a big leg for the pin.
Bobo Brazil finished off Curt Hennig with a bear hug. Curt seemed out of sorts here for some reason and Bobo took advantage of it dominating most of the match. Hennig got in a few shots but Brazil never seemed to be in trouble. Curt would not stay down to a Coco Butt but a bear hug caused his limp arm to fall three times to end the match.
The Taylors overcame the Dirty Daltons when Tugboat pinned Andy with the Anchor Drop. Father and snn teamed up for a good tag match. The Daltons dominated early but the Taylors would not stay down. Chaz got his team back in with a near fall after the Chaztizer on Frank. The match continued for a while especially on the floor and ended when Tug hit his Anchor Drop on Andy while Chaz dropkicked Frank to the floor to prevent a save.
Buddy Rogers narrowly overcame Magnum T.A. with the Figure Four Grapevine. This was a fun main event with Magnum throwing everything at Rogers but Rogers managing to outlast him before taking out Magnum's knee and then locking on the Figure Four Grapevine. Magnum tried to escape but the referee counted his shoulders down giving Rogers the win.
