Let's start this thread off with someone in LOW currently.

Johnny Saint vs. Jim Breaks 3-14-73

Jim Breaks is the British Lightweight Champion here. This is a non-title bout and if Saint wins he'll get a title shot at a later date.

I actually got into watching the British style last year because of Saint. Saint is great but I was really captivated by Jim Breaks and Mick McMannus moreso than Saint.

yeah, Saint is fun, but Breaks is unreal. McManus is good too. There's a lot of fun once you get used to the weird rules of British wrestling. Also a kick to see Finlay in his younger years.

British professional wrestling, at least prior to Big Daddy taking over, did the best job in my opinion of presenting wrestling as pure sport. The round system, weight classes, etc., did a lot to promote wrestling in this manner, and gimmicks were somewhat kept to a minimum.

I've always really enjoyed it.
