NO QUARTER August 31 2013 Milwaukee WI Mike Mondo def. BJ Whitmer by DQ The returning veteran, Whitmer, received a 'Welcome Back' chant from the crowd. Mondo was not so hospitable as he put a beating on BJ. Whitmer had his go on offense a few times but never gained any real momentum. A lot of the match saw action outside of the ring with Mondo getting away with a couple of chair shots. At one point Mondo even superplexed BJ into the crowd from the timekeeper's table. The match ended when BJ used a chair himself and referee Paul Turner called for the disqualification. The crowd started chanting 'BULLS**T!' Eddie Edwards def. Generico soars over the top rope leveling Benjamin with a suicide dive. Shelton cannot beat the refs count and Generico is victorious. Mike Bennett def. Adam Cole by pin The Prodigy made short work of Cole who got no offense in. Bennett used a spear to get the win. Barrister R.D. Evans comes to the ring and addresses the crowd: "At Best In the World, my man QT Marshall participated in a Proving Ground match with then Television Champion Adam Cole. Normally, Mr. Marshall would not be eligible for another Proving Ground match so soon, but my expert legal acumen found a loophole in ROH policy. Since Adam Cole is no longer champion, QT Marshall may enter the Proving Ground immediately." PROVING GROUND MATCHMichael Elgin def. QT Marshall by count out Elgin crushed Marshall with his power moves. Continuous power bombs and lariats had Marshall repeatedly leaving the ring for refuge. Davey Richards by pin Roderick Strong joins Kevin Kelly on commentary as this match will determine who he will defend the ROH World title against at DBD. Kevin asks Strong which opponent he would rather face. Roddy says Davey is predictable while Bennett lacks championship experience. He says he will be ready for whoever it is. "The Prodigy" wastes no time bringing the hurt to Richards. He puts together a series of devastating moves and tries multiple pin attempts. As Bennett starts to get cocky, Davey turns it around on him and has the upstart in trouble. Bennett gets the advantage back after some battling at ringside and puts Richards away with a Photo Finish. After the match, Bennett leans over the ropes near the announce position and mouths off to Roderick Strong. Roddy stands up, sets his belt on the table, and jumps in the ring. Bennett makes a hasty retreat while Maria runs interference. Roddy just smirks at her as she talks trash but slaps her on the bottom when she turns to leave. Bennett feigns like he's going to come back after Roddy but the champ stands in the center of the ring not budging. Bennett thinks twice and leaves with some coaxing from Brutal Bob. Kyle O'Reilly by pin O'Reilly had a good showing, dominating Edwards with his Muay Thai striking. With Eddie softened up, Kyle started working an ankle lock. Just as it looks like O'Reilly is on his way to a victory, 'Die Hard' catches him in a surprise cradle and gets the win. O'Reilly is disappointed but follows the Code of Honor. It should be noted that O'Reilly's manage, Truth Martini, was not at ringside for this match. After the break, Kyle O'Reilly confronts Truth Martini about his absence during his match tonight. Kyle: "Where were you tonight, Truth? Just hanging around back here with Matt Jackson?" Truth: "Now, Kyle, you know that Matt has a big match tonight against Cedric Alexander and Bobby Fish. We have a lot of preparation to do if The Young Bucks are going to get that title match against the Briscoes at Death Before Dishonor. We're a team Kyle. We all have to work towards the common good. Congratulations on your win, by the way!" Kyle: "I lost! No thanks to you." Matt: "Big surprise there..." Kyle: "What did you say?" Truth: "Now, now fellas! We have to get to the ring Kyle. Keep up the good work." They depart as a discontent O'Reilly glares after them. TRIPLE THREAT MATCHBobby Fish def. Fish takes it to the Buck but misses a handspring elbow in the corner. Cedric gives Matt an enzugiri and follows up with a full nelson facebuster. Matt rolls out of the ring but Cedric levels him with a somersault dive to the floor. Truth tries to help Matt but Ced tosses him back into the ring and comes off the turnbuckle with a Sky Fall Frog Splash. He goes for the pin but Truth grabs the ref's leg. Ced goes up again and comes down with the same move but this time Fish breaks up the pin. Fish puts Cedric in the Fish Hook but Matt comes off the top with a Moonsault but Fish kicks out. Time ran out before a winner could be determined. Adam Cole comes to the ring for his scheduled match. As Bobby Cruz is about to announce his opponent, the lights go down. Then a familiar entrance theme starts and the New York crowd goes crazy as Homicide appears through the curtain. Kevin Kelly: "That's Homicide! We haven't seen him in Ring of Honor for months. What's he doing here? Adam Cole was supposed to wrestle El Generico tonight." Adam Cole def. Homoicide by DQ Cole makes an excellent effort as he has Homicide on his heels. Some are booing this cold-hearted assault while others cheer Homicide on. FIGHT WITHOUT HONORBJ Whitmer def. Mike Mondo by pin Mondo sneak attacked Whitmer at the bell. RING OF HONOR TELEVISION 2013 Season Episode 31 ACH def. Tadarius Thomas by pin ACH had a relatively easy time defeating TD with a Big Bang Attack. In the dressing room, Truth Martini is 'preparing' Kyle O'Reilly for his match tonight. Truth: "You had a big win against Jay Lethal at Death Before Dishonor, Kyle. Our strategy worked perfectly!" Kyle: "What strategy was that, Truth? You spent the whole week working with the Young Bucks." Truth: "Never mind that. Tonight you're wrestling El Generico, so stick with the plan." Kyle: "Aaand... what plan is that?" Truth: "Use the same strategy we used to beat Lethal. Now get out there and win one for the HoT!" Truth exits with a flourish, leaving O'Reilly with a disgusted look on his face. El Generico def. Kyle O'Reilly by pin O'Reilly came out strong but Generico adapted quickly and used a Brainbustaaahhh!!! to end it. O'Reilly lingers in the ring afterward, wondering where it went wrong. Of course, Truth Martini is nowhere to be seen. Inside ROH: Kevin Kelly reviews the results from Death Before Dishonor XI last weekend, including Shelton Benjamin capturing the ROH World Television Championship from Michael Elgin. After the break, Homicide comes to the ring and threatens Bobby Cruz for the microphone. He talks about how the wrestlers in the early days of ROH were tougher. Guys like Low Ki, Samoa Joe, Dan Maff. Now ROH is nothing but pretty boys who are soft and have no heart. He says he's here to either get rid of these guys or make them tougher. He started with Adam Cole at Death Before Dishonor... At this point Adam Cole's music starts and he comes to the ring with purpose. He tells Homicide that he's not going anywhere and that if he wants to try again, they can do it right now. Homicide likes the idea and we have a match! Adam Cole def. Homicide by DQ Cole starts out aggressively with takedowns and dropkicks but misses one and Homicide pounces at the opportunity. He gives Cole a piledriver then pulls out his fork. Just like at Death Before Dishonor, he jabs Cole with it right in front of the referee. Naturally, he's disqualified. He rolls out of the ring laughing, then puts the fork in his mouth and flashes some gang signs to the camera. Next week: The American Wolves vs. The Gaijin Express.
