Meh RAW last night. Nothing too bad, nothing too good other than the opener with Jericho/Punk. IMO, Punk is making leaps and bounds with his character. His promo last night was awesome. He comes off real, conflicted, and an even bigger hero than ever now that we know a little about his family. Thank God his 12 year old skater brat feud with Lauranitis is over. Punk is finally becoming cool again.
If I have a problem with anything going on now it's the same old shit with HHH. As usual, HHH and his feud is being pushed high and above the title matches, and the rest of the roster. How the f is HBK smiling and happy that Undertaker said he was better than Shawn (who cares? they've both lost to him twice. wtf!) a better ending than your champion Punk snapping and saying "f YOU" on the air? If they wanted to keep with Punk's "loose cannon" and "pipe bomb" edge then this should have been the closing segment of the show. Not HHH, HBK and their fragile ego's.
Oh, and the Rock cut the worst promo of his whole career last night. What a joke haha

I thought the Rock promo was way better than it has been the past couple weeks, but that was probably because Cena wasn't immediately there to completely school him.
I do like how they have switched the focus of the undertaker match from 'Can wrestler x end the streak?' to 'Can undertaker keep the streak alive?' It's a new take on it, and while the execution hasn't been the best, I like that we aren't getting the same story for the fourth year running.

i thought the Rhodes-Show part was hilarious. Also loved how fast and strong D. Bryan went over.

pretty sucky ending. That's about all I got to say about RAW.

I do like how the 3 big matches (sorry but I don't consider Bryan-Sheamus a main event) have the combatants not getting physical before the PPV (If I'm mistaken please let me know). Gotta say that's good booking there.
Now the big question is will Cena & Rock finally slug it out next week on RAW in the final hype-up?
Yeah, Punk was awesome last night.
I also liked the "old school" interview with Orton. Reminded me of the old days with the "interview platform" where you could always see the ring in the background as the wrestler gave his promo.

haha, i was going to mention that. the only thing missing was Mean Gene. but the interview was only about 1 minute. I heard that is referred to as the Okerland Position. I like having that spot for interviews and think it should be used more. As for the 1 minute promo...thats about the extent of Orton's promos on his own. For long promos he needs someone else to carry the time, so he can just look at them with a crazy look and be silent for minutes on end.

Yeah that's true. As big a star as he is, he's not the kind of guy that's going to do a big interview and fire up a crowd.

I thought the show was a dud outside of the Punk-Jericho promo. The HHH-UT-HBK segment fell flat. I had actually been looking forward to it because I do like HBK being involved, it gives the match more intrigue.
Not sure what's going on with The Miz's character but I don't like it. I'm waiting to see how it plays out before WM but his promo last week was true - he won the main event of last year's show to retain the title and he's not even on the card. I'm sure he'll somehow make his way onto Team Johnny but he should be in a higher profile match.
I know they can only do so much 2 weeks before Mania but this past week's Raw felt WWE was definitely in a holding pattern.
But at least we get to see Maria Menudous in a Diva's tag match at WM instead of a Diva's Title match. ugh
Oh yeah Rock was absolutely terrible. Why do guys always feel the need to recap their whole career when they get old? I felt like saying, "I REMEMBER THOSE MATCHES - I'M A WRESTLING FAN!" Even though I know many fans didn't see all those matches but many of us have. Hate hate hate hate career highlight recaps done in promos. HHH, HBK, Foley, Flair, Hogan, and now we can add Rock's name to that annoying list.
