4 New Trios from Invading Factions are set to join King of Trios.   The BDK send 2 teams, the 2010 King of Trios champions Claudio Castagnoli, Ares and Tursas, along with the team that represented them in 2011 of Tim Donst, Jakob Hammermeier and Delirious. The Gekido sends 2 teams as well, the Swarm of assailANT, combatANT and deviANT, as well as a trio consisting of 17, The Shard and another man with a grudge against the heroes of Chikara in Pinkie Sanchez. 8 more trios are still to be announced in the coming days. |

2 More former King of Trios teams return for the 2012. Last year at King of Trios a new tandem was formed of El Genrico, Shane Matthews and Scott Parker, named 3.Ole'. The trio lost in the first round but was so popular that they had numerous appearances together throughout the year.  The other team hasn't been together since 2009, the Roughnecks trio of Eddie Kingston, Brodie Lee and Grizzly Redwood. That team also lost in the first round of their only King of Trios event, but are putting aside their differences for a better showing in this upcoming tournament.  |

I thought it was a matter of time for those teams.. Next up, Throwbacks with Colt Cabana please!
Will Quack and Jigsaw team with one of Quack's former KoT partners, Johnny Saint?

Haha, and while two of these cards aren't Chikara cards, how about an HBK graduate team of London, Kendrick, and Danielson?

The Roughnecks could be a real sleeper team here. Not sure any time is a given to win.....be curious to see who the last 6 teams are.

Since Chewie spoiled them...here are the next 2 teams. The next 2 trios are combinations we havent seen in King of Trios...but are very close to teams that have competed before. The first team is the Throwback trio of Dasher Hatfield, Sugar Dunkerton and Colt Cabana. Dasher and Sugar have tagged with Matt Classic in the past who bares a striking resemblance to Colt Cabana. This trio should be a lot of fun.    The second new trio is captained by Mike Quackenbush and has 2 men he has tagged with and competed with in King of Trios on multiple occasions, Jigsaw and Johnny Saint.    |
