HONOR IS EVERYTHING
Card #002 Philadelphia, PA
EDDIE KINGSTON vs. BRYAN DANIELSON - A battle of two of the top ten; promised to be a good one – the crowd was chanting for both men; both received a huge pop from the fans.
:: Danielson went for a waistlock suplex; Kingston dropped him with a lariat and KTFO’D him with a BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE.
:: Kingston made it a quick two in a row in the second fall with back to back BACKFISTS TO THE FUTURE to sweep his opponent 2-0.
EDDIE EDWARDS vs. NIGEL McGUINNESS - Both men were looking for a win in this one after both dropped two falls last week; the crowd was definitely favoring Edwards in this one.
:: Edwards caught McGuinness with successive DIE HARDS to take the first fall easily.
:: McGuinness shoved Edwards hard into the cage out of frustration to open the second fall; Edwards rebounded with another DIE HARD and it was over just like that.
MIKE MONDO vs. AUSTIN ARIES - Aries looked to prove last week was a fluke and received a deafening pop; Mondo quieted the crowd immediately by charging in to open the match.
:: Mondo took advantage of every opportunity for a nearfall and gutted out a HUGE victory with a NO FEAR DDT.
:: Aries was pissed to start the second and beat the hell out of Mondo with the cage until LAST CHANCERY put him away to even the series.
ADAM PEARCE vs. STEVE CORINO (*****) - Corino entered with a wave of heat from the crowd – there was a lot of jawing back and forth before this one got started; Corino shoved Pearce backwards to start the match.
:: The opening fall was AWESOME!! Corino tried to finish Pearce early with every dirty trick in the book and even busted him open with a foreign object. Pearce roared back (4 tokens) and took the first with a JUMPING PILEDRIVER that left Corino shocked at the ending.
:: Try as he might, Pearce just couldn’t put Corino away. Corino opened him up again; that incited Pearce to go on another tear that finally finished Corino with FIVE Last Ride Lariats.
Corino got nose to nose with Pearce and shoved him away by the face – Pearce surged forward but security quickly dragged the two men apart – Pearce’s face was a mask of blood but he raised his hand again in victory before leaving Corino seething the ring.
TOMMASO CIAMPA vs. EL GENERICO (*****) - Rival chants broke out - Generico got the bigger pop from the crowd; Ciampa took offense to the slight.
:: Ciampa bum-rushed Generico into the cage; Generico slipped aside – Ole’ – and hit a Yakuza Kick. Ciampa charged again; Generico went up the cage – Ciampa ate the cage – Ole’ – Ciampa grabbed him by the ankles for PROJECT CIAMPA…OVER!
:: In the second fall, Generico continued to avoid taking too many big shots; he even attempted BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! three times from the top of the cage but Ciampa somehow avoided them all. Generico dodged another cage-charge – Ole’ – and hit SPIKED BRAINBUSTER in triplicate to claim a win in a great match!
LOW KI vs. DAVEY RICHARDS - Richards received a big pop; Low Ki entered to silence – but he didn’t seem to notice.
:: They went back and forth with a string of counters; Richards missed a cage charge and Low Ki hit KI KRUSHER ‘98 for the surprising win.
:: Richards bounced right back and gave Low Ki a surprise of his own with a brutal onslaught of offense that ended with a multiple suplex assault and victory.
SAMI CALLIHAN vs. DRAKE YOUNGER (*****) - Callihan entered to the bigger pop; Younger just smiled as he entered the cage and charged him.
:: Drake ‘N’ Bake into the cage started a bloody run (6 tokens) that brought the crowd to their feet; Callihan wasn’t bothered though and gave as good as he got (5 tokens) – Younger just hit his finisher first to take the first fall.
:: Callihan withstood even more punishment (5 more tokens) but somehow found a way to victory with an Exploder Suplex to close an AMAZING match with the crowd awarding them with both with a standing ovation.
RHETT TITUS vs. MIKE BENNETT - Titus was clearly more interested in Maria at ringside than he should’ve been; Bennett took note and attacked immediately.
:: Titus survived the BOX OFFICE SMASH but not the PHOTO FINISH in a great opening brawl.
:: Titus caught Bennett immediately to start the second fall with a Thrust Buster and finished with a MUFF DIVER – that got the attention of Maria; who approached Titus slowly after the match and then put him down on the mat with a low blow before going to comfort her man.
KYLE O’REILLY vs. BRENT ALBRIGHT (*****) - The fans were completely behind Albright in this one; O’Reilly nodded to his opponent in respect before they began.
:: INCREDIBLE OPENING FALL!! O’Reilly opened strong (3 tokens); Albright responded (4 tokens) – O’Reilly struck back again and again (3 more tokens), but Albright caged him and closed with an Exploder Suplex to get the win.
:: The crowd was already on their feet to start the second; O’Reilly kept them there as he went right back at Albright (3 more tokens), but just couldn’t finish him – Albright connected with a 6-1-Knee into the cage and it was all over.
SCORPIO SKY vs. HOMICIDE - Homicide appeared with Hernandez in his corner; Sky offered to touch fists before the match – Homicide slapped his hand away.
:: Sky reversed Homicide into the cage right away and hit ACE OF SPADES three times; Homicide responded by jabbing his fork into Sky’s ribs three times – the ref saw the attack and called for the DQ.
:: A chorus of boos descended on Homicide; he dropped Sky with a lariat and went for another fork in his boot – the ref was watching for it this time and called for the DQ immediately.
RODERICK STRONG vs. MASADA - Strong promised he would break Masada in half in this match; Masada just motioned for him to bring it on.
:: Once Strong sent Masada face first into the cage – it was on! MASADAMIZER times two followed by a SKULLFUCKA BUSTER for the win.
:: Masada drug Strong right back to his feet and continued to work into the second fall; another MASADAMIZER ended the match in short order.
Masada pulled Strong up by the back of the neck and ran him face first into the cage – Masada, usually a man of few words grabbed the announcer and pulled him close:
Masada: “Lock yourself inside a cage with a monster; that’s what happens.” (indicating Strong)
RHINO vs. CHRIS HERO - Rhino received a huge pop – that infuriated Hero who started shouting at the ringside fans.
:: Rhino took advantage of the distraction and attacked with a side belly-to-belly suplex that set up GORE!!! in 14 seconds.
:: Rhino continued his attack; Hero managed to gather himself and broke through with a big boot, followed by a Cravate-plex for the win. (snake eyes)
Rhino was carted from ringside by the medics wearing a neck brace. Rhino INJ – 4 Cards
MICHAEL ELGIN vs. JIMMY JACOBS - The crowd was behind Elgin in this one – hoping that he delivered on his promise last week; Jacobs seemed in a world of his own.
:: Elgin pounded Jacobs down to his knees and finished him with successive SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMBS – that sated the crowd and they quieted.
:: Jacobs hit a low blow; Elgin grabbed him and smashed him into the cage to make him compliant before another SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB ended the match.
S.C.U.M. entered the ring and attacked Elgin; Steen blasted him with the World Title. The House of Truth rushed out to make the save, but it was too late – Elgin was already bleeding. Steen showed everyone the blood on the belt from the top of the ramp, then smeared it across the face plate and put it over his shoulder.
TYLER BLACK vs. ADAM COLE - The crowd didn’t care one bit about black; Cole on the other hand got a nice pop as he entered.
:: This fall was all Cole; three FLORIDA KEYS were more than enough to win this one.
:: The second fall was just as bad; two more FLORIDA KEYS and it was over – complete domination.
DELIRIOUS vs. CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI - Claudio got the biggest pop of the night so far – too bad Delirious didn’t seem to notice the pop he received.
:: The first was heavy hitting; Delirious was all over the place but a RICOLA BOMB slowed him down enough for a European Uppercut to finish him off.
:: Claudio didn’t wait for Delirious to get going again; he smashed him with another Roaring European Uppercut the moment he got back to his feet for the 1-2-3.
JOKER vs. DANNY HAVOC - Claudio’s pop was nothing compared to Joker’s hometown reception; they could care less about Havoc it seemed.
:: Joker delivered his best performance to date, but he couldn’t finish; Havoc took everything (6 tokens) and hit TOTAL HAVOC to steal the win and quiet the crowd.
:: Joker used the crowd energy to dominate again; this time though, he hit a Magnitude Bomb and the crowd helped the referee count the pinfall – one – two – THREE!!!
TELEVISION TITLE MATCH WILLIE MACK © vs. JAY LETHAL (*****) - The crowd was behind both men in this one; the Champion entered wearing the belt like it was gold bling.
:: Lethal hit his LETHAL INJECTION (4 times) but it wasn’t enough. Mack made a HUGE comeback to win with a Samoan Drop.
:: Lethal shook it off quickly and punished Mack for the loss. Each time Lethal surged, Mack bounced back with his own onslaught and secured his title with a CHOCOLATE THUNDER BOMB.
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH[/color] KEVIN STEEN © vs. AR FOX - Steen brought the roof down with all the heat he received; that said – they had no faith that AR Fox had a chance in hell of beating the World Champion.
:: Steen opened with a superkick and followed with back-to-back PACKAGE PILEDRIVERS to really make a statement in the opening fall.
:: Fox tried to use the cage; Steen embraced it and Fox paid the ultimate price for it. Steen busted him up and then finished him easily with F-CINQ.
Fade to black…

Honor is Everything was really wicked and I'm glad both Willie Mack & Kevin Steen retained their respective belts. Rhino being injured is huge and I'm loving the heat between Pearce & Corino...
