Been thinking about this a lot lately. There's a lot of ways you can go with an ROH fed. I'm conflicted between running it 02-03 style, where the shows are all supercards and having the Code of Honor be something of importance rather than something put up on the tale of the tape, and 06-08 ROH with a more open World Title scene, more frequent cards but the drawback is the Code of Honor wasn't mandatory, it was just kind of there.
How are you gonna run your fed? Are you going to base it off one of the past years of ROH, or are you gonna put your own spin on it?

The one thing that I don't like about the Code of Honor now days is that it doesn't mean as much as it used to. When ROH first started back in 02 if I remember correctly guys who didn't adhere to the code of honor were fined (Kayfabe of Course) So I will probably do the same thing not sure how but I want to do something of that nature.
For me I think I am going to run it with the 06-08 style because in my opinion that is when it was at it's best. The only thing I am going to include from 02-03 is the fact that the Code of Honor was mandatory and there were strict consequences for not following it. So it will be a lot of the 06-08 style with a touch of 02-03 style with how I will handle the Code Of Honor. Plus i'll probably run a weekly TV show like they do in the modern era (2012) so I am almost mixing three different eras in doing this but I am taking certain aspects that I liked from each and adding them in as I see fit.
That's the beauty of this game because you can run your fed the way you want to as there isn't a right or wrong way to do so. One person might do it one way where you decide to take a completey different approach.

I was thinking of doing the same. ROH 06-08 is my favorite time period for any indie fed. I think I'm going to go with the 02 Code of Honor as well, but I like the 05 revamp of it, which was:
- Shake hands before and after the match—if you respect your opponent - Keep the playing-field level - Respect the officials
So in that regard I'm conflicted as to which I'm going to do. Maybe a combination of both.
Side note: I hope we end up getting the ROH Legends set with Danielson, Nigel and (hopefully) Generation Next Aries (before anyone asks, he was different in Gen Next, and I hate TGMTEL Aries...well at least the ROH incarnation). A lot of fun could be had doing a 06-08 ROH styled fed with those three in addition to everyone we get in the initial release.

Good question! I will probably take alittle from each time frame and add alittle twist of my own. Scary with Danielson, Mcguinness, and Aries would be great and add a lot to the fed. Samoa Joe (which probably can't happen cuz of TNA) would take it over the top.

I am putting my own creative spin on it. my Ring of Honor (ROH) fed is going to be called Ring of Vegas (ROV) where most of the matches take place here in Las Vegas. The wrestlers will follow the Code of Vegas. I plan to play Ring of Vegas in real time with a weekly ROV TV show and a monthly IPPV. Most of my IPPVs will have Vegas type theme names (i.e. Going All In, Against All Odds, Deuces Wild- my tag team tournament, All or Nothing, Raising the Stakes, Let It Ride, etc.) My major annual IPPVs will be Vegas like names based off of their ROH counterpart such as Glory by Vegas, Survival of the Sinners, Debauchery Before Dishonor, Best in the West, etc. There will also be periodic Supercard of Vegas shows that combine ROV wrestlers with wrestlers from Lachikaras Vegas, Combat Vegas Wresting, etc. I plan on doing a Border Wars IPPV too. But instead of going to Canada, Ring of Vegas will cross the much closer US-Mexican border and perhaps do a show in Tijuana- the billed home town of El Generico. Instead of entering the Proving Ground, wrestlers in Ring of Vegas will enter the Gambling Ground where they will have to risk something (perhaps no title shot for 3 months, no appearance on the next IPPV, etc) in order to try and win a title shot. I have alot of ideas for Ring of Vegas and I am really looking forwards to getting it started with my first IPPV called The Era of Vegas Begins!

This is a good question. In my fed I ran an angle where CM Punk (the color bootleg version with stats by KB and art by Werner) is the "hottest free agent" on the indy curcuit. He made guest appearances in CHIKARA where his buddy Colt Cabana and Mark & Jay Briscoe were also competing. It wound up with Punk spurning full-time contract offers from CHIKARA and LOW overall and getting Cabana and the Briscoes to jump ship bringing ROH into my LOW universe, so to speak.
So I'm adding Punk and Cabana to ROH and starting out with my own way of booking things as far as faces and heels go. It won't reflect the current landscape of ROH in that sense and of course there will also be an inter-promotional rivalry with CHIKARA. My first ROH show is subtitled In Punk We Trust and will feature the start of a tournament to crown the first ROH Heavyweight champion. Now I am just waiting for my set to arrive...

My ROH fed will start off with current alliances and champions. I plan on adding a few more cards to the roster to get to about 32.
I will let the dice tell me where to go from there. I plan on running based on the current ROH schedule.
As for the code of Honor goes....... i am not sure what i am going to do....i was thinking of making it optional to start and maybe go to enforcing it as an angle down the road, but i still am not sure.
My ROH fed will run closer to real time, but it will be recognized by my current LOW fed the FWA.

Instead of Tournaments for the championships, I will do guantlet matches instead. I am going to add Super Crazy, Jerry Lynn and Delirious to the roster.
As for the code of honor, I hated it. So I will not be using it. I hate the lovey dovey kiss and make up trash that I see in indy federations today.
That is all I got.

I'm probably not going to run a ROH fed at least not at first. I have enough feds to keep going as it is. I am thinking about doing some tournaments using ROH, CZW, Hollywood and Chikara. Things like a Best of the Best or the Samoan Cup Tag Team tournament, using real world events as a way to try out the new color cards.

The wrestlers will follow the Code of Vegas. So... No one will talk about what happens at the wrestling shows?
