It's May 1st and the voting period to determine the Second Induction Class into the Singles Wing of the CotG HOF has begun. With that follows the standard but necessary preamble...
This cycle will be focused exclusively on the candidates who earned a slate on the Induction Ballot during last year's Singles Class cycle. The assessing of new candidacies and the revisiting of the merits of those who did not qualify for this status in the previous cycle will be left for a future date.
To accommodate those who value their privacy and wish to participate by way of 'Closed Ballot'...every board member will be PM'd a copy of the voting slate. You can cast a closed ballot by way of a simple return PM to me. All privately submitted ballots will remain private beyond a simple counting calculation. Voters can also participate by way of 'Open Ballot' in the thread you are reading now. Please do not do both!
To recap the following issues were previously determined by way of majority vote:
i The voting threshold for affirmation has been set at 75%
ii Each ballot allows for a maximum of 37% Affirmative Votes. While voters _ARE NOT REQUIRED_ to max out any of their ballots...everyone is limited to work with-in that percentage. The total number of outright affirmative votes allowed is clearly denoted at the top of each ballot. Please do not exceed it.
iii Criteria for worthiness is dictated by the unique experiences of each promoter and not deterred by any 'official' game play barriers
Note that there is now a Tag Team Wing to the CotG HOF. This did not exist during the first voting cycle. In the Tag Team Wing, Gladiators Brute and Massacre were assessed as a unit and were voted as the first inductees. Being that both Brute and Massacre appear on this Induction Ballot for the Singles Wing, when casting ballots voters will ideally focus on measuring their candidacies as singles wrestlers.
With the ideal in mind of providing all members of the community a generous opportunity to participate...voting will remain open for a period of one month. If you know of someone who may not be actively visiting the board but may still have an interest in participating...then please 'be a helper' and reach out to them. Inform others about both the open and closed voting modes of participation and let them know they are invited and encouraged to become a part of the process.
Note that we are working strictly on the 'honor system'. Every board member account has been sent a ballot. If for whatever reason you have more than one registered account on this board...please do not vote twice.
Please note that all ballot casting is a ONE TIME affair. Take as much time as you may need with-in the one month period to determine your votes...but do not 'edit' open ballots or submit changes to closed ballots. Chose wisely....but only chose once!
CotG artist extraordinaire Werner Mueck has been commissioned to perform artwork honoring the inductees...should there be any. They would be added into the CotG HOF Gallery shortly after the votes are tallied.

The voting period officially ends at the close of Sunday June 1st PST. Please do not submit any Open or Closed Ballots on June 2nd or anytime thereafter as they would not be counted.
