Combat Vegas Wrestling (CVW) Show #17: Bound for Gory May, Year Two Las Vegas, Nevada (First Half of show)
Match #1: Shane Strickland defeated Alex Colon
- a really good opening match finally won by Strickland via a moonsault dive
Match #2: Arik Royal defeated Adam Cole
- Cole, who last month was challenging for the CVW Championship but now finds himself wrestling much earlier on the show, lost when he got distracted by the sudden appearance of his old mentor DJ Hyde who was followed to ringside by Brodie Lee and some unknown wrestler. Royal then hit a distracted Cole with a powerbomb for the upset.
- afterward, Hyde entered the ring and introduced the mystery man as Biff Busick who Hyde said is joining Lee as his enforcers. Hyde tells Cole he (Cole) was wrong to break away from and feud with him (Hyde) last year in CVW after Hyde spent all the time to mentor Cole and says in July at Violent Fun Under the Vegas Sun 2 that Cole will be taking on Lee in a match after he (Cole) first takes on Busick in a non-tournament match at Tournament of Death II! Busick then hits Cole with a flying European uppercut followed by a Biff Blockbuster and then a HALF AND HALF SUPLEX before placing him in a chair at ringside where Hyde tells a beaten down Cole to watch the next match involving one of his upcoming opponents Lee.
Match #3: Brodie Lee defeated Shane Hollister
- without too much trouble, Lee prevailed in this match via a BIG BOOT as Hyde and Busick made Cole watch from ringside
Match #4: Robert Anthony defeated Jon Moxley (accompanied by Tyler Black)
- before this match started, Moxley announced that he had entered next month's Tournament of Death II!
- this match ended in an upset as Anthony defeated a surprised Moxley with TACO PIZZA.
- afterward an angry Moxley and Black proceeded to attack Anthony until the CVW Tag Team Champions (and enemies of The Shield) Brisoces arrived to make the save.
- after leaving the ring, from a distance, Moxley told the Briscoes if they want to concern themselves with their (Shiedl's) business then they can wrestle the Shield again at Violent Fun Under the Vegas Fun 2. Black then challenges the Brisoces to put the CVW Tag Team Championship on the line in this next match against each other. Jay Briscoe said they would agree to make that match for their CVW Tag Team Championship at Violent Fun Under the Vegas Fun 2 but then they (Briscoes) get to pick the stipulation for that match- a tag team barbed wire steel cage match!
Match #5: Jimmy Jacobs (accompanied by Steve Corino and Rhino) defeated Masada by DQ
- before this match started, Masada announced he had entered into Tournament of Death II!
- in the corner of Jacobs was Corino and Rhino who all together make up Team Extreme who Masada last month rejected when they offered him a spot in their group.
- this match ended in a DQ when the action spilled outside where Corino suddenly displayed a barbed wire wrapped bat and attempted to use it to smash Masada. Masada ducked out of the way and grabbed the bat away from Corino and in self-defense used it against Jacobs leading to the referee to DQ Masada.
- Masada was then hit from behind by a GORE! by Rhino. Corino then picked up the dropped barbed wire bat and proceeded to gash it into the forehead of Rhino to make him bleed heavily before Team Extreme finally left the ringside area.
Intermission. Second Half posted next.
