I recently up bringing his card back to my fed, though I tend to use the Beast Choker as his finisher instead of the Wakigatame.
I loved the Beast Choker!
I was never a huge fan of Dan's pro wrestling stints in the U.S., at the time his strengths didn't seem to mesh well with the trends that were driving the industry. He probably would have had a better chance to thrive during the DuMont Network era into the pre-National Expansion 80s. That said, I've seen him perform some very impressive hard works in Japan, particularly during the early 90s with UWFi. Below are some favorites:
Here he is in singles, showcasing high level submissions and very crisp matwork:

Dan also formed a formidable team with Gary Albright, which was especially fun to watch under the promotion's unique rules of subtractive scoring (which heightened the importance of each suplex, takedown and throw that was launched). Their series with the Russians (Hashimikov & Berkovich) was top flight for the genre.

Far removed from the sport-like atmosphere of UWFi, The Beast tried his hand against garbage wrestling legend Tarzan Goto at King of the Death Match 95. While out of his element, Dan was a gamer and helped turn it into something special!
