Meanwhile, my Flyers are 0-3. Talk about ouch! I'm guessing either they're planning to move the franchise, they're hoping for a good pick in the next rookie draft, or they're just having a bad week.

My Blue Jackets had an impressive season opener with a shootout win over Nashville and a good game against Detroit that they lost in the shootout. But last night in Phoenix they looked like the Jackets of last year.

Would love to see Columbus become competitive - beautiful arena and surrounding area. Have hit a couple of games there and enjoyed them.
Philly, on the other hand...well, I hated the Flyers for years - that changed at the end of last year, and now that I'm pulling for them a little, they come out stumbling. Figures.

Sabres have the Canes back-to-back with tonights game in Carolina. It would be nice to see them take both games from the Canes, but we'll see...

Sabres drop 2 in a row and now onto play the Caps next, I'm with the guy (name slips me) on the NHL Network said this is a crucial season for Coach Ruff. Ruff has been with the team for too long and I'd like to see him do well this year, but in my honest opinion he needs to go next season if they miss the playoffs...

Buffalo continues to lose, people here in the Buffalo area are disappointed. I think the cold hard facts that Ruff's coaching is not working and yes it's early, but I don't think Ruff has it. Chicago is looking tough and tonight they have the Wild to play...

The Buffalo Sabres fired Lindy Ruff yesterday after a 15 year career as the Sabres Head Coach. Losing to the Winnipeg Jets at home and 19,000 + fans booing at the game was the tipping point. I like Ruff, but he was here too long and the players were not performing on the ice. Ruff is not all to blame, the players are another key factor the team is struggling. Ron Rolston will take over the remainder of the season, so we'll see what happens...

While it was sad to Lindy Ruff get the ax. I hope it enough to boost the Sabres back into contention. Mind you losing to the Leafs the next game didn't help matters.
I am a little disappointed in the Jets so far this season as they can't seem to find the back of the net on a consistent basis. I also think that their unreal travel schedule is a huge factor in how they perform from night to night. Can't wait for any kind of realignment.

The Sabres got smoked yesterday 4-0 at home to one of my favorite teams the NY Islanders. The team is just so bad right now, Ron Rolston has a tough remainder of the season coaching a team thats in a bad place. I'm hoping Buffalo can find the right Coach if not Rolston, but they also need to improve on it's roster... I like the Winnipeg Jets and hoped the former Atlanta Thrashers would've had a better 2nd year in Winnipeg, but I still like having the Jets back in the NHL. Relignment is needed for sure, but I'm not sure when or if that'll happen...
