Thanks to Neilybob, DB1091, Emperor Scott "The Flash" Norton, and Victory Roll for the comments!
Highlights from USWA Championship Wrestling on October 13: • An interview aired that was taped in the locker room at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Coliseum from last Monday night with the three Armstrongs. All three were naturally distraught after losing the eight-man tag team Elimination Match earlier on the card. Bob said that Brad was the first Armstrong to compete in the USWA, making his initial debut in 2008. Bob joined him in 2010 and Brian the year after. Brian said that one of them has been in the area ever since then. Brad said that this wouldn’t be the last time that USWA fans will see the Armstrong family! Bob said that he hopes someone, anyone can unmask Doctor X! Back in studio, Dave Brown reported that the Armstrongs plan to compete in Southeast Championship Wrestling (SCW) for the foreseeable future. • An interview from Lou Thesz taped at his home in St. Louis conducted by Larry Matysik aired. The interview was recorded on October 10 after Thesz returned from the card in Evansville. Next to Lou was his lovely wife Charlie. Thesz stated that it was great to be back in the USWA again. He apologized to the Armstrongs for letting them down but that it took all four members of Doctor X’s team to beat him down and it took X and Baron Von Raschke together to eliminate him from the match. Thesz said that he currently has commitments in Central States Wrestling (CSW) and the World Wrestling Alliance (WWA) in Indiana and Los Angeles. But perhaps he will return to the USWA in the future. Maybe he will be the one to unmask Doctor X and maybe he will capture his fifth USWA title! He also stated that it was good to see his former manager Ed “Strangler” Lewis in the locker room in Evansville and he wished Pepper Gomez well in his quest for the USWA title! • Speaking of the World title, Commissioner Teddy Long announced matches for the November 5 card at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, which will be the last card in Memphis for 2018! o Harley Race will put the USWA World Heavyweight championship on the line against two-time former champion The Patriot! This will be the Patriot’s rematch after he lost the title back to Race last month in Nashville. The two have traded the title four times in 2018! o Long confirmed that Pepper Gomez will receive another shot at the World championship because of his countout win last week in Evansville! o Also in Memphis, former World Heavyweight and Southern Heavyweight champion “The Boogie Woogie Man” “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant will battle former Southern Heavyweight champion Mr. Hughes! The last time these two met one-on-one in August in Tupelo, Valiant appeared to have the bout won. But Jim Cornette and a pair of brass knuckles turned the tide in Hughes’s favor!
• The commissioner also added bouts to the October 22 card at the Community Center in Cookeville, TN! o Luke Harper will put the USWA Mid-America Heavyweight championship on the line against “The Fabulous” Jackie Fargo! Fargo has yet to lose decisively and this will be his first shot at a USWA championship! o In a big tag team rematch from last week’s card in Evansville, Tommy and Eddie Gilbert will take on the First Family of Wrestling’s team of Ray “The Crippler” Stevens and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine! The Gilberts gave Stevens and Valentine their first loss as a team, thanks to Eddie throwing a fireball at “The Hammer”! The Gilberts were interviewed in studio and Eddie said that since Stevens and Valentine had been double teaming constantly and cheating, he just decided to fight fire with fire! Depending on the outcome of next week’s main event in Knoxville, Stevens and Valentine could be going into this bout as the World Tag Team champions! o Another return tag team bout from last week will see The Fantastics taking on the House of Humperdink team of Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito! The Fantastics also suffered their first loss at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Coliseum, although an attack before the match by the World Tag Team champions the Tolos Brothers aided in that result!
• In a bit of poetic justice, it was announced that Dutch Savage suffered a throat injury, similar to the one Jackie Fargo had suffered when Savage’s attempt to use the object backfired in their bout last week. Savage is expected only to miss a few weeks of ring action.
The USWA returns to the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville on October 15! • Two of the top tag teams will collide again, when the former World Tag Team champions The Flying Redheads take on the House of Humperdink’s team of Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito! “The Russian Bear” and the Japanese Olympian are coming off ending the Fantastics’ winning streak last week in Evansville. Both of these teams would love to get a win and get considered for a future World Tag Team title shot. They have had some competitive bouts in the past. Which duo will leave Knoxville the winners? • “The Mouth of The South” Jimmy Hart was irate by Eddie Gilbert’s use of a fireball in the tag team match against Greg Valentine and Ray Stevens last week! This week, the manager is sending King Kong Bundy to try and gain revenge on Gilbert! Can the former World and Southern Heavyweight champion triumph over the New Jersey giant? • “Superstar” Bill Dundee and “Wildfire” Tommy Rich will take on Baron Von Rashcke and The Barbarian! Rich and “The Clawmaster” are scheduled for a singles rematch next week in Cookeville but you can bet that Rich will want to get his hands on the German grappler this week! The rulebreakers have a lot of momentum on their side, coming off sending the Armstrongs out of the USWA for a full year. Von Raschke especially is on a roll, being the sole survivor of that Elimination Match and eliminating all three Armstrongs. Which team will triumph? • “The Fabulous” Jackie Fargo gained some revenge on Dutch Savage for now and is looking forward to his first shot at a USWA title next week when he challenges Luke Harper for the Mid-America crown. But he cannot look past this week’s opponent—Hugh Morrus of the House of Humperdink! Can Fargo defeat the laughing man? • In a huge six-man tag team match, Southern Heavyweight champion “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson will team up with The Uptown Boys to battle Jim Cornette’s trio of The Heavenly Bodies and his bodyguard Mr. Hughes! Hughes and the Bodies have been causing problems for Marty Jannetty and Ric McCord. Last month, when Hughes challenged Danielson for the Southern title in Lexington, the Uptown Boys got involved, after seeing Cornette interfere, leading to a disqualification win for Hughes but not the Southern title. Will “Dragon” and the Uptown Boys topple Cornette’s team or will “The Louisville Slugger” and his men have a devious plan to win? • The main event will be a tag team bout for the USWA World Tag Team championship. The champions John and Chris Tolos will put the titles on the line against Ray “The Crippler” Stevens and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine of the First Family of Wrestling! Up until last week, Stevens and Valentine had been undefeated as a team since they started teaming in February. Their combination of technical skills, rulebreaking tactics, and double-teaming prowess have made them a formidable combo. The Toloses have been a devious team themselves and after their attack on “Classy” Freddie Blassie two months ago in Tupelo, they have become perhaps the most hated wrestlers in the USWA. It will be interesting to see whom the fans in Knoxville support. Fans have to wonder what condition Valentine will be in in this bout after sustaining a fireball from “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert last week in Evansville! The Toloses may have an advantage of sorts, given that it was in this same arena three months ago when they defeated the Armstrong Brothers to win the gold. Will new champions be crowned or will the Toloses continue their reign?
All these bouts, plus Mad Dog Vachon takes on Doug Gilbert! As well as The Patriot, “The Monday Night Messiah” Tyler Black, and more USWA stars in action!

Thanks to Victory Roll, Neilybob, Troy, and Dustin for the comments!
October 15, 2018 Card #560: Civic Coliseum in Knoxville
1) “Sodbuster” Kenny Jay kept up his recent win streak with a pinfall on George South in the opener. This was a back-and-forth contest. South came off the top rope with a flying body press and made a cover, hooking the leg, but Jay kicked out. South sent Jay into the corner but the Ohioan bounced back and blasted South with the Sodbuster Spike! Jay delivered two more Spikes and then some right hands, which drew blood on South. Jay delivered a fourth Spike to knock down South and score the pinfall in six minutes. The Knoxville fans gave the “Sodbuster” a big ovation for his win! **
2) Mad Dog Vachon defeated Doug Gilbert in four minutes. Coming off his team’s big win in the eight-man tag team Elimination Match, the Algerian brawler was aggressive here. He hit two double foot stomps and then used the piledriver (a move Gilbert uses as well) to score the pinfall. ¼*
3) “The Monday Night Messiah” Tyler Black made short work of Mike Jackson. Black largely dominated Jackson, hitting a flying forearm in the corner for a near fall. Black scored the pinfall a reverse STO into the turnbuckles in three minutes. As Black got his arm raised by Scott Bowden, with his bodyguard and Mid-America champion Luke Harper nearby, he looked focused on capturing his own gold when he gets another shot at the Southern Heavyweight title in the Triangle Match next week in Cookeville! DUD
4) Two-time former World champion The Patriot defeated Nacho Barrera in just over two minutes. Barrera had some early offense but the Patriot reversed a whip into the ropes and caught him with a power slam for a near fall. The masked American hit the Uncle Slam a few moments later to score the pinfall. The Patriot looked very impressive as he looks forward to a battle with one-half of the World Tag Team champions John Tolos next week in Cookeville! DUD
5) Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito picked up a nefarious win over The Flying Redheads. This bout saw frequent tags from both sides and the tide turning several times. Late in the bout, it appeared that the former World Tag Team champion Redheads might have things wrapped up, as Red Bastien hit the airplane spin into the atomic drop on Saito. He went for a cover but the Japanese Olympian got a foot on the bottom rope. Billy Red Lyons tagged back in and stayed on the attack. Sensing his partner was in troube, “The Russian Bear” jumped in but was cut off by Bastien. While those two brawled in the corner, Joe Wheeler was distracted by the illegal men. Lyons went up to the top rope but before he could take off, Sir Oliver Humperdink crawled up on the apron and nailed Lyons in the back with his cane! Lyons hit the mat and Saito was able to cover him. Wheeler turned around to see this and counted the pin at the 18-minute mark, just as Bastien turned around to see his partner in trouble. The Knoxville fans were not happy about the House of Humperdink’s means of winning! ***
6) “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert pulled off a huge win over King Kong Bundy after 20 minutes of action! Gilbert had a lot of offense against the New Jersey giant throughout the match but had trouble getting the big man on the mat for long periods of time. The former World and Southern Heavyweight champion managed to execute a short piledriver on Bundy, using Bundy’s own singlet for leverage to drive his head into the mat. He covered Bundy but Bundy powered out. Bundy battled back and slammed Gilbert to the mat. He hit a big elbow drop for a two-count. Bundy whipped Gilbert into the corner and hit the Atlantic City Avalanche. He went for a cover and scored a three-count but demanded the five! Scott Bowden agreed and continued but Gilbert kicked out at 4¾! Bundy was furious and delivered a second Avalanche. He went for another cover and again demanded the five-count. But again, Gilbert kicked out at 4¾! The Knoxville fans were rocking at this! Jimmy Hart couldn’t believe what was transpiring and was yelling instructions to the big man through the megaphone. Bundy stayed in control and tossed Gilbert out of the ring. He stomped away at him from inside the ring. Hart snuck over and handed Bundy the megaphone, then distracted Bowden on the other side. As Gilbert got back up on the apron, Bundy raised the megaphone above his head to attack but before he could, Gilbert unleashed a fireball at him! Bundy dropped to the mat. Gilbert reentered the ring, kicking the megaphone out of the ring. He covered Bundy and yelled to Bowden to turn around. Bowden dropped down and counted the pinfall! The Knoxville fans went wild, as “The Mouth of The South” was furious! Doug Gilbert and the Patriot came down to celebrate with “Hot Stuff”! (Tommy Gilbert was not present tonight since he was not booked to wrestle on this card.) ***¾
7) For the second week in a row, “Superstar” Bill Dundee and “Wildfire” Tommy Rich were disqualified before Rich could legally tag into the match. This week, they lost to Baron Von Raschke and The Barbarian. The rulebreakers attacked the fan favorites before they could remove their ring gear. Barbarian and Rich battled to the floor, while the Aussie “Superstar” and “The Clawmaster” stayed in the ring. Paul Morton finally called for the bell to start the match, with Rich and Barbarian still brawling outside. Von Raschke gained control and quickly went for the brain claw. Rich had grabbed a steel chair from ringside and smashed the Barbarian with it. Seeing his partner in trouble, Rich got fired up, entered the ring, and used the chair on Von Raschke. Morton was left with no choice but to call for the bell and disqualify the fan favorites at 1:12. Von Raschke and the Barbarian quickly retreated before Rich could use the chair again. Perhaps, this was a measure of revenge for Von Raschke using a chair on Rich last month in West Memphis. You can bet that Rich is looking forward to getting the German grappler in the ring one-on-one next week in Cookeville! Neg*
8) Hugh Morrus defeated “The Fabulous” Jackie Fargo by DQ in about five minutes. This was a quick brawl between these two grapplers. Seeing his man in trouble, Sir Oliver Humperdink got up on the ring apron and attempted to smash Fargo with it, as he did to Billy Red Lyons earlier on the card. Fargo intercepted the cane and used in on Humperdink but then used it on Morrus as well, right in front of Joe Wheeler. Unlike the earlier tag team bout, Wheeler saw the cane use this time and disqualified Fargo. Morrus and Humperdink quickly retreated. Hopefully, Fargo can keep his wild tactics under control next week in Cookeville when he challenges Luke Harper for the Mid-America championship! DUD
9) Southern Heavyweight champion “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and The Uptown Boys earned a very hard-fought victory over The Heavenly Bodies and Mr. Hughes in an amazing 32-minute six-man tag team match. The action was fast paced from the opening bell. A few minutes into the bout, Ric McCord sent Chris Candido flying out of the ring. McCord followed up with a flying body press between the top and middle ropes onto “The Suicide Blonde.” McCord returned to the ring and Candido was almost counted out but with his two partners’ help, made it back into the ring by the count of eight. A few minutes later, the Bodies took control of Marty Jannetty. Hughes tagged in for the first time and went to work on the man who bloodied him and defeated him last month in West Memphis. The bodyguard hit a thunderous power bomb on Jannetty for a two-count. Jannetty managed to tag McCord back in but Jim Cornette’s trio trapped him in the ring for several minutes. The Bodies executed the Prima Donna Plunge but McCord kicked out. Hughes was the legal man and went for a big dropkick but missed and McCord tagged Danielson back into the match. The Southern champ ran wild on one of his challengers for next week’s main event in Cookeville. Danielson went for the guillotine choke but Hughes used his size and power to block Danielson from syncing it fully. Danielson nailed Hughes with elbow strikes to weaken him and was then able to lock in the choke. Hughes started to drop but before he could tap, both Bodies made a save. Later in the bout, McCord ran wild on Candido, dropping several fist drops on him and then coming off the top with the flying body press. He went for the pin but Candido kicked out. Danielson tagged back in and went to work on his long-time rival. He sent “The Suicide Blonde” out of the ring and then hit a suicide dive. He drove Candido into the guard railing. Candido was spun around and smashed his face on the railing, getting busted open in the process. Candido managed to tag to the bodyguard Hughes back in the ring but Danielson cut him off as well. Danielson blasted him with his roundhouse kicks, which have become associated with the crowds chanting “Yes!” to each successful kick. Jannetty tagged back in and hit a top rope fist drop, which put the “crimson mask” on Hughes as well. Jannetty went for a pin but Cornette got up on the apron. McCord and Danielson chased the manager up the aisle. The distraction allowed Hughes to recover and he took over on Jannetty. The Bodies double teamed Jannetty, who managed to tag McCord. McCord got cut off by an elbow smash from Dr. Tom. Prichard tagged back to Candido but before he could leave the ring, Prichard got nailed with a superkick by Jannetty, who jumped in the ring. Prichard rolled out of the ring. Hughes came in and clotheslined Jannetty over the ropes. Just as quickly, “Dragon” came in and knocked Hughes out of the ring with a running knee strike. Danielson followed Hughes, while the legal men Candido and McCord continued the battle. Candido placed McCord on the top rope and climbed up, perhaps for a superplex or top rope huracanrana. Before he could attack, McCord blocked him and shoved him off. He then came off with a top rope splash and made a cover but Candido kicked out at 2¾. Danielson returned to the fan favorites’ corner and asked for a tag. McCord obliged and the Southern champ locked Candido in the guillotine choke in the center of the ring. A bloody Candido was forced to tap out. The fans went wild for this great match! As Danielson and the Uptown Boys got their hands raised, Danielson pointed to Hughes and Cornette and indicated he was read for Hughes and Tyler Black next week in Cookeville! ****½
10) The main event was for the USWA World Tag Team championship. The current champions John and Chris Tolos put the titles on the line against the First Family of Wrestling’s team of Ray “The Crippler” Stevens and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. The challengers were going into this match with only one decisive loss on their record. As many wrestling experts predicted, Stevens and Valentine were favored in this match. Perhaps the Knoxville fans were wanting to see history made and perhaps they really dislike the Toloses, along with fans in many USWA cities these days! This was a physical bout between these roughhouse duos. The champions double teamed Valentine for several minutes. John tried for a submission with a Boston Crab but Valentine made the ropes. John followed up with the solo version of the flying knee drop and went for a pin but Valentine kicked out. “The Hammer” managed to tag “The Crippler” but the Toloses swarmed on him and double teamed him, busting him open with punches in the corner. John scored another near fall after a backbreaker. Chris was the legal man and body slammed Stevens, then tagged John again, so the champs could execute the double team version of the flying knee drop. John went for a cover but Paul Morton was trying to get Chris out of the ring. “The Hammer” came back in and came off the second rope with a sledge to the back of John’s head. Stevens managed to tag Valentine, who came in and pummeled John. Valentine hit a falling elbow hammer for a two-count. Now it was the challengers’ turn to cut the ring in half on John. Valentine executed a shoulder breaker for another two-count. Stevens tagged back in and bite John right on the face, which drew blood. John stumbled around from the blood but managed to tag Chris. The champs regained control and opened up Stevens’ cut more. John used the corkscrew to make the blood flow but “The Crippler” stayed in the bout. Valentine and Chris were the legal men, when “The Hammer” became the third man in the match to bleed, after Chris face raked him with his elbow pad. Valentine managed to get out of the ring and tag but the Toloses continued the onslaught on Stevens. Chris had Stevens in trouble until Jimmy Hart jumped up on the ring apron to distract Morton. Valentine had been given the megaphone from Hart and smashed Chris in the head with it from the ring apron! Stevens was a bloody mess but had enough strength to tag Valentine. Stevens went around the ring and ambushed John, pulling him off the ring apron. The two brawled on the floor, while Valentine attacked Chris. He clamped on the figure-four leglock in the center of the ring. With John unable to save, Chris was trapped and tapped out after 38 minutes of action. Morton called for the bell and awarded the World Tag Team titles to “The Crippler” and “The Hammer”! “The Mouth of The South” was ecstatic that he now had the World Heavyweight and World Tag Team titles in the First Family! The Knoxville fans popped for the title change and for the Toloses’ loss! King Kong Bundy, sporting a bandage from Eddie Gilbert’s fireball earlier on the card, joined his First Family members in the celebration! ***** (NOTE: The total fatigue count in this match was 25 tokens!)

Highlights from USWA Championship Wrestling on October 20: • Jimmy Hart and the new World Tag Team champions Ray “The Crippler” Stevens and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine were interviewed in studio. Lance Russell congratulated Stevens and Valentine on the win. Stevens stated that he and Valentine proved they could outwrestle, out-brawl, and out-cheat the Toloses! Valentine added that most wrestling experts knew they were the best team in the USWA today and now finally having the belts proves it! Russell asked “The Mouth of The South” about the use of the megaphone leading to the victory. Hart stated that the Toloses have broken rules plenty of times and they probably got what was coming to them! • It was announced that Stevens and Valentine’s first challengers for USWA World Tag Team titles will be the House of Humperdink’s team of Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito! That bout will headline the last USWA card at the Louisville Gardens for 2018, which will take place on November 12. “The Russian Bear” and the Japanese Olympian have been a very strong tandem over the past year. This will only be their second time challenging for the belts, as their last shot was in September 2017 when they battled then-champions the Heavenly Bodies in Amory, MS. • Commissioner Teddy Long announced some more matches for the last USWA card of 2018 at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, taking place on November 5: o One-half of the new World Tag Team champions Greg “The Hammer” Valentine will be in singles competition when he battles “The Man with The Cast Iron Stomach” Pepper Gomez! Gomez is awaiting a rematch for the World Heavyweight title with Valentine’s First Family of Wrestling teammate Harley Race. Valentine will be looking to wear down Gomez prior to his title bout. “The Hammer” also has the advantage of his tag team partner Ray “The Crippler” Stevens having had many battles with Gomez, both in the USWA and Big Time Wrestling (BTW) out of San Francisco! o It will be a family affair when Tommy and Eddie Gilbert battle the now-former World Tag Team champions John and Chris Tolos! The Gilberts are coming off giving Ray Stevens and Greg Valentine their first decisive loss two weeks ago in Evansville and hope to keep that momentum going with a win over the former champs the Toloses! o Dutch Savage will return from injury and will be looking for revenge when he takes on “The Fabulous” Jackie Fargo! Savage’s attempted use of a foreign object in their bout two weeks ago in Evansville backfired on him and put him out of action for a few weeks. Savage was embarrassed and hopes to give Fargo his first decisive loss!
The USWA returns to Cookeville, TN and the Community Center on October 22! • In a tag team rematch from two weeks ago in Evansville, the House of Humperdink team of Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito will take on The Fantastics! “The Russian Bear” and the Japanese Olympian gave Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton their first loss as a team, thanks in large part to a pre-match ambush from the then-World Tag Team champions the Tolos Brothers. Can the Fantastics avenge that loss or will lightning strike twice for Koloff and Saito? • “Wildfire” Tommy Rich will go one-on-one once again with “The Clawmaster” Baron Von Raschke! Rich got the win in the first meeting last month in West Memphis when the German grappler used a chair. Rich and “Superstar” Bill Dundee got disqualified against Von Raschke and the Barbarian last week in Knoxville after Rich returned the favor and used a chair on Von Raschke, while he had the Aussie in the brain claw. Can the undefeated Rich continue his winning streak and avenge that chair shot or will Von Raschke stomp his way to a big win? • The new World Tag Team champions will be back in action one week after winning the belts when Ray “The Crippler” Stevens and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine take on Tommy and Eddie Gilbert! The Gilberts gave the First Family of Wrestling’s team their first decisive loss two weeks ago in Evansville, when “Hot Stuff” unleashed a fireball on Valentine! Give the champions credit for taking this match, coming off winning the titles from the Toloses in a 38-minute classic. Will it be the First Family or the Gilbert family coming out the winners in Cookeville? • One of the wildest feuds of 2018 will continue in Cookeville, when “Superstar” Bill Dundee battles “Exotic” Adrian Street! Street has given the Aussie several headaches this year, coming out on top in their matches largely due to Jim Cornette and Mr. Hughes. Can Dundee finally get his win over the British glam rocker? • Two-time former World Heavyweight champion The Patriot will battle former World Tag Team champion John Tolos! You can bet that Tolos will be in an enraged mood, coming off the Toloses losing the World Tag Team titles last week in Knoxville. The Patriot is looking ahead to his rematch for the World title on November 5 in Memphis but he cannot overlook the crafty Tolos. The masked American is fighting in honor of “Classy” Freddie Blassie, whom the Toloses attacked and blinded in August in Tupelo during his bout with the Patriot for the World title. The Patriot was irate that he did not get the chance to defeat Blassie decisively, because of the Toloses’ interference. Who will leave Cookeville the winner? • In the first of two championship bouts, Luke Harper will defend the USWA Mid-America Heavyweight title against “The Fabulous” Jackie Fargo! Fargo has been very impressive in his first six months in the territory, not having suffered a pinfall or submission loss to date. But Harper is always impressive inside the ring, due to his size, strength, and vicious nature. Can the big Nebraskan retain the Mid-America title or will Fargo strut his way to gold? • The main event will be a Triangle Match for the USWA Southern Heavyweight championship. Current and three-time champion “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson will defend the title against former champion Mr. Hughes, as well as “The Monday Night Messiah” Tyler Black! Danielson has had some tough title defenses against both competitors the last few months, losing two matches via DQ to Black and one to Hughes because of outside interference. Because of those results, Commissioner Long has added that no one will be allowed at ringside during this bout! It will be interesting to see if any temporary alliances will be formed at the start of this bout. One would think that the two rulebreakers may try to eliminate the champion Danielson at the start. Danielson’s unique offensive arsenal has brought him victories in seemingly difficult situations. Hughes's size and strength could help him prevail. Black is currently 14-0 overall in 2018 in singles. This will be only the second time that the Southern Heavyweight title has been defended in a Triangle Match and only the eighth time overall that any USWA championship has been decided in a three- or four-person match. Dave Brown reviewed the rules for this bout on Championship Wrestling: I. Two wrestlers are in the ring at one time, with the other wrestler on the apron, awaiting a tag from either wrestler. A coin flip will take place in the locker room prior to the bout to determine which two wrestlers will start the match. II. A wrestler in the ring can tag to the third man at any time. The tagging wrestlers may double team the third wrestler for a five-count from the referee, as in a standard tag team match. III. A wrestler can be eliminated from the bout by any standard method—pinfall, submission, disqualification, or countout. If the champion is disqualified or counted out, he cannot lose the title, as in a standard title match. The last wrestler left will be declared the winner. IV. For this particular match, no one will be allowed at ringside during the match itself. Who will emerge the Southern champion in this huge Triangle Match?
All these huge bouts, plus Mad Dog Vachon tangles with Chris Tolos! As well as Doctor X in singles action, and the debut of Bill and Randy Mulkey!
