Chikara Podcast A-Go-Go ( February-March)
(Gavin Loudspeaker) Fans welcome to another addition of Chikara Podcast A-Go-Go. This month I am here to announce the teams for Marchs King of Trios Tournament as well as look back at the aftermath of the 12 Large Summit. Before we get to King of Trios we here at Ring of Chikara would like to congratulate the Big Rig Brodie Lee on winning the Chojin Championship despite the controversy that surrounded the final moments of the match.

(We go to video of the final moments as Claudio Castagnoli is on the floor and the BDK is being sent back to the locker room by senior ref Bryce Remsburg. Then from out of the crowd comes Eddie Kingston who hits Claudio with the Backfist to the Future and then an opportunistic Brodie Lee hits a Big Boot and covers for the three count.)

(Gavin) Due to those circumstances Claudio is demanding Kingston be suspended, the title be vacated and a lot of other things in Swiss that the front office didn’t understand. Needless to say Director of Fun Charlie Cox listened to Claudio’s rants but has decided with King of Trios coming up he had a better solution. He declared that at King of Trios that whatever trio Claudio was a part of would face a trio comprising of Brodie Lee and two partners of his choice and if Claudio pinned Brodie he would be the first to challenge for the title without having to gain the mandatory three points. Brodie said he would not find partners for the tournament and Director Cox said if that was the case he would personally choose two people to team with him, needless to say the champ was not happy.

(Gavin) The final big news coming from the 12 Large Summit Weekend is the continued gelling of the newly formed trios form of the Osirian Portal. Khety has worked well with Amasis and Ophidian and this weekend against the BDK duo of Tim Donst and Pinkie Sanchez he showed the most yet. After the initial apprehension when Khety was introduced to Amasis and Ophidian by the Dark Menace in January, things seem to be going their way going into King of Trios.

(Gavin) Now it is time to announce the 16 teams for King of Trios and remember matches will be drawn randomly prior to the start of King of Trios Night 1 with the exception of BDK 1 vs. team Roughneck.

1. Naptown Dragons (Drake Younger/Scotty Vortekz/Dustin Lee) vs. Team OVW-X (CM Punk/Brent Albright/Ken Doane)
Ever since their semi-final run at the tag team grand prix the dragons have been on a slide that even the Psycho Shooter has not been able to halt. The former OVW rivals were able to work well as a team tonight and their former grudges did not surface as they isolated Vortekz and Punk was able to put him away with a Pepsi Plunge.
Winners - Team OVW-X by pinfall (1 1/6 stars)

King Of Trios Round 1
2. The Colony (Fire/Soldier & Green Ant) vs. The dMp (Enigma/Lycosa/Halcon Oro) w/The Dark Menace
The mysterious man who introduced Khety to the Osirian Portal makes his managerial debut by introducing three men he claims are from the future and the first products of his Dark Menace Productions. Exciting fast paced match that saw the dMp get their licks in but were no match for the more experienced Colony who had Lycosa realing after two Ants Go Marchings and a Beach Break then it was Enigmas turn for a Beach Break followed by The Ant Hill that finally kept him down.
Winners - The Colony by pinfall (2 1/3 stars)

King Of Trios Round 1
3. Dr. Cube & The Minions (Sam Hayne & Dark Crossbones) vs. The Osirian Portal (Amasis/Ophidian/Khety)
Cube continues to push Sam Hayne despite his injures and once again he was singled out and punished by the Portal and despite some narrow escapes he could not escape the Egyptian Conniption.
Winners - The Osirian Portal by pinfall (1 1/2 stars)

4. Samoan Island Tribe (Samu/Alofa/Afa Jr.) vs. Los Guerreros del Infierno (Ultimo Guerrero/Averno/Mephisto)
The rudos from Mexico showcase their superior lucha skills that the larger Samoans didn't seem to grasp as well and Mephisto plants Samu with a Powerbomb for the pinfall.
Winners - Los Guerreros del Infiernos by pinfall (5/6 stars)

King Of Trios Round 1
5. The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield & Sugar Dunkerton) & Mike Quackenbush vs. BDK (Tim Donst/Pinkie Sanchez/Delirious) w/Tursas
Sugar starts the match by offering Donst a handshake that Donst reverses into a belly to belly over the top rope, Tursas rolls Sugar back into ring, SDT 1...2...kick out. From ther the match did not slow down down Sugar and Donst took the most abuse and it was the opportunistic Sanchez who put Sugar away with the Burning Snicklefritz as the other four were on the floor after a Delirious plancha took them all out.
Winners - BDK by pinfall (2 1/3 stars)

(As Delirious made his way back to the locker room ahead of the rest of the BDK he was stopped by the Spectral Enovoy. Hallowwicked once again got in his face and as Delirious touched Wickeds mask and seemed to realize who he was Tursas and the rest of the BDK ran in and began brawling with the Spectral Envoy as Delirious ran off into the locker room.)

King Of Trios Round 1
6. F.I.S.T. (Icarus/Johnny Gargano/Chuck Taylor) vs. Team ECW (Al Snow/Danny Doring/Roadkill)
A promising match ended in DQ as Al Snow brought out Head and abused Icarus much to the delight of the crowd and displeasure of Bryce Remsburg who eventually had no choice but to call the match in favor of FIST.
Winners - F.I.S.T. by disqualification (2/3 stars)

King Of Trios Round 1
7. Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) & Jigsaw vs. Spectral Envoy (UltraMantis Black/Hallowicked/Frightmare)
The Bucks and Jigsaw showed no chemistry as the Envoy kept Nick in the ring the whole match. UltraMantis ended it with the Praying Mantis Bomb.
Winners - Spectral Envoy by pinfall (1/3 stars)

King Of Trios Round 1
8. Roughnecks (Brodie Lee & Timber) & vs. BDK (Ares/Claudio Castagnoli/Tursas)
Match starts with only the Roughnecks in the ring with the BDK but after the match starts Eddie Kingstons music hits and he makes his way out to the ring much the displeasure of Claudio and the BDK. Claudio and Brodie never quite manage to get in the ring together but once Claudio and Eddie get in the ring all hell breaks loose as they spill out to the floor and as Timber and Tursas start going at it Claudio puts Eddie through a ringside table and gets disqualified for the action.
Winners - Roughnecks & Eddie Kingston by disqualification (1/6 stars)

(Claudio is incensed after the match saying there is a conspiracy against the BDK by Ring of Chikara and its officials. Claudio rants and raves awhile longer while the last thing we see is a smirking Eddie Kingston pulling himself out of the ruble of the table he was put through.)

KING OF TRIOS NIGHT 2

1. Daizee Haze (BDK) vs. Archibald Peck w/Veronica
Marchie Archie underestimated Daziee and did not take her serious and it cost him as two Mind Trips later the leader of the band was pinned.
Winner - Daizee Haze by pinfall (1/2 star) (1 point)

After the match Sara Del Rey charged the ring attacked Veronica from behind then slid into the ring and helped beat down Archie for his disrespect. (Archie injured 2 cards)

KING OF TRIOS QUATER-FINALS
2. Spectral Envoy (UltraMantis Black, Hallowicked, Frightmare) vs. Roughnecks (Brodie Lee & Timber) & Eddie Kingston
Before the Envoy get to the ring Brodie and Timber turn on Kingston and beat him down leaving him for dead. Brodie telling Kingston he didn't need his help beating Claudio and he will never get his shot at the Chojin Title. The Envoy while not happy with the situation take advantage of it and while Kingston tries to fight back Hallowicked and Frightmare hit the Headless Horseman and keep Kingston down for the three.
Winners - Spectral Envoy by pinfall (dud)

Rey de Voladores Elimination Match
3. Death Ray Sara Del Rey vs. Halcon Oro vs. Dark Crossbones vs. Dasher Hatfield
Very good fast paced match, Sara gets the first pinfall with the Royal Butterfly on Dark Crossbones, from there Dasher took over the match and pinned Halcon Oro with the Grandslam. The final fall Sara showed her wear and tear more then Dasher and succumbed to the underhand pitch giving him two points going into the finals of the Rey de Voladores tournament.
Winner - Dasher Hatfield by pinfall (2 1/2 stars) (2 points)

KING OF TRIOS QUATER-FINALS
4. BDK (Tim Donst, Pinkie Sanchez, Delirious) w/Tursas vs. F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano)
FIST comes out on fire and abuses Donst and on several occasions Pinkie and Delirious needed to save their "captain" from certain pinfall. Finally Donst makes the hot tag and the whole complexion of the match changes and both teams look like they have what it takes to win it all. Donst finally recovered from the earlier beating makes his way back into the ring as the others are brawling on the floor uses a Gator Roll on Taylor to secure the victory for BDK and set them up with a semi-final match with the Spectral Envoy.
Winners - BDK by pinfall (2 1/2 stars)

5. Paul London vs. Tyler Black
London controlled the match but could not keep Black down and this upset the usually calm London that when Black got tied up in the ropes London shoved the ref out of the way to keep assaulting Black causing the DQ.
Winner - Tyler Black by DQ (2 1/2 stars) (1 point)

After the match Brian Kendrick came to the ring and helped his tag partner assault Tyler Black who was still trapped in the ropes. Director of Fun Charlie Cox made his way to the ring and got his tag champions to stop their assault. DoF Cox said he was dissapointed in his Campeonatos de Parejas and he was suspending them for the next two cards. (Black injured 3 cards)

KING OF TRIOS QUATER-FINALS
6. Team OVW-X (CM Punk, Brent Albright, Ken Doane) vs. The Colony (Green, Fire, Soldier Ant)
The former OVW standouts continue to shine as they were able to isolate Soldier Ant and after a Pepsi Plunge from Punk Ken Doane came in and hit a full nelson suplex as Albright and Punk kept Fire and Green Ant from making the save and got the three count on Soldier Ant.
Winners - OVW-X by pinfall (1 star)

Re de Voladores Elimination Match
7. The Anarchist Arik Cannon vs. The Psycho Shooter Drake Younger vs. The Samoan Storm Afa Jr. vs. Slick Nick Jackson
Afa Jr. started out strong but the other three soon banded together to take him out first and it was Slick Nick with a 450 Splash that got the job done. Nick kept the momentum going as next hit two 450s on Drake with the second keeping him down for the three. In the end Slick Nick became the first person or team to gether three points as he put Arik Cannon down for the three after a front face lock into a stunner.
Winner - Nick Jackson by pinfall (2 stars) (3 points)

KING OF TRIOS QUATER-FINALS
8. The Osirian Portal (Amasis, Ophidian, Khety) vs. Los Guerreros del Infierno (Ultimo Guerrero, Averno, Mephisto)
The Warriors of Hell looked like a well oiled machine taking apart one of the best trios in ROC but whether it was the language barrier or just rudos being rudos Mephisto attacked referee Bryce Remsberg while Amasis was tied up in the ropes and got his team disqualified.
Winners - Osirian Portal by DQ (1 1/3 stars)

Los Guerreros beat down the Portal after the match until officials finally broke things up. Ultimo Guerrero then challenged anyone in the back to a no dq match for night three and despite the apprehension of Director of Fun Charlie Cox the challenge was accepted by ECW allumn Al Snow.

KING OF TRIOS - NIGHT 3

King of Trios Semi-Final Match
1. Spectral Envoy (UltraMantis Black, Hallowicked, Frightmare) vs. BDK (Tim Donst, Pinkie Sanchez, Delirious)
The BDK did all they could to keep Delirious out of the ring and away from Hallowicked and it is what probably led to their down fall as Wicked and Mantis were able to keep the advantage on Donst and Pinkie while Mantis and Frightmare handled Delirious. The end came with a PRAYING MANTIS BOMB on Pinkie as the Envoy advances to the Trios finals.
Winners - Spectral Envoy by pinfall (2/3 stars)

(After the match Ares, Tursas, Sara Del Rey and Daizee Haze come out and keep Hallowicked and the Spectral Enovy away from Delirious. Mantis shouted at Ares challenging him but no reply was given.)

King of Trios Semi-Final Match
2. Team OVW-X (CM Punk, Brent Albright, Ken Doane) vs. The Osirian Portal (Amasis, Ophidian, Khety)
The former OVW enemies continue to look great as they picked apart the Portal and had little trouble cruising to a showdown in the finals against the Spectral Envoy after Punk hit the PEPSI PLUNGE on Amasis for the win.
Winners - Team OVW-X by pinfall (5/6 stars)

3. Samoan Island Tribe (Samu/Alofa) vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill
Poor Doring had a bad night as the Samoans took their first night loss out on the ECW alumn not alowing Roadkill into the ring except for to break up two pin attempts. Alofa gets the win with the SAMOAN DROP on Doring.
Winners - Samoan Island Tribe by pinfall (3/4 stars)

4. Tursas vs. Green Ant.
Tursas started the match bullying the smaller Green Ant around but soon the rookie made his move and used his speed to get in some quick offense and then out of nowhere Green Ant slammed the monster Tursas and applied the Clover Leaf on three separate occasions before Tursas came back and hit the DIVING CROSS BODY to keep the heroic ant down for the three.
Winner - Tursas by pinfall (3 stars)

5. "War King" Eddie Kingston vs. Timber "The Insane Lumberjack"
Kingston looking to avenge his double team attack at the hands of Chojin Crown Champion Brodie Lee and his Roughneck partner Timber did just that as he was able to manhandle Timber, knock him flat with the Backfist to the Future and then put him away with the SLIDING D.
Winner - Eddie Kingston by pinfall (1 star)

(After the match Brodie Lee entered the ring and took Kingstons head off with a Big Boot. Lee then stood over Kingston and told him the Roughnecks will make sure he never gets a shot at his title. Lee then puts Timber over his shoulder and storms to the back.)

No Disqualification Match
6. Al Snow w/Head vs. Ultimo Guerrero.
Guerrero annoyed his team was disqualified after controlling much of the quater-final match with the Osirian Portal called out anyone for a no dq match and it was Snow along with Head that answered the call. Solid back and forth match that saw a lot of action on the floor used this to better affect and after a full nelson suplex got the one, two three for the win.
Winner - Ultimo Guerrero by pinfall (1 1/2 stars)

Rey de Voladares Finals
7. Slick Nick Jackson (3 points) vs. Dasher Hatfield (2 points)
Totally anti-climatic as Nick took the early advantage and quickly hit the 450 SPLASH for the win gaining his fourth point and the RdV Trophy.
Winner - Nick Jackson by pinfall (1/2 star)

(After the match Nick didn't waste any time and challenged Brody Lee for Chojin Crown Title)

KING OF TRIOS FINALS
8. Spectral Envoy (UltraMantis Black, Hallowicked, Frightmare) vs. Team OVW-X (CM Punk, Brent Albright, Ken Doane)
Once again Marchie Archie and Veronica are seen watching the match this time Doane takes exception and has a shouting match with him before the match starts. Punk and Albright slap Doane back into the here and now and unfortunately things don't last much longer as the outsiders continue their impressive ways by isolating Frightmare and as Punk and Doane cut off Mantis and Wicked from making the save Albright hits a half nelson suplex on Frightmare which he is unable to kick out of.
Winners - Team OVW-X by pinfall (1/3 star)

(After the match Director of Fun Charlie Cox comes out and awards Team OVW-X with the King of Trios Trophies to Punk, Albright and Doane, and hopes they will grace the Ring of Chikara ring again real soon.

(Gavin Loudspeaker) Welcome fans to another month ending edition of Ring of Chikaras Pod Cast A-Go-Go. ROC has just ended it's King of Trios and the outsiders have won it all thanks to some very impressive wrestling by all three members of Team OVW-X. Two people seem to have taken notice of this performance as the one man band Archibald Peck and Veronica were seen scouting the night three matches, even getting into a shouting match with one Ken Doane. When asked for comment Archie told us he has been impressed with the former Spirit Squad cheerleader and asked him to join his band, but it seems Doane did not take to kindly to the offer and he sent in word that he wants a match with Peck at the April show "Tonight We Rock".

(Gavin) Other important news is coming from King of Trios is Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks becoming the first singles or tag wrestler to accumulate 3 points to challenge for a title and in fact he now has four points after his Rey de Voladores victory over Dasher Hatfield. He made his intentions clear right after the victory and he will be granted his shot at Chojin Crown Champion Brodie Lee at "Tonight We Roll" the Saturday show in April while the night before he and his brother Matt will take on the Roughnecks in a preview match.

(Gavin) The Delirious saga continues to unfold and this time it may have cost the BDK a shot at King of Trios glory as team captain Tim Donst and Pinkie Sanchez seemed more intent on keeping Delirious away from Hallowicked then letting him loose and trying to win the match. After the match the BDK enforce got Delirious to the back while UltraMantis Black shouted insults and challenges towards BDK leader Ares. Today Ares sent word that he accepts the challenge and he and Tursas will have Mantis and Hallowicked.
