My sole disappointment here...
Wait, let me get this out of the way, first:
Awesome! So happy to be getting these two in the set, and the head-to-head art is an awesome idea!
'kay. Now: my sole disappointment is that I would almost certainly use them as a tag team, but I fear their cards may not make that a possibility. On the other hand, they could be one of those love-hate tag teams who beat the snot out of each other regularly, but kick nine kinds of butt when they tag up against anyone else.

I commented on the game mechanic, but I realized I forgot to comment on the art. I really like the drawings Werner did of these two for the online release of Legends of the Future better. This image does look nice and would make a great handbook cover, but it seems to lack when split up for individual cards.

M T, you're right. This art works better as the wrap-around cover art. I'm also not a fan of how Eddie Edwards looks like Perry White from the Curt Swan era of Superman comics. As a huge fan of both Richards and Edwards, I'm hoping we see special edition cards with alternate art for both men, even if it's color revisions of the LOTF cards. With respect to the massive amount of great work Werner Mueck has done, these two pieces just don't excite me.

Really like the Online artwork, not these so much (particularly Edwards). It is a cool concept, I just think it would be better suited as promo art or a handbook cover rather than their actual cards. Nitpicking aside, the set is looking awesome!

Here's a shot of the cards separated. I love them. Way different? Absolutely. Mthey could be one of those love-hate tag teams who beat the snot out of each other regularly, but kick nine kinds of butt when they tag up against anyone else. That's exactly how I plan to use them.

it actually looks fairly good even split and they'll look better next to each other...for the moment or two before I flip them over to run their matches.

Since I'm rebuilding my fed, FIST, which will combine Chikara, ROH, NWA, and COTG, I plan to send the Wolves against the Ultimate Fighters and maybe the gladiators.
