I am a life long mets fan, I have endured many lousy seasons (especially post-2006) and real bad ownership but somehow I can't jump off the ship. LGM. That's cool. I haven't been to a Mets game at their new stadium yet, but I once got to see a game at Shea. I think next month I am going to the Mets-Phillies game in Philadelphia the night before I go to ROH's Best in the World in Baltimore.

The MLB record for losses in a single season since adopting the 162-game schedule is 120. The 1962 New York Mets posted a 40-120 record (two games from their inaugural season were never made up). Is this dubious 50+ year record under threat in 2013?

I haven't been to Citi Field yet either but I always watch or listen to the games.

Is this dubious 50+ year record under threat in 2013? I guess I should be happy that they didn't get those other two games in

Man...the Dodgers are really making it hard to enjoy the fact that I get to see them more often than I have in 23 years! getting wept by the hated giants was not a good weekend spent...

Two things.
One, on a personal level, I hope the guy is okay. But it was awesome to see the obvious concern on the face of the batter. No one wants to be a part of something like that.
Two, on a "rules" level--what is the procedure for something like that? The equivalent of a ground rule double, maybe?
