Darryl Banks has given an entirely different take on the character and it looks great. I was thinking instead, that Darryl shows great class by staying true to the character Chuck created so long ago. Here, all the exposed robotic parts Chuck used in 1984, are all that is also seen here (basically his right side/arm). Darryl didn't try to make King something more, by expanding on his robotic parts, instead staying true to the original form drawn by Chuck. As a huge Carter fan, I really appreciate that. I do love that Darryl added the throne. Perfect and obvious touch.

However, my intended position was a few sentences further down in my original response. He has done a great job of building on the foundation Chuck Carter laid some 27 years ago and bringing these characters up-to-date.
