the video finally loaded up for me (not sure what was going wrong, but...it works now). Very cool to hear Tom's descriptions about all the wrestlers and ideas.

Good videos. Cool how working with an artist like Banks who had the Green Lantern saga that is inspirational (Blackest Night I believe) to be spun into a COTG angle. I did it with Marvel's Civil War angle. This is why comics and COTG can marry each other.  Will we see just anger preyed upon or will there be other feelings as well? Either way I'm interested in seeing who's turned next...I can easily see someone like Nitro who has a lot of angst, giving us a great upgrade...Retribution as well. |

Wow. I don't play the current years and have absolutely no idea who any of those characters are (LOL) but that was still cool to watch. Interesting to see the thought process for the art. Kudos Tom & Co.!

I would love to see Tom do these for some of the classic sets. For instance I would love to see Tom do this with the original set and hear his thoughts on the characters and how they turned out years later!

The year Chuck Carter was at GCON there was a lot of discussion about the first couple of sets. Things like how Wolf went through many changes, one of which became Incredible Badger in 2088. Then one day Chuck called Tom and said "I have Wolf" and that was the one we now all know and love. Other guys came together with the very first sketch, like Exo King and Lord Nexus. Renegade was originally a woman (Chuck's idea) but Tom nixed it. Chuck used Tom as a reference for Actagon, but Tom was unaware of it. Maybe others who were there remember more. |
