Historically speaking, either Buddy Rogers, Gorgeous George or The Sheik would be the greatest heel in the game.
I'm not knocking Rude at all, just saying that those three were on a much higher level than anyone else in the game. The only other person I would put in their league would be Fred Blassie.

In my recent draft, Rude went from my Smackdown brand to my RAW brand where he joined the Heenan Family. I am thinking about having Rude feud with Jim Londos who currently holds the Intercontinental Championship in my fed.

I think Rude played his role fantastically well in the then WWF. He was definately one of the most entertaining wrestlers to watch. Some people have tried to copy him but he is by far the best in that role. I agree that historically he isn't the greatest heel but in many ways it's just opinions, he was over really well in his day. Just thinking about those days makes me miss the whole late 80's early 90's stuff so much. Like a lot of 'popular' heels in the game I think his stats let him down a bit, there are a lot of guys I would like to push but their stats will never make them champs, at least not consistent ones. The best bet is to use these guys in high profile fueds and stack the odds in their favour with managers, interfering allies etc.

I've gotta agree with him being the greatest heel in the game, since chances of getting an official Piper or Jake Roberts card are ridiculously slim. Well, someone could make a crack offer to Jake and he could sign!

Rude is currently my Inter-Continental champion, having taken the strap from the Superfly. I too use him along with Hennig, Bundy & Link as a member of the Heenan family. However, the biggest heel for me back in the glory days was Greg Valentine, who I had the honor of meeting earlier tonight at an Indy show that also featured an appearance by Sharkboy, who defeated VPW champion Jason Static, but was not awarded the title due to DQ (I'm pretty sure that TNA contract didn't help either) & the ECW Zombie, perhaps the worst gimmick of the last decade...

Rick Rude is doing a awesome job in my fed going 8 - 0, He is the right hand man to Openweight Champion HBK. They are feuding with Dusty Rhodes and Bob Armstrong after HBK hired Ox Baker to take out both men with a heart punch...He did ...Dusty for 4 cards, and Aullet Bob for 9 cards. Rude is kind of a tweener as he doesnt try to get in the personal business of HBK but has his back regardless.
