That's a hard question to answer this year. Everyone has struggled to some degree.
I think Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are the people in the discussion. Brees is keeping the Saints relevant by sheer force of will. Rogers showed what he can do at any moment by throwing all those TDs in the one game. And Brady is the most consistent QB of the last decade as always.
I think Eli Manning was in the discussion but he's fallen apart the last month.

Aaron Rodgers is the very best currently. Brees and Brady are awesome players but Rodgers is the best thing going right now.

It's time to take Joe Flacco serious...With Ray Lewis down Flacco has led the Ravens to some tough wins!!

The Ravens are a pretty soft 8-2. Flacco also is not a consistent QB.

I would go with Peyton, he is old and coming off a season where he was injured and is doing pretty good for Denver. Brady is good but I think a little over rated. When he was hurt the back up QB still took the team to 10-6. Indy misses Peyton and they go 1-15. That is all because of 1 man. Patriots have an amazing system where they can take pieces in and out and still have a solid team.

The old "system QB" argument against Brady. Matt Cassel led the Patriots to a 10-6 record. Tom Brady leads them to 16-0, 15-1 seasons and takes them to Super Bowls (not to mention he's won some too). If anything, that argument just supports that Brady is the best QB of our generation. Peyton is number 2 probably.

The system argument happens because it's true. Tom Brady is a great QB and Matt Cassels gets 10 wins with the Patriots because of the system coach Bill has. Brady plays and he gets a few more wins. It's not like when he got hurt they lost all they games like Indy. They still won 10 games. Denver last year they went 8-8 with Tebow. Peyton come is and he has 8 wins in 11 tries. Systems work, that is why some teams win year in, year out for years and teams like say Detroit with all their star power has 4 wins. They have a solid QB but a crap system and I think egos are getting in the way. Coach B in New England wouldn't have some of those guys on his team because they are "I" players not team.

Matt Cassell was a much better QB though. Manning was replaced by the worst QB in the league. Had Jim Sorgi still been on that team they would have won 7 or 8 games.

Went 1-15 and now they are 7-4 with a rookie. I guess Peyton Manning was just a system QB? PS: Drew Brees LOL
