Here's the link to the article: www.rohwrestling.com/news/roh-world-tag-titles-vacatedDue to the unfortunate departure of Kenny King, one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, The All Night Express has been officially stripped of the ROH World Tag Team Titles, thus rendering the championship titles officially VACANT. As a result ROH officials have determined that there will be an 8 Team Tag Tournament beginning on August 3rd in Baltimore at The Du Burns Arena with the entire opening round of matches being featured at the “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV Tapings. ROH officials have also determined that the tournaments semi-finals and finals will take place at a later date. With that being said, ROHWrestling.com was also informed that the first team entered into the field will be: The 7-Time Former ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe!!
Keep checking back to ROHwrestling.com as we will be announcing teams throughout the weeks leading up to the big ROH World Tag Team Championship Tournament! And pick up your tickets right here for the 8/3 TV Tapings in Baltimore and catch the entire first round of the tournament yourself!!

Well no shock with King jumping to TNA. Be interesting to see who the other teams will be.

They should just give them to the Briscoes and say "We're sorry about that WGTT/ANX stuff. Now all is right with the world".

I'm always up for a big tournament. I'd like to see the Briscoe's win in the end. They're the dominant tag team in ROH and deserve to be on top of the mountain.

The Batiri from Chikara have been campaigning to get a spot. Wouldnt be surprised to see one team from Chikara in the mix, mind as well be them.

The Briscoes have won the belts 7 times I think and they had only recently lost them so it'd be cool to see someone else get a shot at carrying them, at least for a little while.
Wouldn't be upset or anything if they win the tournament but it might be cool for them to chase the belts for a bit.

I would think that the Briscoes need to make it to the finals. If ROH feels they have another team ready to carry the division, that team should beat the Briscoes in the finals. Otherwise, I'd like to see the Briscoes beat an up-and-coming team that could be elevated by a long-term feud with them over the belts.
