Welcome to the House of Truth, suckas! Most wicked swerve imaginable... Daniels spent so much energy courting Sabin that he never saw what was right in front of him... Same goes for me... I was so convinced that Sabin was bound for the Kingdom that I never considered the possibility of Martini scooping him up and leading him to ROH gold... Well done, my friend... Very well done... Not only does this set some really cool angles into motion (a potential rivalry between Dijak and Moose being one)... It also opens the door for Adam Cole to finally challenge for the top prize... Affluence will be feeling the shockwaves of this single incident for some time... There is no doubt that the main event some the show, but Supercard of Honor rocked Dallas to its core... From start to finish... Great to see Mark Briscoe returning to the ring in top notch form... And I can't wait to see a title rematch between the Kingdom and reDRagon... As commented on, Jay Briscoe continues to kick ass without bothering to take names... Where's Jimmy Jacobs again? Great stuff!

I agree with everything that Pariah said. Supercard of Honor X was great and that Chris Sabin twist was one I never saw coming. Not only does he win the ROH Heavyweight title from Jay Lethal but joins the House of Truth while making Affluence look foolish. What an incredible turn of events and now there will be a war of epic proportions between two strong factions. Simply an amazing finish to the night. It was also very cool to see both Jay and Mark Briscoe win their bouts and with both of Dem Boys around again things are going to be getting even crazier in ROH.

Pariah , cruefan68 - I felt that the main event came off pretty well and your reactions confirmed it. The dice gave me a couple of duds earlier in the night and I was hoping the main event would play out somewhat to plan and I couldn't have asked for a better result. More on that in a moment. The tag title match was good and left it open for a rematch. I'm glad Mark Briscoe pulled out the win against an always tough Silas Young. As Crue mentioned, both Dem Boys are set for big things and I have something planned that could be interesting. So, back to the happenings in the main event. I want to share some of my thoughts on the booking. First off, I planned for Sabin to join the House of Truth from the moment I got his card. But I wanted to play off him usually being a fan favorite and have him do a gradual turn. You know he's up to something, just not what it is. I was also facing a bit of a dilemma with Affluence. Jay Lethal was really under-performing and, as I've mentioned before, Moose literally was the reason he remained champion. But I was starting to feel Affluence's mob mentality was becoming too overbearing. I didn't want them to become like the NWO where I wasn't going to let anyone get over on them to any lasting degree. I don't know how you guys may have felt but it was just something I was starting to see. So, I wanted to bring them down a peg and I wanted it to come out of left field so they couldn't see it coming. It wasn't going to be the babyfaces getting the job done, it would be a sneakier heel faction. I planned to put Sabin with Truth and I feel Truth is such a great character so I decided they would be my Affluence spoilers. Naturally, this is a big shake up and I have an idea where it is going from here. Of course, as Crue said an epic war between factions appears imminent but it may not be the factions you think... Will Affluence and the House of Truth tussle? Probably. But there are other things brewing. The next episode of ROH Television will reveal this. This will probably be my last big swerve for a while (in my ROH fed at least). As Pariah proved, sometimes the unpredictable is predictable. He saw the swerve coming but thought I was going right when instead I made a left. I don't want to diminish the the power plots like this can have by conditioning people to expect the swerve. I will always shake things up but the hard lefts are off the agenda for now. If you read this ramble, thanks. And thanks for reading and commenting as always. I'm having a lot of fun creatively with this fed and there's plenty more on the way!

As I have noted before I think you do an awesome job with capturing the feel of ROH. I thought the swerve was perfect, it's not like you are turning into Vince Russo now that would be extreme. A good swerve comes in handy and it was great because I for one did not see it coming and you can go in a lot of different directions coming out of this. Thanks for that peek behind the curtain. It is always cool to see how other promoters handle things.

Uploaded to the Ring of Honor YouTube Channel: Affluence - SCOH falloutJay Lethal is tearing up the locker room, throwing chairs and kicking over anything in front of him. Adam Cole and Kazarian stand to one side, letting Christopher Daniels be the point man. Jay - “How could this happen?! My title was stolen from me!”Chris - “Take it easy, champ. We’ll work this out.”Jay - “And where were you?!” (points at Moose standing on the other side of the room) Moose takes a step towards Lethal but Daniels intervenes. Chris - “Obviously, this didn’t go according to plan…”Jay - “Plan?! Plan?! You and your plans! This is your fault!”Jay paces back and forth and starts to lose steam and appears almost vulnerable. Jay - “Adam. What am I gonna do, Adam? They took my belt…”Chris - “Don’t worry, Jay. Sabin, Martini, all of them. We’ll make them pay.”Lethal gets fired up again. Jay - “There better be payback! Cuz someone’s getting hurt out of this! I don’t care who.”On that ominous note, Lethal leaves as a worried Daniels looks to the others uncertainly.

bookerbill - Thanks for the comment, bb. I also enjoy when promoters share their thought process. I think you were one of the first one I saw do so. Just following the good example!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2016 Season Episode 13 The show opened with the House of Truth in the ring celebrating Chris Sabin winning the ROH World Championship from Jay Lethal at Supercard of Honor. Sabin explained why he joined the HoT: “Us Michiganders,” indicating Truth Martini, “have to stick together.” He and Truth then pointed and their hands like Sabin once did with his Motor City Machine Gun partner Alex Shelley. The festivities were cut short as, predictably, Jay Lethal and Affluence made an appearance. Christopher Daniels told Sabin that he made the biggest mistake of his life turning on Affluence. Sabin stated that Daniels was just butt-hurt that he got outsmarted. Martini added to this: “It’s what they call in the Book of Truth,” flipping through the pages, “Ah, here it is - it’s called: playing the player. Hahahahahah!”Truth and Sabin were cracking up and Lethal had heard enough. “You just started a war you can’t win. Every one of you, including you two,” pointing at Donovan Dijak and Adam Page. “You’re all going to pay. Starting right now!”Lethal began rallying his Affluence teammates as the HoT stood their ground. The impending clash was interrupted by a new voice. “Hold on, Lethal!” Michael Elgin was on the ramp. “I think you and your Affluence buddies have other things to worry about.” Elgin looked to the curtain as Dalton Castle, Cedric Alexander, and ACH stepped through, pumped up and looking for payback. “These chickens have come home to roost.”Elgin and his posse charged down the aisle. Affluence got into the ring to meet the onslaught. As the two forces collided, the House of Truth slipped from the ring unnoticed and observed with amusement. The fight continued going into the break. Back from break, Kevin Kelly commented that the chaos had been contained but he didn’t know for how long. ROH matchmaker Nigel McGuinness said he anticipated having his hands full during this round of TV tapings but he fully intended to keep order and would issue fines and suspensions if he had too. Kevin then threw it to the ring for the first match. Roderick Strong def. Bobby Fish by pin Fish had an impressive start against Strong but Roddy went into high gear and unleashed his full repertoire on Bobby. A LeBell Lock and a Gibson Driver were unable to finish Fish but a Sick Kick did the job. The Young Bucks def. War Machine by pin This was the third meeting between these two teams. The prior two encounters saw War Machine dominate with the Bucks intentionally getting disqualified at Supercard of Honor to escape another beating. The Code of Honor was ignored as fists started flying. Once the action settled in, it was Matt Jackson and Raymond Rowe the legal men. The Bucks worked over Rowe with a healthy amount of “Suck it!”s thrown in. Indytaker on Rowe but he kicked out. Ray made the hot tag to Hanson who rearranged Matt’s face with Snake Eyes then hit a crazy big-man moonsault for a two count. Nick Jackson was able to tag in for a back rake that Hanson no-sold. The Bucks double-teaming slowed Hanson down and he needed the save after taking an Indytaker himself. Another Indytaker was successful and the Bucks finally had one in the win column against War Machine. INSIDE ROH: Ring of Honor makes it’s annual trip north of the border with Border Wars, from Toronto, live on iPPV! The growing rivalry between ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Kingdom, and reDRagon reaches a new level as they face each other in a rematch for the titles, this time fought under no disqualification rules! Bad blood could lead to a championship match as new ROH World Champion Chris Sabin faces Matt Sydal in a Proving Ground match. Tune in next week for more big announcements! ACH def. Adam Cole by pin Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness announced that this match was made before the happenings earlier in the show and warned both Affluence and Michael Elgin’s group that any outside interference would not be tolerated and that he was determined not to let this situation get out of control. At the Code of Honor, ACH used the handshake to fling Cole over the top rope and to the floor, then hit Air Jordan to get this one off to a spectacular start. Despite the early set-back, Cole got right back into it and had ACH on the defensive. ACH recovered first after a double-down and came off the top rope with a Dragon Fly, hooking the leg for the upset three count. Blatantly disregarding Nigel’s warnings, Jay Lethal came out and attacked ACH as he celebrated the win. Cole joined him and before long, both groups were again brawling in the ring as the show closed. With the sins of their past coming back to haunt them, I'm not really sure that this is the right time for Affluence to go after House of Truth... That being said, I don't think Lethal will allow the loss of the World title to go unanswered for very long...
Enjoying the series between the Bucks and War Machine... Thinking were good for at least another couple of matches before issues are settled... Whoever comes out on top of this rivalry could make a serious case for a shot at the tag belts...
Really looking forward to Daniels vs Jay Briscoe for the TV title... Awesome stuff, as always!

Pariah - Affluence definitely have their hands full. They are reaping what they have sown with Elgin and Co. which benefits the House of Truth for sure. War Machine and the Bucks will continue and we'll see if either are in any shape to challenge for the tag belts when they're through. bookerbill - The House of Truth are going to try and let the other two factions battle each other, thus occupying most of Sabin's top challengers. Thanks for commenting guys!
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2016 Season Episode 14 FOUR CORNER SURVIVALMichael Elgin vs. Matt Sydal vs. Silas Young vs. BJ Whitmer Sydal started off against Whitmer. Matt opened with an enzuigiri that rocked BJ. Whitmer was on his heels for a bit but recovered to take the advantage. He gave Sydal a Buckle Bomb but Elgin got his attention and shook his head. Big Mike wanted in to show BJ how it was done. Whitmer made the tag but Elgin went to strikes instead, using a lariat and a spinning backfist to set up the pin attempt. Matt kicked out then Silas slapped Elgin on the back, tagging himself in. Young pounded Sydal and paused to complain about when he was going to get to wrestle a real man. Silas came off the top rope but Matt moved and made the tag to Whitmer. A two count after a superplex and BJ tagged out to Big Mike. Elgin Bomb but Silas kicked out. Sydal was back in and took a beating at the hands of “The Last Real Man In Professional Wrestling”. Young soon found himself on the receiving end of a rotating beating himself with each of the others taking turns. Sydal missed a Shooting Sydal Press and Silas capitalized with a Pee Gee Waja Plunge for the win. Michael Bennett def. Kyle O'Reilly by submission The feud between The Kingdom and reDRagon stemmed from Michael Bennett recently piledriving Kyle O’Reilly on the ring apron seemingly in an attempt to injure him. Kyle now had a chance at payback in this singles match. O’Reilly was reluctant to follow the Code of Honor and rightfully so. Bennett used it as an opportunity to grab Kyle and give him a knee lift to the groin. Then Mike immediately went for a Piledriver. Bennett gave Kyle two Side Effects and went for a cover, nearly scoring the fall. Mike kept the pressure on, pummeling Kyle and using Go Back To Japan for a submission attempt. Some more shots to O’Reilly and a Photo Finish for a near fall. Maria really got on the ref’s case about the count. Kyle tried getting fired up for a comeback but Bennett stayed a step ahead and trapped him in Go Back To Japan again. Kyle would not submit and the ref had to call it when O’Reilly was unresponsive.
